Not the way I wanted this to get out, but here it is. One of the things I did for the now canned Lullaby v2 mod. It sucks the fate we were dealt, both here and Vs. Sonic.exe, but it is what it is and that's that. This will be up on Soundcloud before TH-cam, so, hey. Regardless, working on v2 was the greatest FNF experience I've had, and even though this didn't end how any of us wanted, I still commend all the amazing people I worked on this project with, I love all of you. I hope you enjoy what remains of the work we did.

By just the instrumental alone, this song is one of my favorites. And the vocals make it even better.

Steven has 2 chromatics. One that sounds more normal, and another with more growl in his voice.
Strangled Red is probably the pokemon creepypasta I enjoyed reading the most, but I wasn't a huge fan of this song at first. I don't know if it was because of the raspiness of Steven's voice or what but I just didn't care too much for it. Over time I have grown to like this song so much though. It sets the perfect mood for what's going on and I've really come to like Steven's voice way more. That and the fact that the visuals for the song are really nice. Definitely one of the best songs in the mod.

This song is a genuine masterpiece for FNF music. Its a genuinely sorrowful and scary representation on the Strangled Red story with a dramatic tone to match, Red’s voice sounds like he’s a genuine psychopath, no emotion, raspy, and rugged sounding. The other? A person who made a big mistake, his vocals sounding like one of a confused and distressed kid. And then the scenery! For not even being finished, you can already assume that Red is standing over his brother sleeping and the vibe there is terrifying. The second shot does this justice as it shows the mindsets of both characters, and the third part just supports the second by showing the events unfolding before your eyes, Red losing his sanity while his brother…well, you get the idea.

In fact Steven was holding Mike tight so it makes sense that it sounds off key because he's having a hard time breathing
Everything in this level was super unnerving, from Steven's hoarse wispery vocals to Mike's terrified wide smile (probably gasping for air), the different creative perspective shifts and seeing the actual murder happening through the victim's eyes. It's really cool.
Both this and the Monochrome (Perish Mix) songs were BANGERS!! It sucks with what happened, but it is what it is, we have to move on from that.
Leaving the bad stuff aside, these songs were FANTASTIC!! Incredible job as always, Crispy!!

This might just be my favourite song in the whole mod, and Stevens voice definitely plays a big part in that. The first time I heard the song I immediately noticed how cool his vocals sound, lol.
Small tidbit, but I absolutely love how Mike is represented in this song, both visually and audibly
From the face in the third part which could suggest contortion due to lack of oxygen or Steven's warped view of his brother post-incident to the fact that his voice becomes strained in the last part as Steven starts aggressively strangling him. It really fits with the story
Also that "goodbye" was amazing, this is such a good song.
I think it's Stevens warped perception of Mike making him look like he's smiling and laughing at his misery eventually driving him to his breaking point therefore strangling him to death

I'm sorry that your song is considered terrible, they are definitely wrong, I think this is the best song in the mod that can ever exist, it sounds in such an unusual gothic style, mixing it with the battle themes from the original Pokemon, the instrumental is generally sweet, this can be used on any levels or boss themes in Castlevania game, your song is definitely underrated in Hypno's Lullaby mod, you made a great song in the whole SimplyCrispy mod, and I hope your work will be well appreciated✊!

considering the skeletal info that remains about a v3, it seems likely that a lot of what they planned to do past this build was adding more content, apart from missing game overs and polish. We got pretty lucky that it was such a late build of v2 that dropped

This is my personal favorite, as both a poképasta and in this mod's tracks, I actually really enjoy the story behind it. It's one of the few creepy pasta's for pokemon that actually feels like a story, because it focuses on the characters themselves more than the player that found the game and played it, and it comes from a place of something that's understandable to many people. This song does a really good job of capturing the feeling of a struggle between emotions and actions as well, and the artwork was amazing to boot, much like the rest of this mod's artwork and animations

Because they're technically connected through their OG creepypastas. There's a small sequel to Strangled Red called Door's Open, and it shows that Steven is directly responsible for the events of Lost Silver.

I love the fast piano or that noise in the background. It makes it sound more panicked, being choked by the night of death itself. Sounds like a song full of "brother rivalry". The piano playing towards the end as well makes it sound lunatic. I love it.

My first time listening to the song, I brushed it off like usual thinking it wasn’t as up to par as the ones I do like, same thing with Death Toll and Isotope. The second time I listened to the songs, it started grabbing my attention more, and then it gradually became my top 3 songs in the whole game, with Dissension placing 1st. The vocals, the pacing, the rhythm, literally everything about the song gives me a kind of feeling of dread that I’ll never stop loving because instead of being a deathly scary song, it’s a tragic story of an unfortunate accident that resulted in something too scary to imagine. Hats off to the creator of this song.

I've always headcanon'd that Steven didn't want to hurt Mike at all, it's just that MissingNo corrupted Steven's grief at losing Miki into murderous rage. Steven probably didn't even fully realize what he was doing until after Mike was already dead.

at first when i listened to this song, i thought the melody and pacing of the song was rushed and sudden, but listening to it longer, ive grown fond of it, and i like how strangled reds vocals are so distorted and raw, and the pacing has gotten better every listen as well
