This was really good! I have several skeins of hand spun yarn I to set the twist on.

Very nice. Definitely would make a scarf to get all the beautiful yarn used up.

Thank you, Jen! Hope you are well, I am great. I like how it turned out although I think it will be more pretty after being knitted than it is in skein form lol. I am thinking a scarf or add more to it and make a baby blanket as someone else suggested. I think that would be cool. Happy spinning, sending lots of love and big hugs as well! -Rayne ❤🐑❤

    Very nice yarn!
I have been spinning for about 3 years and have spun yarn that is useable but not as uniform and consistent as yours.
I have an older (1960’s)Ashford traditional that is in good shape for its age with a newer flyer with plastic bearing holder and newer bobbins.
I spin similar to the way you did in this video (short forward draw).
My question is when I spin and draft out the twist goes too far into the unspun fiber and I’m not able to draft out the same amount of fiber again and I get thick and then sections in my fiber therefore causing corkscrews and then thick sections whit not enough twist. I have tried all kinds of brake tension adjustments to no avail. Do you have any suggestions that might help.
Most of my fiber is commercially prepped combed top Corridale, BFL, or Romney.

Beautiful! Would that skein make a baby blanket? Or part of a baby blanket?

    • @RayneFiberArts

You always have the best ideas Phoebe! I hadn't thought of that. I could pair it with another skein or 2 and make a really nice blanket! Thank you!
