I've had the ZS70 version for several years. It has similar specs with the same lens/zoom but at 20.3 megapixels.I love taking it to music festivals where they won't let you in with a bigger camera.

I have a TZ25 which I bought years ago when it first came out. I take it with me everywhere, placed in a pocket or attached to a belt via a case. I also have three Panasonic Lumix G cameras, but the TZ is my favourite. Easy to set up, easy to use, and with enough manual override. It is superb for street photography, and, in particular, travel. So convenient. Fair enough, not at its best in poor light, but I'm not submitting the results to a competition. I recently attended a talk on mobile phone photography. My TZ gives better results than the iPhone of the host, is faster to use, is more flexible and not so nickable. It is also the family hack, yet it has lasted all these years. It's just returning from Japan and China where my eldest and his family has a 2-week holiday. One of the best camera purchases i can think of. In fact, the best.

I have this camera. In my experience, it is a perfect pocket camera, especially when you don’t want to carry loads of kit with you. Other points to bear in mind, no microphone input and no hot shoe or flash sync. It does most things to a high level. Totally agree with this review, totally recommend this camera, especially if you can’t find one for under $80 or €75 or £70, wherever you are 👍

Great little cameras, I've had one since they were released as my prime camera 📷
It still does everything I need.
I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with another retro camera photographer.

how are you liking it? do you think its better than an iphone camera? I kind of want to buy one for an everyday point and shoot.

I found this cam lying in thift last year for 40 bucks, got it and playing with it since. Quite impressive to see it still does a decent job for a 9 years old compact, though compare to the price I cannot complain 🤣 The upside of lumix is that those cams are much cheaper than a used sony or canon compact, at least in my place.

Bought on of these for £5 in the UK in a charity shop, it was never used!.. And no charger lead...
It's an amazing little camera, I wanted to update the firmware but dosent seem to have one on the Panasonic site!, as anyone successfully updated the firmware? I'm on version 1.0

Thanks a lot for the review! An interesting choice to showcase. That's definitely is nice to have a dedicated digicam with you, but 200$ is a little pricy for 'nice to have'

Thanks for watching! Yeah, it really depends on how much you pay for it... I got mine broken for around 15 bucks and I managed to fix it so it was definitely worth it.

I just bought this camera several days ago. And I don't know if it will be too old for use in 2024 or not. Until I came across this video of you. It gave me confidence that I was not wrong in my purchase.
P.S. If you have free time, please help make a video teaching techniques for setting up and using this camera. Thank you for your great video.

I bought it from new because of the 12mp low res sensor. I tested the newer 16-18mp ones extensively, they were dreadful in comparison. It was slow to opperate though. I Upgraded from the old TZ7. The RAW images in low light are still unmatched by anything after, bar a 1 inch sensor camera. I upgraded 6 years ago to the TZ200 and still use it today
