Fall clothes are always so good - and I did go in to Talbots yesterday to check out what they had - they have 25% off everything at the moment, and today on line they had $50 off your purchase of $200 (which can be combined with the 25%). Nice styles, but I didn't find anything that appealed except one pinkish tweed collarless jacket - but it's expensive, and I think it would be limited in its wearability. Lots of burgundy. OMG - the mascara! There are days when that happens and the only thing to do is start all over again! Good job on cleaning it up! The look is really pretty. Tough month for you, but the celebration lunch is such a good idea - keeping it positive. Keeping you in my thoughts re the ultra sound.

The mascara fix was actually very handy - I’ve done that so many times and made it worse when removing it too soon, so thanks for the unintentional bonus tip! Your daughter is the same age as my older daughter, and we got to celebrate her birthday in person in June when we were in Florida. Hope she has a great birthday! I do hope all goes well with your ultrasound, and I will keep your family in my thoughts. It’s good to celebrate how far he’s come since his first diagnosis. Here’s to cooler weather but no snow or ice for a while yet!

Cathy, I love the fact that your videos are so real! I'm glad you were able to celebrate with your family, and I hope that you have good results from all your appointments. Just a thought about your dry eyes - I've had them for years, and used drops and gel when I lived in Toronto. When I came to France, I was sent to a specialist who recommended silicone plugs in my tearducts. It was a quick operation (I was awake but in an operating room), and my eyes have been better since. I don't feel them at all. I emailed my optometrist in Toronto, and she was really interested for her other patients. Just a thought... Keeping you and your family in my prayers!

You look lovely & natural. I rarely wear mascara because my eyes are so sensitive. Instead I semi-tightline the lash line. The mascara isn't too irritating, but the mascara remover is irritating.

I have same problem with mascara but a lash primer really minimizes messiness in mascara application and makes it wear better (no flaking or raccoon eyes). Lancôme and Dior both make good ones. 😊

I thought I was the only one who always wore mascara all over my face. For some reason I never just got it only on my lashes. But I did always wear waterproof mascara. Because my eyes water too much. I think I got that from my mom. I don’t wear makeup anymore, and I probably should. I have all of it. I just don’t feel like doing it everyday. Your makeup looked great. And I’m going to have to look into everything I have and try it sometime.
The last couple of days here in Kingston, ON have been chilly and I wore a jacket to go out this afternoon! This is August??

Cathy, I think you’re a very beautiful person and you do your make up beautifully love the color, blush thinking and praying for you and your husband all the time. My husband and I are in the ministry and I always look at people in our church that need extra prayer and you’re always in our minds and thoughts, stay brave love your thinking keep positive, but it doesn’t exhaust you being in trauma that long. God bless he will find a way.

Thanks for the tips Cathy ... you're beautiful ... one tip I learned if you get mascara on your eyelid is to dampen a Qtip and use it to wipe off the smear ... it works but when I say dampen I mean dampen ... not dripping ... hang in there ... I'm praying for you and your husband .

That mascara looks really good at the end. Too bad it’s such a hassle to apply.
I find as I get older that I don't want any powdered products on my face. By the end of the day it looks like spackle. So I use Ilya tinted serum and Merit blush for a more glowy look.
That’s funny, my husband always refers to makeup as spackle. “Lotta spackle “ he will say about someone with tons of makeup on.

OMyGosh! I laughed out loud at your mascara boo boo‼️ 😂. I know what you mean when it’s a longer or larger brush. It takes some getting used to. Also, I try to let my mascara dry a bit before I blink my eyes because it transfers on my lower lashes and under eye. I do like a wetter mascara and really like the Tart Tubing Mascara and mine doesn’t have the name but I think it’s called “Maneater “. It has been just as hot down here in Kentucky and the next four days supposedly in the mid 90’s‼️. 😩 I’m so glad your husband is doing good and I just despise hateful doctors. When I asked my OB/GYN about a large lump in my breast ( my mom and her mom both had breast cancer) she said and I quote, “ IF THAT WAS CANCER,YOU’D BE DEAD BY NOW”‼️ So, I got a surgeon to biopsy it, then went back to her for my records and told her, “ Well it is and I’m not”! There’s no reason for that. Anyone can be respectful of another ESPECIALLY if they’re your patient. Now don’t go switching blouses on me! lol I really do love the Rare Beauty blush “ Happy “. It’s so beautiful and goes on just right with the brush I use, It Cosmetics for Ulta #202 Flawless Powder Brush. Just to say, if you have dry eyes then please do not tightline your eyes with eyeliner. I have recently been diagnosed with dry eyes and had a flare up of inflammatory blepharitis in one eye, awful. I have worn eye make up for about 45 years and am leaving it alone meantime 😞.
