Hayne is proof that the NRL needs to do more to protect players from themselves. These kids go from nothing, to everything at an age when you think your bulletproof and they need someone there who doesn't want to make anything from them, to just look after them and guide them.

the most talented player to ever play rugby league, in its entire history. everything on the field he could do at an elite level, similar to joey, but more powerful, faster, more athletic. too talented for hes own good... won 2 daly ms yet didnt reach anywhere near hes potential. if only he stayed in the nrl and had another couple years under arthur in hes prime.. we were robbed of greatness
