I’ve never noticed oil splashing about in that little dome! I’m so transfixed on the bobbin I’ve never seen it. …I’ll be looking for it next time though!

omg how did i not know that threading the thread through a hole in the spool would make it easier to fill it ..game changer

Thanks for the video. Where did you get the plate that shows the seam allowances? Mine is blank so I have to either put tape down and draw a line or use a magnetic seam guide (which you have to measure to put in place). Thanks!

Hi, great video. Wondering if you’ve adjusted foot pressure at all on the Jack H2. I’m getting marks from the walking foot on my oilskin and vinyl
I did remove the large spring that people advise to remove in the H2 facebook group but my machine didn't like it andi had loads of issues when I did that put it back in and it's been fine. You could look at reducing the pressure see if it helps. Oz machines on youtube have some great videos on the H2.
Great video. Looking at this Jack to purchase after years off any experience . I hear you use Tex 70, I really do need to learn again. I'm old school weight system , 40, 60 ect . 40 bonded nylon heavy, 60 light . At my conversion of tex 70 , you would be using a under 20. Am I correct that is heavy ? For upholstery and cushions ect . What would you use for Jean's, jacket repairs ect .
Thank you so much ❤️ Tex 70 is approx a 40s and a tex 45 is approx a 60s. A tex 45 would work for your repairs but I would give it a trial with both and see which you feel best with. 😊
Good Video I'm a paraplegic new to all this would like to make a few items with heavey leather i was thinking of purchashing This Jack H2 just a couple of things what is the thickest thread you can use on this machine ?, i would like to make a weight lifting belt with expressing thick thread on the outside stitches . Since i cannot use my legs can i not run this machine with the two blue buttons by the light will this not run it at a slow pace thanks Richard
Hi Richard I think you can use up to a tex 90 possibly more with this machine it's very heavy duty.
You wouldn't be able to run the machine from the buttons as it's literally a stitch at a time so it would be painstaking slow. I would speak to a stockist of the machine and see if there is any adaptations they can make as they may be to offer better advise than myself.
This machine would definitely be able to handle making a weight lifting belt with the right needles and thread. ❤️
