First stock, then a muffler delete, then straight pipe!

hey, really stupid question but i wanted to know if there might be something wrong if my car sounds exactly the same with just a muffler delete. It burbles a lot, its really loud and it also pops when it gets warm. I buoght it with just 90k kilometers on it from a first owner older man in germany. When i first bought it, it was stock, and i only deletet the right muffler, and i put a alpha custom valve system on it. The day i got it we pot it on the dyno and it put out the exact 367hp bmw declares, when i deleted the muffler, i got to 374hp even tho im supposed to loose power?? idk im a bit lost here

I did a custom straight pipe to my 2010 550i e60 my car is very loud. I lost power though so I'm going to get the magnaflow 3" touring series cat-back exhaust I need my power back

Areku06 there is absolutely no drone, I was surprised on how quiet it is with the valve closed. I’m in stock headers with the cats. Mid muffler and cats are gone, but I have a muffler in the back which is bypassed by the valve. It sounds a lot better and louder in person!!

Cosa Gaming honestly other than the water pump starting to make noise (New pump was $35) it has been my most reliable bmw I’ve ever owned. However, the mpg are pretty bad for city driving

Service your transmission change the oil and filter and solenoid then update the transmission firmware on the computer i hate how your gear ration sound
sounds like he is doing that on purpose.. looks like he is letting off gas every shift likes its a manual
Don’t forget about changing the basically dead battery. Plus when your working with a pair of scissors…. Eh.

I have a 545i sports as well. an all I done was cut the back mufflers out an put a straight pipe. sounds great

frank hunt i just read on google, just wanted to ask if it does or not but it doesn’t asking as u don’t remove some sensor i forgot it’s called honestly.
It can damage ur engine but not this car I have the same car 2010 550i m sport I did a straight pipe custom exhaust

i bought a manual trans 545i because of how slow the autos were shifting... my truck shifts faster than that damn thing...
mattvee100 haha yeah they can be slow shifting! You got lucky with that 6 speed! I wish mine was lol I know the 545i have the 6hp26 and the 550i has the 6hp28 transmission. I believe is similar to the 335D on the 550s .. but i still wish it was manual!:(
the later year 550i has a ZF 6 speed auto.. shifts very fast and rev matches downshifts.. ill have to make vids
It depends, my 540i has the 5hp24 and it shifts pretty slow but my 550i with the sport auto shifts so much quicker

Raymond Chen I put the dump pipe before the resonator for when I want it to go straight through I could just open it. But yeah I still have my header cats installed
