I played this piece with my orchestra and the atmosphere while playing it was incredible, my friend and I had the best times performing this
My favorite parts are the cello solo and the oboe solo was so gorgeous. I almost cried at the oboe solo.

I think it's absolutely incredible that they can produce such a beautiful sound. all those individual pieces coalescing into something so perfect... you can't even compare this to anything, it's staggering.

I play trumpet in a Fanfare orchestra, but we don't have trombones like there in the video. incredible! It sounds soooo awesome. you guys rock!
as I can see the are all in their learning age, so it is totally ok that sometimes they sound not in perfect pitch. They will learn, for now keep it up!Would be great to see an updated version, since this was from 2009!

***** it's unknown who was composer, really. There are so many 'pirates-like' tunes in earlier Zimmer work, his influence in first film OST is very strong, he provided some themes for it. And second and third films are Zimmer's completely.
+Roman Kurbatov to answer this age old question, Hans gave some themes to Klaus for the first film since he was busy with some other film. So Klaus wrote the music for the first film and Hans did the rest.

I had eight very entertaining minutes listening to this refreshing rendition. Thanks. Oh, and I was second violin on this, too, in our orchestra. So I do know what you mean.

That whole singing thing can be done with instumental (viola or cello is optimal) accompinament. and it sounds good.
@Acromech Because they can focus the little sheet and not get distracted because they have no peripheral vision....
