There are times that its on the seller too. The 2023 WRX are now 0% APR. If the dealer wants this gone, they should just put $5000-$6000 off MSRP then 0% apr. Problem is, some dealer still try to tack on additional stuff at the time off sale. When I was lookimg for one back in Feb, the lowest interest rate at that time was 4.9% interest for 72 months. They took $3K off, but giving me 6.9%. I walked away and told them I don't have time for BS. Then, another dealer called me up and offered me $5500 off MSRP with 4.9% interest. No gimicks. Just straight price paid and CA tax. MSRP $35,484 purchase price $30,000 and out the door was $33000. That is how you dealer should sell this WRX that don't sell.
I've got an identical car minus the exhaust and bought it for quite a bit less than that sticker. It's a great car. For previous WRX owners it's a lot different though. I had a 2002 that I drove for 22 years. The 2002 was smaller, lighter, the turbo had more character and the overall car just felt very natural. I notice the weight and size of the 2023 quite a bit compared to the 2002. And maybe it's also possible that the 2024 will have eyesight with a manual. Mine does not, but our other Subarus have it, and it's a nice feature compared to standard cruise control.
For the same price you can get the 2024 WRX, and the 2025 will be out in 6 months. I pay 35k for a 2023 three months ago with a 1.9% APR. Why would anyone pay MSRP for a 2 Year old new car
I’m shocked this car doesn’t sell as well. It is tuned so perfectly it is one of the funnest cars I’ve driven. I took it for a test drive for over 30 minutes because I couldn’t get enough of it. The difference from the VA is crazy. But unfortunately people think it looks ugly (which there are some questionable decisions). But this car is like the ugly person who asks you on a date but you give them a chance and fall in love
This car drives amazing. I bought it. Do not need mods unless you want to use them for racing. In Canada , it is a deal compare to the GR. The Richmond hill Subaru dealership was the only one that was adding security fees and other unnecessary prices
Honestly the new WRX is great, but its in a pickle where the trims that are correctly priced are missing a few too many features, and the ones that have everything are too expensive for what it is.
Many have reported the 2.4l VB generation dyno'd 300+HP at the crank, 290+ at the wheels at only 13psi boost, higher than advertised. Not bad at all, considering it's so de-tuned. Think about it... the STi 2.5l EJ/VA engine variants were at 18-20+psi boost and at what, 310 HP? The VB series has a thicker and more robust block (much higher and reliable tuning potential) at only 13psi, a simple stock protune and it'll be well over STi territory. Tuners are still playing with it, so more to come (e85 tuning!).
cause it's 2024 and it has the efficiency of a car in the late 1990's and the power of one with that same stat, while being louder than a modern car and with a weaker onboard chip than a card in the later 2010's while priced like a mid luxury sedan?
These types of vehicles appeal to a very small niche market, and that market is ever decreasing. There has been a GR Corolla at my local Toyota dealership for 3 months, still can't sell it. And there is no markup on it.
Because it's ugly. We had a following. That styling is responsible for alot of people staying with the VA chassis. And It cost too much money for the quality you get. Only thing it has going is it's driving performance. Horrible mpgs. Terrible interior quality. And a headstone for a head unit. Smh
These categorical statements are a turn-off. Your subjective observations are yours, and should not be expressed as fact. I had a 2016, now a 2023 Premium. This car is much better in handling, acceleration, drive ability. The interior, while simple, is a cut above the VA in terms of feel, materials, and is much quieter. Do you even have one?
Ill tell you exactly why they're not selling... In 2021 a Brand New STI was $36k and a Brand New WRX was $26k....Then in 2022... subaru canceled the next gen STI, then they bumped the new gen WRX price way up to $35k..... they're selling WRXs at STIs prices.... the wrx is not worth $36k. it's worth $26k...
@diallo1347 Evo X, Evo IX, STI, mazda speed 3 & older speed 6, focus rs, older BMW 2 Series, Gallant VR4, 3000gt VR4, GSX eclipse, Talon TSI, Saab, GR corllolas that are not marked up...Enjoy 😘

Congrats! Thanks for tuning in.

the bigger dealers are selling these wrx's that sit around for under 30k, just have to be patient and look around.
Bro I’ve seen a few go for as low as 26,000.00, nothing wrong with them, relatively low mileage

Yeah I test-drove a used 2022 and just loved it. The styling isn't as offensive in person.
its not tuned perfectly. but it has potential. its only making 11lbs of boost. i have it cranked to 22lbs peak now its much better

My friend had a GTI and she loved it then she bought WRX and she said it’s cheap quality so she sold it and got something else
wait....what??? I used to own GTI MK6 and when I test drove MK8..it felt cheap but when I test drove WRX...felt superior to new GTI

people like large vehicles to impress their friends.
Hard to tell in a video but it seems like you’re driving it hard while it’s still within the break-in period. (1st thousand miles)

Wish that was the case in Canada :/

Good point. Thanks for the feedback .

Maybe it's as simple as being the color. I would never buy a silver or white WRX
ahhhh yes, who doesn't like the shit styling of a 2010's art college with the everything else to match
