Man, this is the fastest end grain cutting board project I’ve ever seen - @1:14. And using the big leftover scrap piece to make an anvil stand was brilliant.
I was thinking it's a shame Jimmy doesn't have a bandsaw big enough to run that block of wood through. Then I remembered he does, but Keith Rucker is still restoring it.
Every time I would think “Wait, shouldn’t he do this?” He would do the opposite and I would feel stupid. Great video! I feel like it’s a good insight to your creative process and genius.
Aghhhhh the wheel...still the greatest invention of all time. Wheels can take you around...wheels can cut you down...wheels can move the heavy weight with ease.👍✌🎯🇺🇸
At first I thought Jimmy was going to attach large ball bearings to the sides of the wood block to run on the cam rods. It would have made it easier for the mechanism to lift the super heavy anvil. However, he went with simple sliding shoes instead. Whatever works, works.
Mr Diresta it's a pleasure to watch your video and to learn every time something... thanks a lot to share, for me it's an opportunity. Micky form Italy.
Damn JIMMY, you are the aggregate of ... CREATIVITY, TESTOSTERONE AND PRAGMATISM. All stuffed into a meat sack we all know and love as... DIRESTA!!! Now don't keep us waitin...we all want to see DIRESTA the stuff your gonna create before you kick the bucket! You with YT have inspired creativity in every visual, common sense learning individual just needing to see how it's made. From one Dyslexic entrepreneur to another I salute you, and lead on BROTHER!!!
Hey Jimmy🇧🇷🇧🇷! That's what I call thinking outside the box! This one goes to the hall of your most brilliant videos! Conngratulations on your creativity.
This is a serious accomplishment Jimmy. Idk if the non blacksmiths will understand but I have never seen a wheeled mobile anvil stand that can convert to direct ground contact with the throw of a lever. P.S. You need a bigger hand saw.
Brilliant idea on making the lift/brake mechanism. That it’s some serious physics/mechanical advantage lifting 675 lbs with a flick of the lever/pull handle 🤔
Man, if I had all those tools… I’d still be sitting in the couch watching you make stuff. Great job sir.
This guy gets it!
Hahaha I was like “oh man, another guy who thinks it’s all about the tools” the boom misdirect… very nice!
Best comment I’ve seen in a while.
Ah this hottub feels so nice. So what's up with you guys?
Well done sir

Can’t wait to see that when it’s completed
Hah - I was going to say the same thing. Hopefully we'll see that one soon!
I was thinking the same thing!
This guy is a freaking genius!! Always making it look so simple yet so skillful. Thank you jimmy
Thank you 🙏🏼
Every time I would think “Wait, shouldn’t he do this?” He would do the opposite and I would feel stupid. Great video! I feel like it’s a good insight to your creative process and genius.
You never cease to amaze me. I like videos like this that I don’t know what you are making until it all comes together in the end.
That is such an ingenious solution. I am always amazed by what you come up with Jimmy.
I love the enthusiasm when the mechanism worked.
Good to see Jimmy working in the shop.
I’m gonna have to order something custom, AND American made, by the great Jimmy Diresta.
You got mad skills my friend!

Simple, elegant, and ingenious mechanism. I love it! Thanks for sharing!
I like to watch you that the clips do not contain music, only natural sound, I like that
Me too. If I found video with music I immediately close even though it is great content.
@@CachSoul Yes, correct ❤
The best designs are always the simplest ones. Great job Jimmy
Aghhhhh the wheel...still the greatest invention of all time. Wheels can take you around...wheels can cut you down...wheels can move the heavy weight with ease.👍✌🎯🇺🇸
Nice use of a Rush quote! Liked.
Something so simple but very few think of. Great Build again. Thanks Jimmy.

Nice anvil stand upgrade Jimmy Diresta, thanks for sharing.
Such a splendid amalgam of wood, steel & muscle switching gravity on & off as desired. Thanks for sharing!
The mechanical design is what does it for me! That's slick!!!
Beautiful.Inspired.Practical.
Although sometimes I fear it’s not speeded up and he does work that fast.

Love those casters
Now that is fantastic!
That's really cool! 👍
Good god, that’s beautiful
Just re-watched this video to try and get some ideas for making something similar to move my jointer around.
