I live in Colombia part time, $2000-$3000 USD pre-tax per month assuming a rental where you can live normally without worrying. Keep in mind, many Colombians live with extended family and pool their incomes and share resources, and they probably don't factor it all in. As a foreigner, you can't do that, and it will be assumed you are paying more than your share on outings. Also, the girls don't pay on dates and dinners, so they're probably not adding in those costs when you asked about going out.
I've been to Medellin almost 30 times since 2021!! It's an amazing city. TimeOut magazine name Laureles, Medellin the #1 neighborhood in the world. I work remotely and hopefully will be able to spend a significant amount of time before I retire there in 5 years. My budget will be over $4,000 per month if necessary... That's average in the USA but I could live like a king there..and if you are a single man, the women are on another level😍7s & 8s EVERYWHERE...9s & 10s not hard to find
I've been binging and sharing these videos with my friend since the visit we're having this weekend will be his first. Something I've noticed, maybe it's her natural personality, but the redhead seemed mean, like she didn't want to be asked questions
This first lady knew she wanted to say a few thousand. no colombian need their partner to make $2500 to be comfortable, thats the 1%.. that math definitely put her to think about foreigners pockets and new standards/expectations. I hope she doesnt use this information in a bad way
@@CC-mp5jc She never said minimum, she said $1k for minimum and $2500 is good income. $30k in colombia is like $100k in the u.s in terms of lifestyle you can afford.

Definitely a good spot to retire. As long as you stay safe it’s pretty much paradise
@@CarterOnCam Exactly!! Shouldn't be a problem in El poblado. I always feel safe there 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I think it depends if you want to live like the avarage Colombian or the average American!

She’s very quiet so she was probably out of her comfort zone being asked questions on camera

That was probably wishful thinking on her part
Colombia isn't that poor hahah, $30k/year isn't no 1% income in Colombia, closer to top 5-10%.
@4evahodlingdoge226 true, still, imagine one asking for a minimum budget in the US that only the top 5-10% earners make.. its unrealistic

@4evahodlingdoge226 i would put an asterisk on that 100k lifestyle, (does not include nyc, miami or California).
Nice video bro love from DETROIT
Appreciate the love!
1000 per month lol. Way too high for local Colombians. No way bro. The taxi driver is spot on.
