  • In this video you will get to see what a 1987 Honda Civic looks like and the tight fit location and replacement of the original 36 year old starter motor with a new replacement part, by the original owner. I'll also take you out for a short drive and car wash to end off the video. Not too many of these cars around, not too many with one owner since brand new in 1987. Fun, informative, video for those people interested in looking a little bit into the past. These cars are still super fun.

Love to see a fellow owner of a 1st gen CRX. I own two myself, 1985 1.5L and a 1986 SI. Have a few videos of mine on my channel. Never realized that the Canadian cars got manual chokes while the US cars got automatic chokes. Car looks great and if you need any of the plastic panels HeelToe Auto makes reproductions in a carbon fiber and fiberglass composite.

Same here, love to see other people with the 1STGEN CRXs. I do need new plastic for the red CRX. I've patched up the original panels and invested nearly $800 in new paint for them. I'll be painting them in the spring and it is way too cold up here right now to do that now. I've got three of these CRXs, but the red one I've had since brand new when I bought it when I was 25 . Never had an issue with it at all.
