If you liked the used bookstore at the Winter Park library, you NEED to go check out the one on the bottom floor of the library in Casselberry, FL 215 N Oxford Rd, Casselberry, FL 32707, All books only $1
omggg, it's so cool to see all these local bookstores getting some love!! i've been in Orlando my whole life and i didn't even know about a good chunk of these places! have you been to Blackbird Comics & Coffeehouse, by any chance? it's my FAVORITE bookstore in Central Florida--they're in Maitland, they're a DELICIOUS cafe, and they have such a lovely little collection of books from all genres in addition to their massive comics collection. highly highly recommend!!!
I live in Orlando, and if you haven't been yet, I really recommend the Winter Garden Writer's Block location!! It's in a cute little downtown area with lots of other shops/food places. It's a bit smaller than the Winter Park location but still really cute and cozy.
I did the Lakeland Book Crawl and loved it! It was me myself and I but I got to learn about new gems in my area and met like-minded people. And of course - got new books!!!
I literally live in Orlando, I didn't know there was a book crawl!! That's awesome! The closest one to me is Writers Block Winter Garden but I will now make it a point to go to these other locations 💕
Currently reading a book series called Warriors. It's about wild cats that form clans, it's labeled as children's but it's more middle grade. I like middle grade fantasy. I enjoy series.
@@MelizzaBlackIt's not too scary. It can be descriptive so like scar be prepared. It's very immersive and sadly because it's marked as for children skipped over.
I've always lived in Florida. Some of these I didn't know about, so I thank you for this. I needed a list of bookstores to sell my book at when it's done.
I’m so glad I found your channel on my home page! Girl, YOU are sunshine! I’ve never even been to Orlando but now all these spots are on my must-see list. What a fun idea with the passports! I have a friend from college who opened a coffee shop in Kississimmee!
OMG 6:05 IS LITERALLY MY BOOK STORE ITS AT GROVELAND AND IVE NEVER SEEN YOUR TH-cam BEFORE BUT MY EYES POPPED OUT MY HEAD WHEN I SAW MY SMALL TOWN BOOKSTORE
I'm glad I saw this tonight. I'm totally doing the book crawl this weekend. And if you like used books, there's Brightlight Books in Fern Park. It was recently expanded and everything is well organized.
I have literally spent HOURS in Brightlight books - there is SO much to look at there, and the staff is awesome! I've donated plenty of my stash to them, and they accept a wide variety of books. Anything they can't take as donations, they'll find a way to pass on to another org. LOVE THEM!!
@@wilkinsonrg Same. I got into Star Wars in a big way last May, and getting the books (and comics, etc.) secondhand is much easier to do on a tight budget. Trading stuff in for store credit certainly helps.
Ohhh hello fellow Orlando locale and not tourist lol. Thanks for showing these. I went to Authentic Books recently and got one of these stamp books. I need to check out more of the stores on there.
omg thank you for this! I’ve been meaning to visit White Rose Books because they’re putting on cute events but I didn’t know this bookstore crawl was a thing! 🥹
I watched your Colorado bookstore crawl but had no clue you were an Orlando local! I’m a Florida girly too and a fellow lover of all things Disney, books, and travel, so I am definitely following you! Can’t wait to see what you do next 😘
I love the local section! Have you read Florida Woman by Deb Rogers? It’s set in the Ocala national forrest and it’s very interesting. A bit of a mystery, thriller. I loved this video and your tour of Orlando! Next on your list, check out Spellbound bookstore in Sanford! There are lots of fun events this month and next ❤
Why am I not surprised? A thriller in Ocala National Forest lol growing up in Ocala, I got fed horror stories from parents and teachers about the forest.
The first 3 minutes or so- THIS is the reason I'm glad I'm not in school anymore! Half the books I'd probably try and read or look forward to would be banned R.I.P It's so dumb to me a lot of them are banned Like, kids watch worse stuff on TV and youtube now a days I promise you if it's anything like when I grew up with every kid having a phone now too
7:21 okay I know I'm on mobile but I ain't even trying to read that text with my very poor eye sight 💀 I can't seeeee And the light color added to the tiny letters does not help
I found your channel through Shawnaci Schroeder. Yay! I discovered Natalia Sylvester, Jennifer Coburn, Kate Moseman, Janelle Brown, Kara Lee Corthron because of this video. What are the titles of the background music that you use? Ways To Make Sunshine is part of a series. I read Piecing Me Together by Renee Watson and I enjoyed it. The book is YA. I love reading middle grade/preteen books! 🤎 I am from the Philippines and if I were to visit a bookstore, I prefer looking at the middle grade/preteen section (especially fantasy) but contemporary middle grade and other genres would work as well. I am also cool at looking at the YA and adult fiction section (basically any section that has novels).

Their Frappuccino's are a work of art!
The downtown Orlando library also has a great used bookstore.

I've gone to Sunshine Books!! Whenever I've been, there's always been a cat just chilling somewhere in there. Great place.
I live in Central Florida and am super excited to follow you on this tour! I'm glad my kid sent me your video, I'm now following you!
Love your energy! 🥰😍🤩💗

Middle grade novels are so underrated! I've read some really great ones as I read them when I need a break from the heavier adult stuff.
I LOVED that series in elementary/middle school!! I used to be obsessed! Anything with animals as the main characters I would devour as a kid!
I've always lived in Florida. Some of these I didn't know about, so I thank you for this. I needed a list of bookstores to sell my book at when it's done.
