I like the volt v2 a lot (I’ve tried it before), but it does feel a little scratchy compared to my YuXin. Perhaps my turning is just so accustomed to the YuXin and maybe the Volt V2 wasn’t broken in enough (it was pretty much OOB). But I think my turning would prefer the YuXin.
I half-broke an edge last night i know this is a long time ago the volt v2 was released but yes, its possible to break edges. The cube was unusable until i got a piece off of my broken volt v2 to replace the half-broken edge
I got one with slice magnetized, one fully magnetized but the one in the video is fully magnetized. All versions come with magnetized slices, but I would probably also recommend getting the magnetized layer.
When holding your Volt on the white side, why is the small piece on the left side? I thought that the small piece would only be on the left side if you held the yellow/black face on top. Did you switch the green and blue sides?
I'm two months late but the magnetic slice option means there are only a few magnets in the middle layer of the puzzle inside the middle layer pieces that, when sliced, line up together, so with magnetic slice you have slice moves being more stable but with fully magnetic you have slice moves and U and D turns being more stable.
Is it easy to set up the puzzle if I don’t have a lot of setting up experience? Or should I just get the Pro Shop version? For reference I have 30k and DNM
You can go with either option, but in my opinion setting up this puzzle isn't too hard, I would say 30k on the slice and some 30k and some DNM on the layers would work great
I mean when you unscrew the screw just put the lube wherever on the slice surface of the two halves, just make sure to put it closer to the center so the lube doesn't get to the outside of the cube
The UD version's top and bottom layers are magnetic and align into place for each move. It's slice is also magnetized. The other version only has the slice magnetized. I prefer the UD version as it keeps the cube more stable :)
I know there is a high chance that this won’t happen but would you be will king to give me a shoutout? Even if you don’t I will still be happy where I’m at
Oh hey my Volt v1 broken edge was featured around the 0:16 mark on the top left of the screen !
Also nice review Sam ! I gotta do mine now 😂😅
Thanks :D
yEE Nice! Really loving this Squan too!
:D
short and straight to the point, good review :)
Thanks
Nice! I still have the v1 but really want the v2 thanks to you!

How do you do it that white is the top layer?
2:25 hop it is 'hopeful' instead of Helpful lol
AMAZING review. Are you going to try modding the Volt V2M & compare it to the YuXin?
Thanks! I have tried to mod the Volt V2, but it really isn't as effective as modding the Yuxin
Cube Master Oh ok
I half-broke an edge last night i know this is a long time ago the volt v2 was released but yes, its possible to break edges. The cube was unusable until i got a piece off of my broken volt v2 to replace the half-broken edge
When’s you next competition?
Don't have any coming up as of now, but hopefully soon!
Did you get it with the slice magnetized? Also do you think it’s better to get the slice magnetized?
I got one with slice magnetized, one fully magnetized but the one in the video is fully magnetized. All versions come with magnetized slices, but I would probably also recommend getting the magnetized layer.
Is yours magnetic?
Yep :)
What size magnets are in the UD layers?
I honestly don't know, sorry :( they seem to be relatively thin/small though
probably 3x1
When holding your Volt on the white side, why is the small piece on the left side? I thought that the small piece would only be on the left side if you held the yellow/black face on top. Did you switch the green and blue sides?
I swapped the white and black sides since I prefer white on top :)
why do they sell a fully magnetic cube with a magnetic slice as another option? I don't do square-1 so can someone explain.

Have you tried the extra spring that came with the box? Does it make any difference?
I currently use the extra spring but don't really remember how the old one felt lol, but from what I heard it makes it more stable
great review! I’m going to get the volt V2 soon
Thanks :)
So should I get it
I think MGC is better today.
Mgc sucks it is so slow, sluggish and locks up when i turn fast.
lmao my black squan picture got featured XD

Cube Master oh that doesn’t sound that bad! But where on the slice do you but the 30k? Is there a specific point thats the best?
I mean when you unscrew the screw just put the lube wherever on the slice surface of the two halves, just make sure to put it closer to the center so the lube doesn't get to the outside of the cube
OK i'll try that. Thanks for your help!
NOOOOOOO MY VOLT CORNER BROKE AAAAAA
bro will only slice magnetic x- man v2 will be good for me if I like yuxin non magnetic version
That can work, but keep in mind the U/D magnets are also pretty weak :)
@@CubeMasterYT thanks bro, what is your avg now
I got it a few weeks ago when trying to learn squan and it is really good.
Definitely is :)
@@CubeMasterYT what is the difference between the ud version and the regular?

@@CubeMasterYT ok thanks
i neeed it
You can get it in the link in the description :)
Bro thus is clearly the same volt you used in the volt v2 prank video. Stop lying there isn't any such thing as a volt v2
Bro it's actually not if you look closely one has stickers and the other is stickerless get your facts straight
@@CubeMasterYT bro its clear that you painted it
Damn how did you know
@@CubeMasterYT u told me remember
