Surely, they know you're working professional, but on paper, the difference between a unemployed fresher and a 1year working professional in insurance field, per say, is the same. I have worked as a sales person in a company for 5months, and now working in Satya Microcapital for 1month now (about to leave because of its intense working hours 13+hours). Whenever I apply, they deny accepting these as valid experiences. Market have drastically changed now. It's really tough. Switching from one field to another is akin to getting a new job as a fresher having career gap
