I didn't watch the video and Idk what is in it. But I don't have to watch it to decide that the Pixel is a shitty device. I'll be blunt, the pixel's software is fucking horrible. It is so damn buggy that it feels unfinished. Camera kept crashing every other time you launched it. Sometimes when you open it, it shows a black screen for a few seconds and then actually launches. I have experienced the camera app crashing many times as well while opening an image from the camera, or showing a black screen for a couple of seconds. It is just ridiculously bad. What irritates me more, is that people glorify its software. Who the fuck wants to use a phone this buggy? If I buy it for $200 then maybe. But I tried the Pixel 6 Pro, which was selling for over $550. There are lots of other issues that fuck up the "pixel experience", or maybe this is the "pixel experience" everyone talks about? What makes this even funnier, is that I made sure I upgraded to Android 13 when I first bought it (a month ago maybe), because many reviewers and users mentioned that A13 fixed lots of the software issues. I just can't imagine how a device can be shittier than the one I used!! If with A13 it was this fucked up, imagine using it with A12!! I am baffled how anyone would buy the phone brand new for $900 and say it is good.
I've recently bought a 6a, absolutely love it, having wanted a Pixel for years, I waited for an in screen fingerprint reader, (when I could afford one) as I'm not a fan of rear mounted sensors. One of the thing I loved about (old) phones with Home Buttons was that you could open them without having to pick the phone up. That's possible on the 6 onward, with the "always on display!" I like the "now playing" feature, being a muso, always on the hunt for new material to play and listen to and handier than having to open an app like "Shazam," and often missing the opportunity. I like the fact that it's possible to add it as an app to the Home Screen, very convenient. it's a great tool, until (which I often am) where music is being played constantly and it "sees" everything, so much so, that I end up having to remove stuff all the time. I find the "call screening" feature really useful. Always funny when scam callers give up at the first hurdle! Sadly, the "hold for me," feature isn't available in the U.K. Pity, that'd be so handy when waiting in the queue when calling the Doctor, or various companies! 😉😉

I got pixel 6 last week..before this I had been using Asus zenfone 5z for 4 years and I am surprised to see many of the pixel 6 features that people are finding novel have been there in the zenfone since 2018. Very handy features like Lift to check phone, put down to shh, tap to wake phone, front camera face based screen time out all were there in the zenfone that are now in the pixel 6. And I still miss important features like double tap to lock, limit the phone charging to 80%(as part of the battery care), face unlock that were there in the zenfone and not in pixel 6. And then there are some advanced features like great DTS Audio controls/equalizer/audio profile based on individual headphones/speakers, complete manual control of the cameras that were there in the zenfone and not in the Pixel. So, why have I opted this? Well, mainly because of the software, zenfone was stuck in Android 10 and also, the video capability is way better in this phone and zenfone video was no small thing(I got it for video). In fact camera is the sole factor on basis of which I buy phones, my past phones have been Sony k750i, K800i, Vivaz pro..so you can guess.

I myself haven't bought any Pixel phone bc they are kinda expensive and I don't have the money to buy one, but when I see a video like this I pray to god to let me have a phone like this.😌😌

I own a Pixel 6 and didn't know about some features eg the text selection. Very useful on Twitter if you want to correct a long tweet. Just copy text, delete tweet, and tweet again..
Some of them like live caption , pick up phone to check AOD , app pausing , quick tap , Google assistant typing available on stock android phone Motorola ( edge 40 neo which I am currently using ).
Anyone else have a Pixel 6 but dont have some of the features like dragging the image to the bottom of the screen to share with contacts and the url copying from a browser? good video btw those features are amazing
Cool feature for carpenters. Open the camera and you will see a line appear that acts like a line level. Stand the phone on what you want to level and as you tilt the phone left or right the line will display numbers and when you get a zero (o) you have just attained level.
Alternative to Rules is Samsung's Bixby Routines on mid-range and flasghip devices. And, the best thing about it is that it automates Mobile Hotspot as well. A very hand features for people in India. 😁
4:51 Face detection auto rotate feature was there on my 2015 Sony Xperia E4 smartphone and worked like a charm. still does not exist on my current iphone.
Overview selection where you can copy pictures, text or even use Google lens to search an image on the screen. I don't know if any other OEMs have this.
Pixel phones are just so smooth and beautiful, would love to have one. The live caption feature is also available on my galaxy a52 with the app "Sound assistant", which can also adjust audio on a per app basis, really useful
I have a Pixel 5 and a Samsung smartphone. I used to be Teampixel but now I prefer the Samsung. With the Pixel, I always need a launcher - if only because of the annoying search bar on the home screen. With the Samsung I can set everything as I want. In addition, Material You is now too colorful for me - I don't like the Google calendar widgets in particular. Samsung has the edge here. And I can really set a lot on Samsung WITHOUT having to use a launcher, even icon packs work with the Samsung launcher. Of course, there are also features that I miss. You can not have everything. Let's see if the Pixel 7 can convince me - then probably again with a different launcher :(
Same here. Samsung is more customizable and the toggles in the notification shade stayed as on Android 11 and are smaller compared to the toggles on Android 12 and above.
Material you with a light brown or natural color really helps it not be so bright and colorful. Actually pretty pleasing on the eyes but yeah the toggles are huge.
A lot of good points made here. The reason I am not a Samsung fan is all of the bloatware that takes up ram usage that could be used elsewhere. Pixel 7pro boots, opens, and processes things way faster then the Samsung s22 simply because of the bloatware in a Samsung. And as a personal preference, I just prefer the pixel UI way more

These aren't all pixel exclusives. Early Galaxy S line devices had this feature. Likewise with auto-caption. It's been around since at least 2020. The call screening and hold for me capabilities, on the other hand, are pixel exclusives that would be incredible to have on every phone.
The fact that this car crash detection thing is done by google before the iphone 14 mark it as an revolutionary feature is blowing my mind! Good joob Google
If had no idea what my phone can do. Some work is still needed. The live captions with auto-translate are mostly useless. The "text selection in recent apps" does not recognize non-latin fonts (cyrillic for instance).
Long exposure and now playing are cool. Auto rotate face detection as well. Everything else is on other phones as well. Android updated are not as relevant, they don't change much anyways.
The ability to Pin apps is awesome, when using your phone as a baby sitter. It needs turning on in the settings, but can then be activated in the Overvue menu by pressing the app's icon above its window. I use Neflix with the pin option to lock by little boy into the world of Peppa Pig if I need him distracted for a while. He then can't get out of Netflix no matter what he tries. To exit pinned mode, you have to swipe up from the bottom, and hold. Useful...

This aspect ratio fits my Xperia display PERFECTLY
Live Caption is actually a part of AOSP and is also available on Samsung. I wonder if it's available on other OEMs as well.
Alternative to Rules is Samsung's Bixby Routines on mid-range and flasghip devices. And, the best thing about it is that it automates Mobile Hotspot as well. A very hand features for people in India. 😁
Alot of these things in this video is avaliable on Samsung devices
So this video is a lot of misinformation
How do you get the phone screen to look so nice and crispy as the one in the video? Or is that just editing magic?
Jumped into Google with the Nexus 4. The software was THAT good back then. And it's only gotten better.
0:21 Where I get these wallpapers
4:51 Face detection auto rotate feature was there on my 2015 Sony Xperia E4 smartphone and worked like a charm. still does not exist on my current iphone.
how do you customize your icons to be like that?
beside being a good tech reviewer, this guy does a good job captaining Liverpool football club xD
omg i've had my 4a for over a year i didn't know you could do the face recognition auto rotate thing
i like the icon pack you have from the beginning of the video...
I was watching the always on display part, and looked at my pixel 6a to see the animation, the time was the same, 16h31, bug in the matrix
Overview selection where you can copy pictures, text or even use Google lens to search an image on the screen.
I don't know if any other OEMs have this.
U miss the social media app optimization part
That car crash feature is insane
14 features are ported on my Redmi K20 Pro. Working Flawlessly.
0:08 Please tell me how to get those icons style?
Raise to wake option is literally on every phone
app pausing is on every non pixel device i have
i have in built live caption on my samsung
Pixel phones are just so smooth and beautiful, would love to have one. The live caption feature is also available on my galaxy a52 with the app "Sound assistant", which can also adjust audio on a per app basis, really useful
Sound Assistant isn't needed for live captions, they are there on the regular volume panel too
But yeah per app audio only on sound assistant
@@thiagohdasilva oh ok, good
I have a Pixel 5 and a Samsung smartphone.
The call screening and hold for me capabilities, on the other hand, are pixel exclusives that would be incredible to have on every phone.
i downloaded pixel experience custom rom and these still work ty
2:19 That's just breach of privacy and not a feature
My Sony Experia I mk 3 can screen calls. I love the feature!
Text selection feature is ground breaking
I have pixel as my second phase and slowly it became the first for me.
The fact that this car crash detection thing is done by google before the iphone 14 mark it as an revolutionary feature is blowing my mind! Good joob Google
amazing video mate
Lift to wake is pretty much on any phone nowadays and has been for a good while. 🤔
Hey man I'm really obsessed with your icons...could you tell me how to find them?
With AOD, I never see my lockscreen, and I don't need "Lift to check phone", too.
How can i activate the iconstyle that is shown in the introduction?
Those are some dope wallpaper
They have call screening with the pixel 2 as well.
Hey Sam, great video as always. I hope you can answer me, where do you get your wallpapers from?
As an iPhone user, I'd only purchase a Pixel if I had to switch back to Android. You can't beat the clean software experience.
It is clean, but very, very limited
Try one ui
Very good description 🤠
I loved the video. Was checking this out to buy a pixel 7 coming on the 6th 😌
Plz do a video for one plus’s oxygen os on rooting and features as well
Omg yess. Coming from a pixel 4XL to a Samsung I miss so many things. 😭
Great work man, Please uncover exclusive features from Oppo's skin ColorOS!!
Would like to know what the first things you would do on pixel 7…to get the best experience 😮 great videos 👍
We know google is listening everything around but at least they help us to id what song is now
Keep it up fam! 🤙
Useful...
Your pixel's car crash location is surprisingly close to me
