Not the way I wanted this to get out, but here it is. One of the things I did for the now canned Lullaby v2 mod. It sucks the fate we were dealt, both here and Vs. Sonic.exe, but it is what it is and that's that. This will be up on Soundcloud before TH-cam, so, hey. Regardless, working on v2 was the greatest FNF experience I've had, and even though this didn't end how any of us wanted, I still commend all the amazing people I worked on this project with, I love all of you. I hope you enjoy what remains of the work we did.

Monochrome got EVEN BETTER! It sucks that the mod was cancelled, but it was basically finished so at least we got that.
It's basically finished, it was only 10 days before the planned release date on Halloween so its not so bad.

I love how, whenever you enter the second half, the name of the song in the UI starts getting scrambled non-stop. Really sells the whole feeling of "You thought this was the same old Monochrome? Think again"
Alternatively, the phrase "This ain't your dad's Monochrome" which has been dancing in my head for the past few days

The second half fully gives the impression that Gold is clinging onto what little life he has left. His terrified expression doesn't fail to make you feel dread either! Super good v2 for Monochrome! ❤
I like to think that, by saying "No more", he wanted his suffering to end. But the Unown didn't like that their puppet was rebelling, and completely possessed him, forcing him to keep singing. You can tell by his expression too that he's still aware of what's going on, and in more pain than he was before.

After the first part of the song ended, i was very calm. But didn't expect a second half! Me and my friend did a extended version of the song back then when V1 was out. So seeing this on the mod was such a surprise! A really well done job!

as someone who makes music, even before i started making music i instantly noticed that it's different
it's about as modified as the rest of these songs to really lure you into a false sense of security thinking it's the same, and then splashes some cold water in your face when the second half hits
From 3:22 on is my favorite part... I LOVE how BF's voice melodizes with the rest of the song. And it just rocks.
It is insane that you somehow managed to make this song even better, I am actually blown away. The screamers were a real cool addition in the old version, but the 2nd part of this song integrates the screamers into it so well that it would just seem like something was missing if they weren't there.
"No More" hits hard after what happened, anyway this is one of my favorite fnf songs

Ok, the original monochrome was good, but THIS... This is pure gold (ironic, isn't), maybe the mod is cancelled, but that is not a obstacle for enjoy those precious songs!
Not gonna spoil again, but THAT part is such a banger dude as well! Though I haven't heard the rest of the song, I would definitely be in the premiere to hear the end of it. Either way, good job man! It is sad that the mod is now canned, but at least most of it is finished.
Edit: I beat it at 6:13 PM EST and I must say, it's still such a banger! As a matter of fact, that was my 4th time playing the song and I actually beat it at my 2nd on the v2. I am so glad that I beat it! Anyway, good luck to those who are gonna try to beat it.

Could've been worse on this one, since it was only 10 days before the planned release date. The meat of the mod is still there.
A part of me feels like the root of the problem is that those mods were getting too big in scope, so naturally things would become harder to manage. Like, of course all the teams had their own individual issues, but overambition is the bane of any creative project.

This remix will definitely be awesome and will cheer us up a lot after what happened to the mod.
I swear I was doing this song one time and one of the unown spelly thingies read out "BOOBSLOL". I haven't seen anyone talking about it, so I assume it's a rare thing. I don't know if it's random chance or if I did something to cause it, but I do know that I will never be able to see this song in a serious tone again.
It has a low chance of showing up, but it serves to show that while Gold might be nothing but an emotionless puppet for the Unown, he still has some traces of the 11 year old he used to be before all of this happened.
And then phase 2 happens where he finally voices his desire for his torment to end, only for the Unown to fully possess him, taking away his free will and forcing him to continue singing.

For anyone that already knows the correct lore/character names, ignore this comment.
I've been seeing a lot of people calling the character used in this song "Silver." That is inaccurate. Silver is the character Boyfriend raps against in the Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby song "Insomnia." The character used in the song "Monochrome V2" is named "Gold," which was the main character's name in Pokémon: Gold/Heart Gold and Pokémon: Silver/Soul Silver and is the one the character used in Monochrome V2 is based on. Silver was the red-haired boy and the criminalistic rival that Gold had to face in the aforementioned Pokémon games. The only reason Gold looks like he is wearing silver-colored clothes is because he is supposed to have a monochromatic color scheme (due to what happened to him in the story of Lost Silver) besides the gore, which is blood red/blood colored for horror effect.

I still have no idea why this amazing mod got sacked and canned it had so many things going for it
Basically Banbuds was caught saying the N-word (but the one with the soft R) a few years back, and even tho that problem was privately resolved, it resurfaced somehow, which caused a LOT of commotion in the team, with people pulling away from the project and taking their assets with them, and then someone published Banbuds’s unfinished build for the mod, and now Banbuds has officially retired from FNF due to all that drama, but not before releasing the entire OST for V2 and explaining to the public what had happened, and saying his farewell to the FNF community. He’s not ENTIRELY cancelled, but he’s no longer doing FNF mods anymore due to the events, tho he is moving on to other things and original projects.
