Purgatory Canyon 1866: Rocky Descent into the Canyon

This American Civil War campaigner reenacting event for civilians, infantry, and cavalry will immerse you in what life was like in 1866 Colorado Territory.
Infantry marched 12 miles with full kit - this includes musket and knapsacks. 22 men started the march and only 9 made it to the end.
Event was held in April 2024 at Picket Wire Corrals near La Junta Colorado

it was tough .. especially hours into the march in the hot hot sun. We had planed on marching out the last day of the event but that was cancelled do to the conditions. THANKS pard for the comment.

I was a bit concerned about this, but NO issues - not see in the video but we used iodine tablets. This makes me truly appreciate our water treatment centers.
