I run 36 rear 35 front too however I only get around 5000 miles per set, the sides of the front wear through & the rear eventually squares, lots of bends where i live in sunny Wales (UK)! Love the bike, love your channel.
Hi Rembo! I still have the originals tyres with 2.4 / 2.9... frequently I'm with a passenger, that why I keep the 2.9 in the rear. I use the Ducati sensor that give you the level of pressure in the bike screen... it's a good choice so you can see in real time and all the time, the level of pressure. Greetings!
I run 35F/40R. I always ride solo with panniers, weigh about 240 lbs, and ride a lot of high-speed highways and fast and tight back roads. The first set of Pirelli's lasted 7k - even wear down to the 1.6mm wear limit. Pretty consistent with other heavyweight ADV touring bikes I've owned such as GS/GSA's etc, and similar to what several friends with MTS V4S are getting. You're rarely sparing the horses in your videos and with Florida's flatter topography I'm genuinely surprised just how well your tires have lasted!
Bloody good miles out of those Scorpions . My rear is about shot at 5,500 miles and that is edge to edge . Front is worse than the rear , even wear all over and needs to be replaced . No Florida flat spot here . Priced up the M9RR last week .
2.4 / 2.9 here, same bike as yours. I mosty ride alone, but my weight is 97-99 kg, so probably a bit more than those skinny dudes down in Bologna had in mind when they made the recommendation. 👌 I know BMW recommends 2.5 / 2.9 on the 1200 / 1250 GS / GSA, regardless of load.
I guess the huge mileage you’re getting is a good reflection of use. I struggle to get 4000 out of a tyre, fronts are always cupped and rears worn side to side. But it’s never used for commuting, only ever fun at speed.
I was running mine at similar pressures to you, but when I took it in for a service my local dealer reckoned I was running it too high, and knocked it down to 29 on the rear. They know I often ride with a pillion, but nonetheless they were adamant. I’ll be honest, the bike handles so great that I haven’t noticed much difference, and maybe the hot tarmac here most of the year means it ratchets up in pressure quite quickly. I’m gonna be a tad jealous when you get your Pikes Peak. There’s a friendly term of endearment we use in the UK for folk who have something nice coming their way…….. “yer a jammy git!” 😃 Also, gotta say, your flooring looks great. I keep my bikes in the same garage as my chainsaws, work bench, mowers (and wine), the 701 is often put away caked in dust from the trails (cos it’s too hot to clean it til the next morning), and the mistral continually blows dust and leaves through any tiny gap in the doors……. Do you think it’d work in this environment?
Do I think it would work in that environment? Yes but it required frequent cleaning if you have heavy buildup regularly. Thank you for taking the time to post here.
What tire pressures do you run on your motorcycle and why?

Thank you!
Hi Rembo from Sunny Athens! just got my Multi dealer told 35 front, 36 to 38 back (psi). Thank you for all your great vids!
It will probably change with the pikes peak

I am very surprised myself.

I just put Road 6's on, after using Angel GT's. Love them, so far - using the manufacturer recommended settings, 33 psi front, 36 rear.
What bike is that?

The pressure in the front tire is 2.4 bar and in the rear I put 2.7 bar
