+BounceTo TheBeat he is going to rugby in europe or Japan , MAYBE back to NRL but depends on which club still has salary cap room left . This whole olympics thing is just a PR excuse so the 49ers dont look bad and Hayne is spared the indignity of being cut , knew he wouldn't make the 53 this season with the draft picks and RB's they resigned from last year.
That was not the case, he wanted to pursue his rugby career to secure a spot in Fiji's sevens squad for Rio in 2016-2017. The 49ers coaches did not pay him too much either.
@@r49y92 hayne was dropped to practice squad. He basically wouldn’t be on the team anymore. And no other teams showed interest and he left back to rugby.
Joshua Browne ...honestly . He was a lousy running back because he couldn’t learn how to run like a running back . He runs like a world class rugby player. Great on kick returns because he understood how it was done . You need to run like you should be ready for contact , leaning forward about to fall on your face but your power strokes of your stride keep you up . Remember in the nfl if as a running back you average 4 yards a carry you get a contract for 2 million a year or more . Still love his effort and he took it all in stride 🙋♂️
You have to keep in mind he did well in the preseason but he was also playing against others who mostly were trying to make the team as well. Once the regular season started he then played against the elites which is a different ball game. Wish he had a bit more time and practice he would have been great.
Ya Father he only got a sniff because they were a joke . He isn’t good enough at nfl certainly a great athlete and league player .but it’s near impossible for anyone of a hundred university first teamers to make the grade let alone a newbie .

mets12100 Yeah but the 2016 roster will be harder for him to get onto, I think. The only things that he has on his side is the "flexibility" he has on the positions that he plays: Running Back and Punt Returner (he's not just restricted to one position) and he already knows some of the 49ers playbook.
+phpeters87 pads are for pussies, real men play rugby.. :) (sorry to all the regular yanks out there, I actually like gridion meself, get sick of the arrogant comparisons tho- both ways)hayne was arguably one of the best players at his position(fullback) of his time(NSW will say yes/QLD no), he made the Australian team but not at his usual position, he made it where we were weaker at that time, he's a great league player, and a decent bloke, and very popular player especially in Sydney/NSW- if he had of gone to America and started a mower business the press here would have followed him everywhere(media are more useless than an ashtray on a motorbike anywhere in the world).. the two sports are very different and he has a lot to learn obviously, he has always liked it and always wanted to give it a go since he was younger so now he's trying, took a huge paycut to try too.. it's going to be tough for him and can only be good for your sports popularity outside of America if he does succeed(hayne is Fijian/Australian and very popular in both the pacific islands, and Australia).. if league (rugby and rugby league are two different sports by the way) was so easy half of the American players that don't quite cut it in the nfl would come out here for a few years and make an easy mill a year, but it don't happen cause it's hard for anyone to learn and be good enough for the top level of any sport.. rugby league and nfl run different times of the year, by enjoying both I get a solid 12 months of heavy contact football, go watch some vids of rugby league's biggest hits and fights if you think it aint just as tough, cunt's will fuck'n smash each other playin both offense and defense for a full 90 mins nearly non-stop too, anyone with half a brain can see that both sports are brutal and fuck'n better than soccer (no offense soccer fans, if you don't like it dive on the ground and call foul, I know you can :)), if you see some internet troll rugby fan bashin on gridiron than go ahead, have your little rant if it makes you feel better, but I don't get hatin on a guy givin his all and tryin his best to be the best he can at what he wants to do, even if it means givin up $, just cause he came from a different sport and still has a lot to learn.. of course his going to make mistakes, and obviously his going to try his best to make the team, eventually hopin to start, but its still the coachin staff/selectors, or whateva the fuck the cunts are called over there that make the calls on who plays and whether or not someone's any good so if you wanna hate on anyone cause his playin hate on them, from your logo doesn't even look like he plays for your team so I don't know why you'd even give a flyin fuck.. anyways, sorry for the spellin shit.. had a few rums..
Loved this when the regular season started I remember getting up at 4-5am in the morning just so I could watch him but they didn’t give him enough ball time which really sucked
aussiemika1 if I can remember clearly he only fumbled once on his opening game at the top level other than that he should of been given more of a chance in my opinion really had some skill and showed it the whole pre season what he was capable of
Fumbled at least 3 times, and twice gave up blocks that got QB hit. I’m a fan of Hayne and wanted him to be successful but like I said nfl is ruthless. 49ers were worse team in the league at that time so maybe should of let him have more time. He left himself to play rugby for Fiji but he knew the writing was on the wall
I bet he was looking for offloads every time he had the ball lol

My absolute favorite player that never really made it as a 9er. With better coaching he could've had himself a roster spot for a few seasons, even if only on special teams
except hes in jail

The silly guy gave this chance away
17:30 the other RBs on 49ers sideline weren’t too happy though.. if they gave this dude more of an opportunity he could’ve done something special
Ben M he has his opportunity he was trash in real games . Fumbled punts in good
Yeah he wasnt good lmao
Hayne will do SO WELL in Shanahan's offense! Coaches run blocking scheme helps running backs achieve more yards. We need him back
He’s in jail these days for sexual assault.
he did really good. seeing him run so tall is a little scary though
2:32 he breaking ankles 😂
Jonah Lomu would have killed this game.
Dee absolutely Bro😂.
RIP the 🐐
@Wait What? look him up
2018 anyone
PS: imagine latrel Mitchell or Greg Inglis in the NFL they would be so dominate
King Tingz There are many. Josh Dugan, Mary Taupau, Dylan Napa, Burgess, Holmes and even Cam Smith would be an incredible QB. The most is endless.
USA Rugby League Fan but I just think that thy would be most dominate as they are both strong fast fit and smart as they have both played full back centre and hallback
Cam smith is a stretch. Guys like the two named and jason taumalolo and maybe James Roberts
•Nez• tru cause they james Roberts has got really good speed and okay strength and Jason tamololu has so much strength and alright speed
GI would absolutely kill it
a Hayne fan from Sydney but a Greenbay fan since Favre. Im excited for the 5th of October.
I still watch these videos a year later and know this guy will be amazing behind our improved O line
+Sean White Hopefully he'll be able to see the O-line first. Never know...he might get cut.
Lol he retired
Travis Kirk Yeah that came as a bit of a shock. He's representing Fiji Rugby 7s in the olympics. But what's he gonna do when the Olympics finish? That'll be the big question.
+BounceTo TheBeat I'm sure another rugby club will pick him up
+BounceTo TheBeat he is going to rugby in europe or Japan , MAYBE back to NRL but depends on which club still has salary cap room left . This whole olympics thing is just a PR excuse so the 49ers dont look bad and Hayne is spared the indignity of being cut , knew he wouldn't make the 53 this season with the draft picks and RB's they resigned from last year.
He just signed a 14 year contract with long bay
LOL
3 years guaranteed. Hes in the 53.
G,day mate I'm Aussie and the food shrimp is not shrimp in Australia we call em prawns 🍤
Sad to see him stop playing because he didn’t want to learn a new playbook after management changes.
Love watching this again. 38 could have been anything.
I’m from Australia and LOVE rugby and it’s so funny when the commentators say “Shrimp on the barbie”
All my fellow Aussies will agree with me when I say that it's called a palm not a stiff arm
Called a "don't argue "
Different countries call things differently ! :)
/1
in rugby its called a fend or a palm off, its interesting that they call a 'step' a 'cut' in NFL.
Hamish Grant yep stiff arm is just gay
How he doesn't make the team I'll never know. He was better then any other running back or special teams player.
Still love his effort and he took it all in stride 🙋♂️
better than any other running back??????? do you even watch the NFL my nigga???

Hayne plane was, is and always will be grounded.
He is a all about himself.
You have to keep in mind he did well in the preseason but he was also playing against others who mostly were trying to make the team as well.
Once the regular season started he then played against the elites which is a different ball game. Wish he had a bit more time and practice he would have been great.
But you also he no experience in the game itself. So his upside would've been crazy.
20 years in jail for rape, not good
If he went to another team he would've had a better shot. The 49ers were a joke at this point from top to bottom
Ya Father he only got a sniff because they were a joke . He isn’t good enough at nfl certainly a great athlete and league player .but it’s near impossible for anyone of a hundred university first teamers to make the grade let alone a newbie .
If they drop him that will be a HUGE mistake
+mets12100 Well they already did...and then they put him on the practice squad.
+BounceTo TheBeat they dropped him, got him back, put him on the practice squad, and was on the roster on the last 2 games. I'm talking about next season
mets12100 Yeah but the 2016 roster will be harder for him to get onto, I think. The only things that he has on his side is the "flexibility" he has on the positions that he plays: Running Back and Punt Returner (he's not just restricted to one position) and he already knows some of the 49ers playbook.
Why? there are dozens of guys better that won't fumble from contact. not that pussy RFL contact either. welcome to the big time punk.
In the right system Haynes could have been an explosive RB, FB. It's too bad things didn't pan out for him in the NFL. He could have made history.
let’s be real, he did this against 2nd and 3rd stringers. this guy was fun to watch sure, but he was so soft while running the ball and had no vision
Loved this when the regular season started I remember getting up at 4-5am in the morning just so I could watch him but they didn’t give him enough ball time which really sucked
Fumbled too much. NFL is cutthroat, you make a couple mistakes and your gone
aussiemika1 if I can remember clearly he only fumbled once on his opening game at the top level other than that he should of been given more of a chance in my opinion really had some skill and showed it the whole pre season what he was capable of
Fumbled at least 3 times, and twice gave up blocks that got QB hit. I’m a fan of Hayne and wanted him to be successful but like I said nfl is ruthless. 49ers were worse team in the league at that time so maybe should of let him have more time. He left himself to play rugby for Fiji but he knew the writing was on the wall
..a guy that could’ve been a legend
