    Task 1 - Pick a target
    Choose category of people who might need your services
    TH-camrs, etsy shop owners, travel bloggers, etc
    Task 2 - Find 10 targets
    Not so big they have a team already, not so small they can’t afford you
    At least 5k subs, at most 30k
    They need to be generating cash flow (via products, website, courses, etc)
    Task 3 - Pick a problem
    Not enough time to do everything (good if you have no skills)
    They want to make more money
    Task 4 - Match a solution
    What can you do to offer a solution to the problem?
    Tie it to the context of the problem and their business goals
    Task 5 - Make a portfolio
    Make samples for the solutions you’re offering
    Example: pretend captions, pretend instagram graphics, etc
    Task 6 - Decide on no-brainer pricing
    You are not marrying this pricing. You can increase it with each client
    Start lower than you think so that it’s not a huge risk for the client
    Task 7 - Get in front of 1 target
    Contact one person on your list of ten
    Cold pitch, contact on social media, go into their store
    They probably will ignore you but that’s okay, you’ve taken the first step
    Final Task - make $1
    Contact the other people on that list of ten
    Keep contacting people until you have your first client

    Great video! I'm cold pitching now. What kind of follow-up schedule would you recommend for people who don't respond? I have started sending out one follow-up a week after my original pitch, but I'm not sure if future follow ups are a good idea if they don't respond to the follow up.

    • @MyNameIsDeya
      @MyNameIsDeya  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Jessica! I normally follow up within 5-7 days, yes. Have you watched my cold pitching series by chance? I'd say researching the client, writing a really good cold pitch that fits what they need + presenting yourself as the best solution is more important as if the offer is great, the pitchee normally will bookmark to reply.

    2:20 How do you do this though? I tried to go through my watch history and see what channels are in that sweet spot so I could sound genuine when I pitch them since you know...I actually watch their videos lol but most of them are way above that sweet spot
    So what do you suggest?

    • @MyNameIsDeya
      @MyNameIsDeya  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What about looking up some keywords (that your favorite channels use) on TH-cam and finding medium-sized creators that cover similar topics?

  • @davidbykox
    @davidbykox ปีที่แล้ว

    I saw that someone tell about quantity over quality and send pitches automatically via email. How do you feel about this and what is better?

    • @MyNameIsDeya
      @MyNameIsDeya  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you need a balance of the two but your priority should be quality -- especially because I really doubt any of those automated pitches (unless the product is SUPER good and a no brainer) work.
      Obviously the ideal is to send as many as possible without impacting the quality of your cold pitches. Personally, I'd rather send 10 great/personalized/thoughtful pitches than 100 mediocre/unpersonalized/automated ones.
      Just my 2 cents!
