    Thank you for doing this comparison! I'm upgrading from a a Lincoln MKZ & I test drove both of these. Ultimately, I decided on the Corsair Reserve in Infinite Black because it does everything that my MKZ does & I've never had any issues with my previous two Lincoln's. Great American made car. Appreciate the video 👍🏾

    Love the cx5 but Mazda is kinda milking it at this point this model has been out since late 2016 it’s now 2022, they should have at least made the keyless entry without that button on the handle and also a new interior.

    • @MDQDZINE
      @MDQDZINE 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the button for the entry. Had a Lexus with touch assistive door handles andit was a pain when washing with a key near. Doors kept locking and unlocking with the water.

    • @tommy13965
      @tommy13965 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MDQDZINE I usually keep my key in the house while I’m washing to avoid that issue, only time that happens to me is when I’m at a self wash with the high pressure hose.

      @MDQDZINE 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tommy13965 I usually had the key in my pocket because I had just moved the car to wash it. But yeah I had to make sure it was far enough away. But regardless it IS keyless entry in every way just like my Lexus or any other car

    • @MDQDZINE
      @MDQDZINE 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      And on the Mazda you can have gloves on and still open the locked door

    • @tommy13965
      @tommy13965 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MDQDZINE it really doesn’t bother me as much all of my other cars have touch sensor on the handles. The button just seemed backwards for 2022 models.

    I wish manufacturers would either stop fully with felt lined wheel wells or find another way to mount the felt where it would not get wet. After driving in rain or snow and putting the car in the garage the wheel well felt drips for hours...it holds a lot of liquid and wells without the felt drip dry very quickly with expelling much less liquid.

    It's funny that you're comparing the CX-5 & Corsair bc I am cross-shopping the CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve & Signature trims with the Corsair Base with cooled seats & other features that make it very similar to a Reserve trim, along with the Reserve trim

    why wasn't the 2022 signature turbo used in this video

  • @NileshR12

    13:25 The 2.0L turbo in the Corsair actually has 280 lb-ft of torque on 93 grade gas. So does that mean you only lose 5 lb-ft of torque on 87 grade gas?

    31:42 There is no Black Label trim for the Corsair. The top trim would be the Grand Touring or for the non-hybrid version the Reserve trim is the highest trim for the gas-only version of the Corsair

    Well ... I can't choose anymore ... my ordered black CX-5 2.5L AWD Revolution Top (with black leather😋) was produced 30.03. ... estimated delivery date 28.05. I'm already looking forward to it and at the same time I can't wait.
    For the 2021 model, you have already presented what accessories are available... For the 2022 some things are probably the same, others are not ... e.g. the luggage compartment rubber mat is new ... maybe this is an idea for one short video on accessories?
    I also see that Mazda does not have gas shock absorbers for lifting the bonnet🧐 ... some non-original solutions are available on the Internet ... it would be interesting to know more 😃👍 Greetings from Slovenia🇸🇮

    The Lincoln looks more comfortable but I don’t know why I feel it won’t be as reliable as the Mazda, you can’t beat the comfort of American cars but if I had to buy any of these two vehicles I would go for the cx5 , however if it was a lease the Lincoln would be a strong contender

    The Lincoln is way more luxurious (I've been in both). Unfortunately Lincoln is one notch above Landover for low reliability. Mazda is up near the top.

    • @NileshR12

      That’s actually not true. In a recent post I saw on Instagram by The Drive, Lincoln is one of the least expensive luxury brands to maintain over a decade. Mazda is of the least expensive mainstream brands to maintain over a decade

    Mazda looks cheap inside (too much plastic)....And the Mazda doesn't have touch screen (screen is tiny too) or keyless entry on handles..in 2022???? And how is the Mazda a sportier car with no turbo and only 180 hp, while Lincoln is 250hp. No NAV, emergency braking or lane keep assist in Mazda???? No brainer - Lincoln hands down. Better warranty in Lincoln too. 3yr/36k mile warranty in Mazda - not too confident in their quality, huh?

      The Grand Touring Reserve & Signature trims have 256 HP & 320 lb-ft of torque on 93 grade gas, & 227 HP & 310 lb-ft of torque on 87 grade gas. The trim shown here is below those trims. Plus the CX-5 has a 10.25" center display & it has Apple CarPlay & Android Auto support so built-in navigation isn't necessary since you already have that on your phone. I'm pretty sure Mazda also offers Lane Keep Assist & Automatic Emergency Braking

    • @NileshR12
      @NileshR12 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 2020-2022 Corsair have the smaller 8” screen, where as the 2020 model CX-5 has an 8” screen on the Grand Touring Reserve & Signature trims, which then got bumped to a 10.25” display across all trims for 2021. The standard screen below the Grand Touring Reserve trim was a 7” display on the CX-5

    • @RockStarArtists
      @RockStarArtists ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understand that. But you are showing standard model Lincoln without all the other packages and perks which makes a world of a difference in the Corsair especially with the panoramic roof. I have a 2.3 reserve that nears 60 grand. Still a bad comparison comparing a luxury SUV to a sporty model Mazda. Plus the Lincoln will blow the doors off that Mazda on the Highway. A Corsair and a Caddy XT 5 or 4 would be the right comparison. You did a good job overall. These two vehicles are in a different class and both offer different objectives to consumers.

    2:30 Why would you say that "Corsair" means "course"? Obviously that is not correct. "Corsair" is an archaic term referring to pirates or a pirate ship, "privateers" operating in the Mediterranean in the 16th to 18th centuries. You didn't do your homework. Bonehead move. This video can't be taken seriously.
