No honestly feels like more power since the exhaust isn’t restricted plus the car is lighter. The mufflers weighed probably about 40lbs No droning noise either

Cae Jis I have an 06 just bought it in December and since then did an oil change fluids flushed typical maintenance ya know bought with 77k has the infamous smg transmission have around 86k now n since then I’ve only replaced all four tires which that was costly but the engine hasn’t given me issues and is still a very strong running v8 so it’s your preference on the car you get but your going to get issues with any used car and that’s just a fact.
You mean the vacuum tube that operates the butterfly valve. You just secure it under the car. Put a screw in the end of it. The alternative to the muffler delete is to go back to the vacuum line in the boot and have it open the valve constantly. There are options
Terrible, I’ve spent over $5000 in 2yrs on repairs and I’ve put 12,000km on it. Car had about 127km when I bought it so fairly low for the year. But as much as I hate paying for repairs I love driving it and can’t bring myself to sell it. Its such a fun car with lots of power
@Dylan Gutierrez no these are extremely un reliable and expensive to maintain. Especially being your first car it’s going to be in the shop a lot and very expensive on gas. It’s a super fun car tho and looks wicked but you pay for it lol
Valve stem seals are the most common and it’s $5k+ job and all of these cars will need to be done eventually it’s a defect from factory. Everything you can think of plus shit you never heard of will need to be replaced. I’ve spent around 8k so far on repairs done are. Oil cooler, valley pan gasket, oil pan gasket, transmission gasket, trans oil cooler line, alternator seal, new battery every 3yrs, heater exchange valve, that’s what I can think of rn without looking at all the receipts. Trust me buying a used BMW without a warranty be prepared to spend atleast 2k a year on repairs. Plus I get about 300km to a tank of 94 octane gas and it’s $100 to fill

It started dumping coolant and it was the coolant pipe to the motor,transmission pan gasket and fluid,coilpacks&sparkplugs,new battery, water pump,ccv valve and a few other little things, the valve stem seals are gonna need to be done but ever since I started using liqui Moly oil and motor oil saver the smoking is almost non existent the car is super fun to drive and sounds great but you pay to play🤣

just do a search on ebay for tips, you can find plenty of good ones, that’s what i did for my s5

Sounds like too much restriction in that end pipe causing a lot of turbulence and weird noises. You need to let it breathe a little bit more

What did you do with the exhaust valve in the back?
Not sure what your talking about. I just cut off the muffler there was no exhaust valve. It might be internal to the muffler though?
