This is great, thanks! Planning to move early 2025 and have been wanting to join some groups. Rentals have been on my list and Airbnb is really expensive. 1 bd for over $1k in Laureles 😳 not going for short term stay, but investing in furnishing an unfurnished place is a bit of a commitment. Great to hear you can find reasonable furnished rents!
@@DavidToback I’m happy you found u helpful! The prices can definitely be insane here but absolutely possible to find something affordable with time and patience 😌 cheers to your journey!
Very informative thank you. Do you speak Spanish? I visited Medellin back in 2018 and stayed with a family in Estadio, which was really good for getting tips where to go. I loved Park Arvi.
@@naturallynam Apologies for late reply. I was only travelling through and stayed half a week. The only guide was a group tour with a really good guy who was very informative and keen for visitors to respect the city and people. Introduced us to some Venezuelans who had to flee their country and set up ice cream biz in the city.
My astrotography chart lines cross prominently in Columbia - I’m starting to see me following spirit with coming to live in Costa Rica is just the beginning of my out the country journey leading me closer to Columbia as it aligns after my time here 👁️🙃⏳
Question. In order to actually rent a place, You need to be able to live there long enough to get a legitimate lease, meaning 6 months to a year. So what Visa are you on that allows you to stay that long? And 2.... When you rent an apartment, don't you need a cosigner? That is a Colombian citizen that also owns property? A feador? I don't know how you spell that LOL. So how do you get around that part?
@@Kristoferwitha_k the most popular visa is the digital nomad visa. You can also stay here up to 6 months by extending after your first 90 days. If you come in the later half of the year, you can border bounce to Panama and come right back after Jan 1st and you can stay here for a year. Fiador is not always needed. Airbnbs will often allow you to stay long term and will negotiate the price. There are some companies that will cosign if you give them 3x rent upfront. There’s different ways around it.
