Nice Builds. U can also get 1 coalance from armor Aug for extra 12 raw + 2 element. I got 1 on 3 armor pieces of Death stench since it has higher chance to get
Whats better, attacl or agitator?, my build kinda the same, aside from my lvl 4 attack and lvl 3/4 agitator, since in master rank the monster is almost always enraged, what is better?

Magmadron for fire (Silver Rath could also work), Almudron for water, Lagombi for ice, Khezu for electric, and Calamitous for dragon. Those are my favorite elemental switch axes.
For the elemental builds other than fire is he using Quiros crafting to take the fire attack on the silverlos chest out and swapping? Or is he using a different chest?

I know that I should be using Narwa SA for my thunder build but I love my Khezu SA and it’s still pretty good so I’ll keep using it because it’s just great.

My build is mostly similar: I run Malzeno Helm, Sliverlos Chest, Malzeno Arms, Archfiend Waist, and Death Stench Legs because I've managed to get 2 Handicraft, 1 Chain Crit, 4 Attack Boost, 2 Evade Extender, and an extra lvl 4 slot from talisman and armor augments. I also run Lagombi instead of Daora and Khezu instead of Narwa for the sake of consistency. I also prefer Phial Switch Boost over Elembane/Racist Decos for comfort reasons.

can someone tell me how to get the elements other than fire to lvl 5, cos the silver rath chest only gives the boost to fire attack? am i supposed to use a different chest?

Ibushi Grinder (s) is a pretty strong raw build now that we have the grinder(s) decoration. Pretty nice if you're looking for a different play style or just want one build for your switch axe. Probably has the biggest single hit numbers on switch axe right now. I have a build for it over in my channel!

I just want to recommend my switch axe build. Its based off the other build video but slightly changed with the new armor and weapon augments

Malzeno braces - 2 lv 1 slots and spiribird caller

You talked about using an anti specific on teostra, but as he is an elder and as far as I know, those don't work on elders correct? Wouldn't the kushala gem be better?

Evade Extender even with just one level is such a game changer. I definitely recommend having one of this.

I have a great Swax talisman. Attack boost 2 rapid morph 1 with 1-1-1 slots.
First time i actually have the Talisman i need. I have the exact same one for expert. And both with a minor extra skill

Welp, time to change my builds a bit. I've been using a Almudron X/Archfiend/Malzeno/Anjanath X/Malzeno set, although I'll probably keep my Anjanath X since I managed to roll Evade Extender 1 onto it...
And just now I rolled Critical Boost onto my Death Stench Heel X...
A phenomenal build I've been discovering is Gold Rath head and waist, Lucent Narga Gloves and Boots and the Espinas chest. I was lucky enough to roll a level of Chain Crit on my lucent boots. Leaving my talisman free to do anything that I wanted, actually just going with a atk2 1-1-1.
It gives you a lot of good slots and some very nice skills that combo into a status build with some raw to add in

@@ianpazos2124 The chameleos weapons are good, particularly I'm using the dual blades the most for that.
Gold/Normal Rath longsword does good too imo. Running Kushala Soul helps raid their affinity a good amount too. Only reason I avoid lucent narga is because I don't enjoy the very low poison and inability to give it kush soul

for the narwa swaxe, would getting that rampage slot to 3 for elembane and having 1 elem boost be better if you can guarantee elembane coming into use?
I dont think elembane works with status if your using the poison one.

Elembane is not useful for SA because not every monster has multiple hit zones of 25 and in most cases they’ll be 20 which elemental exploit is better, so for the rampage skill you could use ESB or anti species
Can you add the calculation of total damage applied to monster part that is for example 65 for raw and 20 for element (awerage values u would normally try to atack).
Cos when i do elem builds i normally struggle to compare what is better 300 raw and 110 elem or 400 raw and 45 elem for example.

65 raw is most likely only for the head , while 20 elem could be for many more parts , so on average I always consider raw : elem contributing 2:1 in the damage calculation
I am still a big fan of Bloodlust (1), Coalescence (3) and Chain Crit (3) Combo of course I got a chain crit (2) Coalescence (1) with good slots charm so that may influence my decision-making... But the combo boosts element and status so nicely, I mean Bloodlust is mostly just to trigger Coalescence but you know what I mean
I hope they'll do a hammer build sometime cause I kinda need one

What about a Explosion Switch, like Seething Bazel?
The Silver Ratha Swax can hit 100% affinity on weak zones when you use the daora soul rampage and have WEX 3 (50% affinity on white #s). This would allow you to use the silver Ratha lost chest and max of crit element since you'll crit either 50% of the time or 100% of the time depending on where you are attacking. For fire swax in particular I personally like that.
I would say if you aren't using phial damage at all affinity is a good way to build and I am not sure if the meta combo applies phial damage or not. I just know that phials don't crit.
@@browdster7 ive done the math, like in the Video Explained Crit Element is extremely weak and for Element Exploit 1 Level is very good but 2-3 not worth it. Consider that when Amped, every 2nd Damage numer, the phial bursts can't crit. Not to mention the Aerial Playstyle were more than 50% of the Damage is Fixed and Ignores Hitzones. For Grounded Playstyle about 75% of your Damage is Crit able.
Silverlos Axe just needs too much Handicraft to reach Purple. If it had natural purple or only need 1 level to get purple like Narwa it can compete with the other ones. But 4 HC to get purple is too much investment. Keep in mind that Element Exploit Increases the Elemental DPS Gap. It powercreepes the SA's with Highest Element and thats the Magmudron Axe
@@FoxInvictus Situation might have changed a bit now since you get +50 raw and +20 sharpness just from increasing your slots to 10. Then on top of that you can also add even more attack.
That said, I like Reconqueress the best (exhaust SA). Shame it doesn't come up here. If you hit enemies a lot then they're tired throughout most of the fights resulting in easy extra hits for most monsters and potential extra downs. Also an easy KO per monster (and I suppose you can easily get multiple if you aren't fixated on breaking every part and just mostly hit the head). There's more powerful SA's, but it's definitely the best for a comfort build and is still extremely powerful since exhaust aside, the damage almost right up there with the most damaging SA's and you can use it for every single monster.
If you have it upgraded a bit no need for any handicraft. Just a lvl 4 protective polish and lvl 4 max grinder jewel will be enough to maintain purple. Biggest downside of SA is just how quickly sharpness drains sadly. Even with +50 in sharpness from 5 handicraft you're still going to go down to white in less than a minute when you get some nice hits in. ZSD drains tons, elemental discharge drains tons, morph attacks also hit a lot so they drain tons. Honestly I think it's a bit much. It was fine in World (just not in early game), but in Rise you'll drain half the sharpness bar before an enemy leaves without protective polish.

i just hit mr70 als tried valstrax 6 times or so and ragequit :D i am not bad but i couldn't time his attacks with counter and so on his timings are weird

I like running bloodlust and bloodrite build. Is it super fast kill times... No but it's budget, works, and is fun. ...And then I fought chamelios. Don't get hit with poison while running bloodlust it just might be worth it to grap poison res depending on the monster. When you got poisoned with bloodlust, between initial hit damage, bloodlust, and poison, it's lethal. Very first time I failed a quest was MR chamelios. Took him down 2cd try fairly easily as I gather antidobras and ran that cleanse fountain on my palico. Played around those and did relatively fine. (Swaxe, charge blade, and LS player)
11:16 so, since we are more for Element phial swaxes, why not go with the Lagombi one?

A real decent switch axe is The Valor Switch axe for raw but also a real high paralyze in amped state. Get that with some gold Rath bits. Mmm 10/10
For ice why wouldn’t you just go lagombi? It has elemental phials, decent slots, can go to purple sharpness ect

imo kushala is better, u got purple sharpness without handicraft and for that u got the option to change the jewel for another one

I'd love an actual IG build. Not the 'spam a single move' gimmick build we got. Granted, I don't think i've ever done a cookie-cutter build in any game I've ever played, but it's nice to see how my set-up compares. Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to the new immortal build, see if there are any new inspirations to be had. I may not be killing in speedrunning times, but none of these monsters threaten to 1-shot me, either.

I am curious why no one using kusala blessing for (10% ice & water buff), teostar blessing for (10% fire buff) and Narwa &Ibushi stormsoul for (10% thunder & Dragon buff) in their build? why priority atk lvl 7 over that for elemental build? is it bad or not worth it?
Because i think switch axe still got higher dmg modifier on raw stat, the skill you mentioned more fit for elemental cb where the phial dmg get high modifier on elemental stat.

Great skills on charge blades at least. The thunder / Dragon up feel less useful as it's harder to get all the skills you need. Daora and Teostra soul are good though, typically only need one armor piece to get instead of four.

I cant get a narwa mantle to drop for the life of me. Such a painful grind.
I really like silver rath switch axe for the high element and 35% crit. My only issue is working around the sharpness. Idk if I'm better off going for purple or staying at white sharpness and just add more damage. Gonna test it out but qurious crafting might help me out with it.
It's best to consider how most of your damage is delivered. For switch axes, from what I understand, your phial bursts DO NOT CRIT. So your high critical hit chance is only applying on hits that are not phial bursts. So, I believe this means only hits when you're NOT amped, or only about half of your hits when you ARE amped, I'm not sure. But, if you are playing switch axe most effectively, you're always amped. So your weapon choice/skill selection is better focused on other damage output skills, other than crit chance/affinity.
Think of it this way: would you rather have a higher CHANCE to deal bigger damage *sometimes*, or a guaranteed smaller boost to your damage ALWAYS.
Also, purple sharpness increases raw and element independently, and it's a nice boost in damage. But with the silver rath Switch axe, you need a lot of Handicraft to achieve purple sharpness. So either you're spending a ton of skills/jewel-slots on Handicraft when they could be going to other skills that boost damage output, or you're running white sharpness.
So if a lot of your hits aren't capable of dealing critical hits, and your sharpness gauge isn't boosting damage as much as it could be, is the weapon still a good weapon? That's up to you I guess :) If you like the way it looks, and you're having fun with it, then it might be the weapon for you!
@@v0x870 true. I just like the way it looks honestly prob should go with DBs or SnS for silver Rath. I just really like the design of them and kinda wanna build around them even if magma almudron beats them out in every way.

Is one lvl of element exploit enough?
A full 10% boost if I recall for a single and the other 2 levels only add 5% and the armour for it is meh for skills. So you get best quality boost and build options with only 1
For the ice weapon, there's also the lagombi switch axe with element phial. I've tried it myself and it's pretty good.
This is my preferred choice for an ice switch axe to be honest.

@@veilousdrift8010 yeah, got it back in base Rise, rarity 7. Hundreds of hours later, and it's still my best talisman. I do have a divine blessing/evade extender one I like using.

for new SA player, just add Evade Extender+3 and Constitution+3 to your SA build, and you will start to get the illusion that you are really good at that this game 😂😂😂 and the Evade Extender +3 will get you with 1~2 rolls to whatever the bloody jumpy mental jumps to. And evade their crazy attack quite easily.
for advance player, of course you want to switch to attack oriented skills.

I recommend don't sleep on exhaust switch axe. It can be a good generalist option and can help overcome the affliction on monsters a little faster. So if you see yourself just jumping into random afflicted hunts without knowing the target, grab an exhaust axe and go to town.
Exhaust is always my go to. The double status of stunning and tiring the monster of just too good. I also seem to get a lot of flinches early on.

Why would one ever even think about yeeting that talisman. That's 4 lvl 2 slots that you're freeing up (or 2 lvls and 1 lvl 4) with just that talisman, dude. Absolutely amazing thing.
@@doomdoot6731 well it was mostly because i already had an attack boost 2 with 3 slot and at the time I wasn't using any weapons that benefitted from power prolonger so I figured I wouldn't need it. But I'm glad I held onto it for sure

On PC you can use mods to give yourself charms to remove the RNG grind. The charms are 100% capable of being rolled in the melding pot, but they're very hard to get. Speedrunners on PC will mod them in to remove the grind. That's what he means by "cheated" charms.
Most speedrunners, including Kage, will disclose this in the description of their video.
If you want to play by TA Wiki rules, you're not supposed to use these charms though. So the biggest speed running site in MH does not allow them, technically.
Yes, some speed runners choose to use cheats to modify their Talisman and now Augment their armour - this RNG based system is really unfortunate for that aspect of the MH community, and I completely understand why they would choose to do that

"this talisman is not a god talisman" I have seen NOTHING CLOSE to that. And I've been playing daily and doing like 10 hunts a day minimum. I don't know how that ISNT a god talisman.
Cause it's not. It's pretty good, and I don't have one either, but that is nowhere near what some people cheat in.
Just make one that you need. After pumping matches, why still rely on RNG to get you a build that you want. Or if not, then just do the MELD re-roll exploit until you get something that you like. Unless you wanna be the 1% of player who refuses to make ur own talisman.

The RNG for even an okay-ish talisman is insane. Having gotten tired of it, I used a mod to give myself materials to make a bunch of talismans - I wanted to keep some of the challenge/randomness of making talismans, without the literally several thousand hunts required to get the materials for these talismans; I made somewhere between 1500 and 2000 of them before I got tired of it, and didn't get even one that had both Attack Boost and slots. No 'god talismans', no Attack Boost 3, not even really any talismans with decent DPS skills unless I wanted zero slots. I did get a few decent comfort ones (which admittedly can be equally important), but zero good damage ones. Literally zero.
@@eivind261093 yeah, the rng for charms is nutty. My best one is a 3 wirebug whisperer 2 agitator 2 slot and 1 slot, and that took me forever to get. Just have to make due with what I got.
