@@Astrothunder_ actually, the path navigation for Ai changes depending on the state, sometimes they'll drive faster or slower than the speed limit and some will even cut you off and brake check, so wouldn't that be *good* ai design

Last resort now, could you please tell me what monitors are those ? I'm looking for triple 27 inch right now (wich to be 24 but not enough realistic in my research, but those look more like 32's is that right ? Thank you.

I had this since it came out and I could believe how much you can get into truck and trailer customizations and the list doesn't stop there it is an awesome game but if they would just add the little things it would even be better than what it all ready is that motion set looks cool
Yep, bought mine for FS2004 originally; it died a bit over a month ago finally so had to get a new unit. But they've made a lot of improvements I notice (to the camera). I can' t drive without it; tried VR but it made me sick so went back to TrackIR and got a refund on the VR unit. A shame as it would've been awesome.
@@johnbower7452 Did you follow online instructions and give it at least a week and take breaks frequently? (with the VR headset) very rarely do people get on with them straight off the bat
Im new to your channel so not sure your thoughts on TrackIR, but it's great to have in this title, especially at intersections- it also allows you to look down at your dash GPS, negating the need for the HUD - immersion killer for picky folk such as myself. I use triples too but it still helps make ETS/ATS just that more immersive.
This really motivated me to stop playing with mouse and keyboard. I really want a steering wheel now. Specifically the Logitech G920. Mostly because I also have a XBOX.
Can you tell us how you fixed the "Stretched picture FOV" issue running three screens? Does it work for other games as well or is it an exclusive fix for American truck simulator?
He is shifting at like 2100 RPM. Semi trucks have more torque at low RPM. I usually shift at Around 1400-1500 RPM depending if I'm on a hill but 1600 RPM max.
I have been wanting to get a wheel for a while now, and I thought it would be cool to get a car dashboard and the wheel for the car, put it over the thing for the wheel, and have myself a little car to play in.
I don't know how your right screen looks from your frame of reference but from where your camera is positioned it looks like the right screen should be angled more towards the the wall away from you for the screens to not have the split look that has other features in the game pass you by and such a different angle. I'm sure it's just your recording cameras frame of reference but I didn't know if you would see the same thing and maybe experiment at all.
easiest way to reverse in that place is to reverse around the building from the car park on the right of the entrance. i do it in one go that way :) nice review though, subscribed 👍
The reason you can't shift in With out using the clutch is because your rpm's are to low. When you go into Neutral you have to Get your rpms up to slide in the next gear. But man you got one of the best setups i have ever seen
I have a G27 setup and the delay is way worse than this, your steering wheel turns with the in-game one almost perfectly. Is that due to the steering wheel, monitor refresh rate or the computer itself?

You should play with this rig on the Multiplayer Mod. Amazing performance, however you may get nauseous with the Motion thing when a 6-yr old rams you for no reason.

When you are backing in your trailer make sure your trailer is as straight as possible go slow and don’t mess with the wheel the least amount as possible use it just to keep the trailer straight.
hi inside sim racing,i love this game,but all i wanna know is how do you get those TV screens hooked up are they TVs or PC screens? i have the G29 wheel/pedals, i have the same shifter as you but with it i have the add on 18-speed//jake brake with it,the only issues i have that i cant fix or find out the cause is it seems like if i have a normal engine and transmission,and i have a trailer on it even if the trailer is empty,and when i stop it seems that if i use H-shifter and use the clutch the truck keeps stalling when i try to move it even back up,so i dont know why that it,my guess is its either the weight of the truck/trailer its either the road im on that have small hills,or somethings under the wheels or something,or its because theres no clutch brake feature in the game that would stop it from stalling all the time like in real life,you just let the clutch out and it will go this doesnt but it seems like i have to have a strong engine and transmission in the truck to stop the stalling,but ive found that wether it stalls or not for example if im driving a 10-speed i found if i start lets say in 2-3rd gear even with no trailer the truck stalls so i see that if i use 1st gear on low range on a 10-speed,L on a 13-speed or LL on an 18-speed then it goes right away especially if i have a strong engine and transmission,but if i use other gears like 2-5th gear on low range it stalls,so im assuming this is all either im not patient/doing it right to get it to move or its cuz theres no clutch brake in the game,but alot of people hate using the clutch even in real life cuz of requiring to have to double clutch it so they try to float it,but i see in ATS that it will let you double clutch it without a clutch brake it does allow it and you can do it whenever you want to if you know how to or not,but the game does it like a car anyway so players can use a clutch without worrying about having to double clutch or not i do both single and double,i use real automatic to mainly for quick jobs or if i dont feel like using the clutch i tried floating it but it doesnt work for me,so if you can tell me what kind of screens those are and the cords to hook the up too that will help me,im using HDMI now,i have 3 flatscreen tvs both have HDMI & USB ports,will that work? & by the way i learned how to drive on a 10-speed because 1 of my uncles is a trucker,i also tried it on his other truck to cuz he had 2 a 10-speed and a 13-speed,but i took my road test on a 5-speed car and passed the 1st time,love stick shift,whats that APP called for the phone that shows the speed,gear etc
I drove for 17 years and I will tell you making turns and backing are very realistic. This game in VR will give you the closest thing to the real thing.

Inside Sim Racing Okay, i got SimVibe to work (after using auto-detection), but Foundation isn´t working. No problem, ingame-FFB is okay, but when you install the shakers, check out this SimVibe settings ("ATS SimVibe"). I got that in a german forum (it´s far from default i can tell) and this vibration-effects depending on the rpm and speed are amazing and a perfect addition to your Stage 4 i think. It´s mimicking even the sounds of speed but in case of ATS the grumbling engine. I now use it for every title and the main profile is without the suspension bump surges you will probably not need:)
The Depressed Gamer honestly I totally disagree with the whole vr concept unless you only play with the wheel and shifter. say you have a button box and other peripherals, using a vr headset will make it mush harder to drive because you don't know what buttons you are pressing. if you have all these things then get a Track IR instead of vr. they do the same thing but you can still see what the heck you are pressing on your box! 👍
They should add truck stops to this game if they haven't yet. Doesn't really simulate trucking pulling up to a gas station lol. 1.truck stop with pull in fuel isle with truck traffic waiting to fuel.2. Option to pull up to staging area after fuel and get food and use bathroom.3. Parking areas to cover sleep needs.4. Repair shop.That would make it more realistic, and it should be an easy mod, gamers would have fun.And I'm probably going to get someone to comment, "yeh and they should add lot lizards to knock on your door to wake you. Or someone asking for hotel money or gas money to get home because they're stranded with no cash." Lol
I drove long haul for 12 years, line for another 4 ...and I gotta say...its like taking me back on the road...especially with the wheel...which is a must. Though you can use the controller. TBH these guy do a better job with the truck physics, than SMS does with its Pcars physics. The shifting can be done without grinding...you just missed it.
hey man i need help!! when i load my wheel up and set up in game it says unsupported but still alows me 2 set up the wheel, then when i go in2 the game it freezes!! any help??
add a real air ride seat with a compressor. control the seat with an arduino that gets data from the vertical G values the sim is sending out. FYI -- high range ... low range on the splitter.button/lever.
Never driven a truck in my life. But I drive cars with gears as I live in Europe. Why do you always skip a gear when shifting? Is it something you just do with trucks? I don't do it that often when driving a car...

Have you unchecked the speed limiter under options? Nothing worse than not being able to haul ass. And reduce brake intensity, what 30+Ton rig stops within a few metres at speed.

Hey Darin, I can see people playing this game sorta. To someone who has never drove a truck it would be fun I guess. But, it is Not Realistic at all, to real life drive'n. If you ever get a chance to go to a Real Truck driving Simulator Course, You outta go try it out. Also 31,000 lbs on a truck is really a small load to. My empty weight on my Heavy Haul rig was over 80,000 lbs empty. No Load at all. I think you bought a Company Truck & not an Owner Operator's truck with a BIG engine.
+Danny Walker It's the only truck I could buy and has like 370 hp. For that truck is struggles. Im just starting out. There are some things that I feel are pretty real. I have a boat and know what it's like just to try and back that thing up with no experience. I can totally appreciate what you truckers do.

31000 pounds is only 3/4 full. Just so you know trucks in real life struggle uphill when heavy. Mine has nearly 500hp and I've had to pull hills in 6th. Don't worry about your backing, you're about as good as some guys in the truck stops.
Omar The Gamer Well, Euro Truck Simulator had real locations. But it was scaled down, so you don't actually have to drive hours and hours to get somewhere. I assume it's the same for this game.

You should try the TrackiR v5, it allows you to turn your head and look out the windows without pressing all the buttons>

You should set up the shifter in game to function as the Eaton layout. It's a better experience and you won't "skip" gears so to speak.

for the gears you are doing the right thing 1-6 ish skip a gear then 7 up go through each gear

I drove long haul for 12 years, line for another 4 ...and I gotta say...its like taking me back on the road...especially with the wheel...which is a must. Though you can use the controller.
TBH these guy do a better job with the truck physics, than SMS does with its Pcars physics.
The shifting can be done without grinding...you just missed it.

hey man i need help!! when i load my wheel up and set up in game it says unsupported but still alows me 2 set up the wheel, then when i go in2 the game it freezes!! any help??
add a real air ride seat with a compressor. control the seat with an arduino that gets data from the vertical G values the sim is sending out.
FYI -- high range ... low range on the splitter.button/lever.

Never driven a truck in my life. But I drive cars with gears as I live in Europe. Why do you always skip a gear when shifting? Is it something you just do with trucks? I don't do it that often when driving a car...
No, skipping gears in an American truck is not a normal thing. Speaking from 2.5 years of experience. Our trucks have non synchronized transmissions.

Simhub I got a website link from their desktop app and added to home screen through safari on IOS then it links up wirelessly
Have you unchecked the speed limiter under options? Nothing worse than not being able to haul ass. And reduce brake intensity, what 30+Ton rig stops within a few metres at speed.
+Dinxsy Speed limiter is un checked. I'll have to change that brake intensity too.

Hey Darin, I can see people playing this game sorta. To someone who has never drove a truck it would be fun I guess. But, it is Not Realistic at all, to real life drive'n. If you ever get a chance to go to a Real Truck driving Simulator Course, You outta go try it out. Also 31,000 lbs on a truck is really a small load to. My empty weight on my Heavy Haul rig was over 80,000 lbs empty. No Load at all. I think you bought a Company Truck & not an Owner Operator's truck with a BIG engine.
+Danny Walker It's the only truck I could buy and has like 370 hp. For that truck is struggles. Im just starting out. There are some things that I feel are pretty real. I have a boat and know what it's like just to try and back that thing up with no experience. I can totally appreciate what you truckers do.

31000 pounds is only 3/4 full. Just so you know trucks in real life struggle uphill when heavy. Mine has nearly 500hp and I've had to pull hills in 6th. Don't worry about your backing, you're about as good as some guys in the truck stops.

Omar The Gamer Well, Euro Truck Simulator had real locations. But it was scaled down, so you don't actually have to drive hours and hours to get somewhere. I assume it's the same for this game.
