Hi Rayne, I hope you're OK xx ❣ I love how fine you've managed to Spin the Yarn. I really appreciate all the "Close Ups" especially doing the " Short Forward Draw ". I can manage to do "Long Backward Draw" , but seem to struggle with the Short Forward Draw. Looking at your hands I think I'm going to close to the wheel. I'm making this "My Challenge ".!!! Hopefully by the end of TDF I'll have figured it out 😆

Hey Jen! Thank you! That is so cool. I am the exact opposite; I struggle with the long draw method but am trying to branch out into it more. So cool to have inspired you to try the short forward method! I really like the short forward draw but it sure can take a toll on the wrists after a while. Good luck in your spinning quest! I think I struggle with the short forward is that I hold the fibre to tight in my drafting hand. I know we'll both succeed in our drafting quests. I always learn something new from you. You are much appreciated.

I have a lot of alpaca fiber that I need to spin, but right now I am playing with my garden too much to sit and spin. I wish TDF was in a different month haha because it is too hot outside to mess with all the fiber. 😂
I know! This heat and humidity really puts me off spinning sometimes! I have to wait till nighttime and have a fan on most of the time! I love gardening as well! I want to have a big garden and learn to can a little better in the next few years. My family always has a big garden I have always helped from tilling down to picking every year.
Oh, and PS, alpaca is SO BAD about the humidity it sticks to EVERYTHING so i totally don't blame you!! 🤣
