Victor Wooten is the bassist, his brother, I believe his name is Roy "Futureman" Wooten is playing the drumitar and Bela is the banjo player. And, of course, Jeff on saxes. Got to see these guys play a few times when I was living in NY. They BLEW MY FREAKIN' MIND!!!!
Bela fleck is the banjo picker. Victor wooten is the bass player Futureman player the drumitar . He invented himself. Drums that look like a guitar. The sax player Jeff Collins All of these musicians have won many awards. They are great. Most banjo players jump time but bela is spot on perfect. Victor has won bassist players awards every year for I know 5 years. Probably more just can't remember them all. Futureman also is a good singer. His drumitar is awesome. The sax player Jeff, plays wah on his sax. It's awesome. Let me be the one has Jeff playing sax with wah on it. Give it a listen you'll like it.
@@PanhandlePrepping yes your right Coffin. My phone sometimes changes what I type. I didn't catch it. I play pedal steel guitar but nothing more than all other pickers. Just plain Jane.
One should start at the beginning. Lonesome Pine Specials. Especially their second appearance when they brought along Branford Marsalis. Instead of Jeff on sax you will experience the man with two brains, Howard Levy on keyboards and a harp in a cup. Bela left New York and came down to join the New Grass Revival in the early 80's. He was approached by PBS to perform at the first Lonesome Pine Specials. He then contacted Victor and then Futch and Howard. They birthed the HIPPO in 1988. I was lucky enough to have caught them at a small bar the night before. Just a banjo and bass. No amps or sound system. Pulled up Flight of the Cosmic Hippo from the second show. th-cam.com/video/VdrtloUym48/w-d-xo.html

Futureman is the guy in the pirate costume. He is playing a percussion instrument he created called a drumitar.
Ah, thanks for the info.
Actually, it’s called a synth axe drumitar 😉 Bela plays banjo and Victor Wooten on bass
The synth-axe drumitar

Not just "NICE BASS" the best bass in the world as a matter of fact....and Banjo as well
The bass player is probably the best bassist to ever exist! The one only Victor Lemonte wooten.
Karl Denson’s tiny universe- Fallin
The lyrics were lacking something, but the instrumentation was great, especially the bass.
Yeah the bass was amaze imo
Futureman was just kinda doing what the sax was playing on that song. Not really singing.
Man, they took this video off youtube. Is there anyway you can send me the file?!!
Hmm, I don't have the file, I reacted to it off TH-cam. Sorry
It’s a drumitar.
Thanks
