None of you short reviewers get it. I own one. The car is a monster in the mid range and top end. Driving through Globe Arizona on canyon roads through salt river canyon to Show Low Arizona, then to Greer. The car is amazing.
Traded my 2015 wrx for a premium wrx 2024, the car is amazing, the handling, steering, the way it shifts, the mid and top end are amazing compared to last generation!
Ehhhh the user manual clearly states use octane 91 or higher breh. Sure you could run regular…but you’re talking a difference of like 7 bucks per fill, just put the fuel in there that the car wants.
yeah man 4000 miles on a 2023WRX and the AWD has so much grip and short gearing which is perfect, Rev Match is not necessary, car never upset, just down shift, gears are close. in the high rpm revmatch ok but for daily driving, just down shift. Now with big V8 rear wheel drive and long gears, you should rev match because so much torque. This WRX is easy to drive even for a learner 6 speed. Yeah stiff chassis no doubt. Seats suck, l am 5 10 in 210 pounds, seat is to small
There are 11 at the Asheville, NC dealership. Taking advantage of getting a 23 in 24 😎 Owned the 22 traded for the 24 Crosstrek Wilderness, I just need the WRX 6speed back in my life.
I have the exact same 2023 WRX Premium. White and all. For the past 3 days, When I cold start it, it is making a metal rattling noise towards the back of the engine bay but, it goes away after it warms up. Typical boost is 13.5 but, aggressive driving delivers 16.1. It is on its 4th oil change, and I am considering an early 5th. It only has 20980 miles on it with the next oil change due at 23800. I take great care of the motor so, this is concerning. Is anyone else having this issue? I have an appointment with Subaru tomorrow but, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has experienced this before speaking with the service department.
No, the diagnostic software was down. It’s going to the dealership on Wednesday. The more I listen it sounds like an exhaust leak that seals up after warm up.
I need a short shifter, for some reason sometimes when in 3rd I think I'm in 4th and shift to 5th lol. I had a momo short shift in my Celica, which was the only other manual transmission I have, so idk if that's why I do that sometimes. Anyone else shift from 3rd to 5th in the wrx? Also, I was use to 7K rpms, the wrx feels like you have to shift right away!
Makes for a great daily driver, Subaru engineer event explained why that it's the first WRX built on SUV platform using the Forester and Crosstrek chassis, so very comfortable and quiet like a SUV, downside is handling isnt good since it uses the SUV's electric power steering and electronic brake vectoring with no LSD at all in front or rear. They need to bring back a good handling STI model that had the front LSD, center DCCD diff, and rear LSD.
@@Konformation07 you're exactly right and that explains why the new WRX has one of the worst handlings of any new car made, places last place on last weeks Car and Driver lightning lap, the engineer from Subaru said that is true it what you daid is the first WRX to compromise on handling performance to save costs on shared platform with plain Impreza and Forester, that they don't have the funding like Honda that can make a Civic Type R and it isn't sharing the Honda CRV chassis and drivetrain and suspension, or Porsche making a 911 and not have it be the same as their SUV Cayenne. But many new WRX won't know or admit the truth like you do that new WRX compromise.
The VA was not a looker either. Subies in either generation never looked that good. Just like most cheap cars in this price range are sub par in the looks department. I think it has its purpose and therefore looks like it should.

I'd love to take mine up Mt. Lemmon in Tucson!!!
I test rode a manual blue WRX with the factory STI exhaust. Unbelievable sound, incredible fun to ride car.
I love that this still has a strut when you open the hood.
White is the only way to go in my opinion. I usually think cladding looks gross, but the black against the white looks pretty sick.
Wrong. White is the worst choice. I have one in ignition red. Do you actually own a VB WRX? Didn’t think so.😊
White, black, and red all good choices IMO. Torn between white or black
@@ubroberts5541WRB has been that poster Subaru for me since forever so that’s the only option for me
@@ubroberts5541wrong red is the worst choice. I had one in silver, the car isn’t all that. Calm down acting like you own something special 😂
The Premium does not come standard with the sunroof…it’s part of the optional Harman Kardron/Sunroof package.
Hey - this car does NOT have a DCT - the automatic is a CVT! Ok?
True, "SPT"
I think
I'd prefer this over the 50k GR Corolla. At least I haven't heard about this WRX catching fire.

The auto 22+ WRX are CVT's lol. Not DCT's.
Whoops I misspoke 😞

BRUH! I thought I was trippin when he said 91 is optional...

Yo you funny for that “chassis dynamics” comment 😂😂
Subaru put Impreza RS body on this please
Man the center console looks too low annd the seats look too high. I hate that.
Haha bro you driving down my daily drive, traffic circle!
The WRX is the most ticketed car in the US. No shit, I didn't know that.
I got a 23MY Forester last year. I should have gotten the WRX instead.
Sunroof and 18 inch wheel. Roof will leak wheel will crack long term my area road from 1990
I'm getting the DCT :)
I live in Connecticut and they only have 2 in the whole state. The stock of these is super low.

I guarantee they will cross reference with another model and say it's fine.

It's not an SUV platform. It's the SGP. In fact the first car to use that platform was the previous gen Impreza.

No! It has a SPT. Subaru Posi Traction.
This or an Elantra N 2024?
If using Elantra N 24 which is a refreshed model, the more fair comparison would be to use the 2024 WRX TR.
Wrx. I don't like the look of the Elantra N, or the fact that the N is tuned to 9/10 and won't last that long
Panda WRX
Isn’t the 2025 about to come out?
No - the 2024 comes out in May. Google is your friend.
2024 TR spec on the way.
I’m sorry but no color fixes how bad this car looks. Can’t get over how they ruined this car
