The old scotch pie in the air fryer, classic!. All joking aside, this is one of the best channels out there, no ridiculous intros, egos, procrastination or nonsense. Really looking forward to seeing this progress!
I am probably not your usual demographic viewer, being a middle aged, disabled woman, but I love your videos. Thank you for sharing what you do, I thoroughly enjoy these films.
I worked in a Pipework Fab Shop, in Glasgow many years ago and an Independent Inspector came round to assess the workshop. He opened a Rod Oven and it was full of pies. He slammed the door shut and said........... "I didn't see that" I'm going to save this episode till morning. Coffee, no interruptions and RRC. Heaven !!!😀😀😀
Watching an artist at work is never boring, there is always something to be learned whether techniques, order of procedure, or just seeing that being organized is so important. Keep on doing what you're doing and we'll keep watching. Most of us would see this job and relegate the car to the wrecker, but seeing it broken down into individual procedures in an ordered fashion is very helpful!
You could start a support group with Geoffrey Croker and Restore It for all the rust repairs you've done over the years. Utterly overwhelming and a total labor of love. Hats off to you on this. It's already becoming one of your best restorations yet!
The lenghts you go through for all these cinematic shots...Setting up the cameras in a way that they don't overlap, taking the time to do a simple act, like throwing a rusty piece on the ground over and over just to catch it from multiple angles... And just the fact that you are restoring this piece of automotive history deserves nothing but respect! You, dear sir are an artist!
So much respect for the patience this takes. Over the last few years I've revived an old Honda CB360 and got it back on the road. I didn't do a full restoration but instead a 'restomod' cafe racer kind of deal. I nearly went nuts trying to get all of the dirt out of the fins of that air cooled engine, and I still didn't really fully restore it, just got it 'a lot cleaner'. Great job taking the time to do things as well as you can!
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. I know exactly how you feel trying to clean air cooled fins. You maybe could've sent it out for vapor blasting if the engine was apart?
@@RRCRestoration Yeah, having parts blasted, and then painted/powder coated would have been amazing, but I was working with an itty bitty budget just to get the bike back on the road and 'lookin cool; so I diy'd all the cleaning. Certainly spent a lot of time watching videos and researching forums for 'how hard and expensive is it to get your own media blasting setup' but ultimately never had the money/space for all the gear. Eventually though!
I hope you're a TH-cam millionaire already. If not, I'd feel guilty watching this level of craftsmanship for free. You really should show your face, have the world know who they can come to for this level of care.
Somebody sponsor this guy with tools! He needs an english wheel. Eastwood I'm looking at you! Making body pannels with a sandbag is painful... ask me how I know... amazing work as always, and the repairs and video are always honest about the effort it takes to restore whatever it is you are working on.
Thank you so much, yeah I don't believe in dragging out projects I'd rather make good progress and give you guys good value for the time you invest into watching my videos :)
Throughout the episode I just kept repeating "Jesus!" to myself. It is amazing to watch a rotten carcass of metal becoming a car again. Excellent work! 👏
I really admire you for taking on such a restoration !! That is no easy task, there is MUCH work on this one! I take my hat off (if I had one) for you !! 🎩 👍
Best episode so far. The number of camera angles in all the episodes is very impressive and must add so much time to a restoration, but I for one massively appreciate it, I would not have the patience 😂
Don't apologize, this is fascinating stuff. People who watch this stuff on car channels are probably sleeping on your channel because there are so many phony restoration channels out there. I love the turning the car on its side to work on, I rarely see that but if fluids are drained why not.
Your restoration is a true labor of love, evident in every meticulously restored inch of this car. The final product is a stunning testament to your passion and skill
Always knew the CR-X (the 'Mk 2' in particular) was going to become a classic one day, always thought of it as the Mini Cooper S of the late 20th C. Fantastic watch as always (and it's going to get even better, especially when you get to the oily bits).
Yeah I had that exact same feeling, I just didn't think they would become so scarce so quickly but working on this one i can see why they all disappeared lol. thanks for watching :)
Wow, this restoration is on another level! Most people wouldn't have the vision or dedication to take on a project like this, but you, sir, are an artist. The attention to detail and the care you're putting into this CRX are truly impressive. Can't wait to see the final result-it's going to be a beauty! Keep up the amazing work!
I've been waching 'my mechanics' do his datsun 240z restoration, and he calls the rollover jig a rotisserie, which makes me think of the car as a gigantic roast chicken. Now that you have one, I now view this CRX the same way which makes me very happy.
I think Its only available in Europe, although there may be people importing it into the states by now? It can be sprayed but bilt hamber recommends brushing for best results.

I’ve never clicked a video so fast! One day would be great to see a video with a background of how you ended up where you are and where how you learned everything!
Mr. RRC! Please don't ever feel like you have to put in extra effort, on top of the actual huge workload and necessary video production, just to 'entertain' us. Watching you work, picking up the nuggets of information, and getting easy-to-swallow explanations along the way is reward enough. We don't need to be entertained, we need to be impressed. And brother, we surely are by you 👉👉👉. Lovin' the thought that with this being quite a large task, it'll probs go on for a fair few episodes 😊. That's just all good news 👍👍👍. 😎

Amazing work my friend, a pleasure to watch you work. A Rick and Morty break is the best kind of break. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to watching more of this series.
I get anxiety just SEEING all the rust holes that need repaired let alone have the ability to tackle something like this. I do love the CRX though. It's literally amazing to see the finished underside compared to the beginning of the video.
...one cup of boiling water later... What an "odyssey" you are on, it give me chills only from the preview, but you are the perfect example that power of will and basic tools are enough to bring these machines back to life
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again this is the best channel and the most skilled human being Ive ever seen and you could make anything interesting my friend. Well done and as you say, see you on the next one!!
Most people don't realise how long it takes. For them they want a new video every day or week. But restoration work takes weeks and months. For me, I'm still excited when I see them pop up. Always fun watching your videos.
I'm sure there is more than one project going on at a time. Most youtubers film projects ahead of time and edit them and release them one a week to stay ahead while they film other big projects. Give the man some credit. He is an entertainer. We come here to be entertained and maybe Learn something. What gets me mad is KSP2 being dumped. That's something they got paid to do and failed. Restoration takes steady boring tedious work at times. But it's all worth it in the end.
Im here imagining if this was me working on this car I would end up getting frustrated on areas I have no clue how to fix. You made this look easy that shows how good you are with your craftsmanship

Brilliant job on the repair patches. Using a rust converter barrier is absolutely the best decision in this case. George is the best apprentice mate! Teach him how to weld as good as you.
I feel like I needed a professional dust mask just watching this video 😷 Incredible work as always and so satisfying to watch it being done correctly 👏🏼
For me, it could have been more than 1 hour of video and I would still have watched it until the end. I have a car to do some repairs and you have already encouraged me to do them correctly.
Been eagerly checking for Part 3. Now I see why it took a little longer! Well worth the wait! Never be sorry about the wait, we are all so happy for each new episode!
I absolutely am addicted to this channel. I get withdrawals after two weeks when I check every morning for an episode. Once I have my finances in order I will become a patreon. I love the in depth detail and really appreciate showing the steps from striping paint back to welding to fixing problems. I have a tourneo minibus which has the infamous rust problem and watching your channel has given me the confidence to try and tackle it myself. However it is silver so I will struggle to match the colour when painting. But really love the channel
Under seal stripping and welding and stuff - brilliant! Loved this eagerly awaited third episode, I wonder how many of us stayed to watch the real time stripping, I expect quite a few maybe. I was expecting an Easter egg after a few minutes, absolutely not disappointed that there wasn’t one, it’s impressive just how long you do have to graft, I bet your grinding arm was killing at the end! Did anyone else hear ‘next stage’ near the end and feel sad that the video was almost over? Can’t wait for episode four 🙌🙌
Just love it when an RRC vids shows up, it doesn’t matter to me what task your undertaking I’m always interested because of your attention to detail. You don’t strike me as a “ that’ll do” kind of guy 😂. Looking forward to the next one.
