WOW...!!! Dominican Republic's Capital.... Santo Domingo. Santo Domingo translated to English means Saint Dominic. Domingo also means Sunday. Like El Salvador translated means The Saviour. Thank you so much for the vivid video clip Dave and company / team. God bless you and keep you safe.
You guys go to some of the most beautiful places...how fortunate you are. Im thankful you share with us the amazing stories with us. My dads been in the hospital and, by God's grace, he's coming home ❤😍✝️
Please make sure you make people know that the capital of Dominican Republic is Santo Domingo. Many people make the mistake of calling the country Santo Domingo and I am always having to explain to them of this error. The original name of the island was Quisqueya which was named by the natives. The "Dominican" word comes from the Latin Dominicus, meaning Sunday. However, the island has this name by Santo Domingo de Guzmán (Saint Dominic), founder of the Order of the Dominicans.

Also a fact that you should include in another episode is that Dominican Republic is the only country in the world that has a Bible in its flag.
Godbless Dominican Republic's Catholic Church 🇩🇴🇻🇦

Hi thank you for this. I’m Dominican and we still refer to our country as Santo Domingo.
Everyone come visit
