    This whole list can be sumed up by one phrase. "Give the user the option to...."
    Apple simply refuses to give its phone owners the control they need to personalize important aspects of the experience. Whether its notifications, home screens, third party app stores, navigation within apps, ect. Apple doesn't want you to have a tailor made experience. They want your phone to look and act like everyone else's.
    Hard pass

    I switched to iOS because of my TH-cam channel. Wanted a camera that was great and would connect to my Mac easier. (AirDrop is phenomenal) But since I switched to the iPhone 11 Pro i’ve constantly tried to switch back to Android. I miss the customization, back gesture, Google Assistant instead of Siri. I need to get a real camera for my TH-cam channel and then I can switch back to Android. Hopefully i’ll be able to save enough for when the Pixel 9 releases (or if the Galaxy S24 gets a huge discount)

      Well today Sunday May 10 th in US the 512 GB S24 ULTRA is $1419.99 and they are offering $615 trade in for s22 Ultra and $32.50 for veterans and $120 instant savings. Or $617.49 or $25.73 / mth for 24 mths...my S22 Ultra through Tmobile was $27 and some odd cents....but my credit is bad so since this is a 1 day offer I lose...even though I could pay S22 Ultra remaining $125+ and afford sales tax and payments

    hey sam, just wanted to let you know that the time sensitive notifications has been improved (at least in my experience with reminders), I’ve used reminders for the first time and then when it popped on my lock screen I wanted to test the thing, cuz I know well for a fact time sensitive notifications would disappear after an hour and I remembered your experience about that as well, well at least in the case of using reminders it kept my notifications up top on the locked screen for well over 24 hours, even had to restart my phone and still all good, so reminders is the way to go in my experience at least

It worked on their 3,5" and 4" screens becasuse those phones were small, even for the time, but now that we have 6,7" screens, like cmon Apple. The swipe from left to right is the most simple, yet the best way to replace the back-button.

      Also. 1 thing I love on iOS is if you tap the status bar, it scrolls all the way to the top of the page you're on. If anyone knows how to get this on android, let me know

    Oxygen OS does something similar with the notifications on the lock screen and its frustrating cause i have missed notifications due to them disappearing after unlocking your device.

      can you not get a custom notification app? I use spren to manage my notifications. it hasn't been updated since 3 years, and might not exactly be what you were looking for, but I'm sure you'd find some other options

    Long story short, apple needs to copy every feature of Android to make iphone functional. There, I saved you 14 minutes and 12 seconds.

    Why can’t apple hire you as a consultant, I would also like iPhone to have an app pop out mode like on Samsung and a secure folder feature.

    I am not really a big fan of this phone after owning it for 6 months now. The overhead issue still persists regardless of any updates. Titanium is not the best material for thermal handeling. The phone still glitches every now and then and face id has its hiccups. As for iOS, it's still limited (which is my preferred word to use more than "optimized") and hope iOS 18 offers something better. Anyways, this is my last iPhone before switching to android completely.

    And a proper EQ for sound experience. They only have presets. At least android let you use apps to control sound.

    I don’t think the navigation is the biggest issue. I think the notifications would be the call out. I actually prefer Apple’s navigation

    There is one change that Apple could do that would put an iPhone even close to my radar when purchasing a phone, which is just allow me to have superuser permissions on my own device (and unlocked bootloader). You can relatively easily get or by default have this on every other relevant OS so why it's not on iOS is baffling to me. All of the things listed in this video, and the dozens of other issues I have with iOS, could be fixed by the community if Apple didn't lock you out of your own device this hard. That's why I love Android, if there's something I don't like, chances are I can change it. Apple treating it as a problem just means I'll forever filter out iPhones when searching for a new device.

    I would need spam calls, spam texts and something like assistant voice typing. Oh and what's playing. I am beginning to think that the best way to experience applea and keeping my pixel 8 pro is to get an ipad because after using the galaxy tab s9+ I must much prefer the pad pro.

    There is no sense to swipe on the left to go on the home tab when you can press home, all those screens leave in the same main tab navigation, or swipe from the left to dismiss sheet presentation, when is full caver presentation it makes sense and I would like to see that on iphone, but there are ton of apps that swipe left do something else, so it is hard to do that just like that from apple side, and as developer we got some kind of warning at least 8 months before so it is not coming 😅

    • @Policepigeon
      @Policepigeon 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But if it's a universal gesture then you should build around that. That's like saying my car doesn't drive properly because there are road markings. The road markings guide the car, the car doesn't guide the markings.
      Also swipe from the very edge is the gesture, a few apps I've used use swipe from just before the edge or swipe from the middle to perform an action

      @@Policepigeon and as I already said, this is something that is addressed to developers for at least 8-10 month before, like ipad split screen etc, so you can upgrade your app, but this is not happening for know and iOS 18 beta is on the way in few months, maybe 19 if they ever plan to that

    since my sister has the 15 (normal, not pro or pro max) - i had it in my hands a few times. It is a nice phone .. it certainly gives you "insider-points" with the marketing target demographic ... young teenagers and young adults who buy into the Apple marketing.
    But because it is much harder to customize and "make it your own thing" - for most .. it is a uniform accessory. (pretty much the opposite of what Apple advertised for back then) - There is nothing creative, nothing "your own" about it.
    If the phone is a tool .. it does not matter what phone you buy. You will be 100% fine with a Note 9 or an iPhone 7 even today. If your phone is meant to be a fashion statement, too ... i would always go for something that i can customize to my hearts content, something that is not the norm, not a uniform accessory.
    All that is so very different from what you look for though .. you look at tech, specs and such ... things i find quite irrelevant.

    Great video! The App Library got on my nerves when I switched to the iPhone 15 pro max 6 months ago but the spotlight search is an incredible feature. Just like you, I like having a single clean Home Screen with the apps that I use the most but I must say that once you get used to the spotlight search you’d see that it’s miles easier than any android library. I just start typing the name of the app and press enter, it’s less time consuming then scrolling any app library.
    Also, to see the apps list you don’t need to press the search bar, just swiping down will make them appear in a list.
    To go back to Android I’d like to see google get a better chip, more power efficient and with less thermal problems OR for Samsung to drop Exynos for good in Europe because the sharp corners of the ultra isn’t appealing to me (past S22 ultra user).

    • @GeeEee75
      @GeeEee75 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's also a search option in the app drawer for Android.
