My first classic car arrived today and we filmed it! Check out the unloading, first drive and first impressions.
The 1978 Corvette marks the cars 25th anniversary of production and this C3 Corvette Indy Pace Car is one of 6,502 limited edition cars ever produced. After searching for a C3 corvette for a while I spotted this limited edition car with only 47,000 miles in excellent condition for its age. Due to the current restrictions, we didn't travel to see the car and after many phone calls and video calls with the owner, I decided to have it delivered. JDT transport dropped it off on March 11th and here is our vlog from the "unboxing" to that magical first drive. Hopefully, we have a great summer to look forward to and can put some more miles on the clock!

Probably figured this out by now, but just leave it in 3rd and it will shift thru all 3 automatically. Gear in 2 will limit it to 1st and 2nd.
At least it'll spend more time on the road than in the mechanic's garage than the Jaguars of the same model year!

Brits with a American classic Corvette name after a English warship designed by a Russian named Duntov that paced in a race track in Indiana. How amazing!
BTW '3' Is Drive as this is a fully automatic transmission and your "indicators" is the long lever on the left of the steering wheel and the fuel tank holds 25 US gallons or about 95 litres of petrol. So good luck with her!
The body was designed by Larry Shinoda. A Japanese American who's family was interred in a camp by FDR during the war. Larry penned the C2, C3 and the 69 Mustang.
Sorry for all the comments... but the fuel issue. You are correct, keep it away from ethanol gas. 2 choices for us in the US... pure gas is available in most states at specialty gas stations OR add ethanol treatment to each tank (I've used the STABIL brand in the past). Enjoy that sweet Vette. It's got the right engine!
LOVED your video. Enjoyed the drive. LOVE the Stingray. Oh... just drop it in "D" for drive and go. It'll start in 1st gear and shift up through all gears automatically.

Just a heads up, you'll get about 8 miles to the gallon, the windows have a tendency to stick as do the pop headlights. A fantastic car though.

The Valve lifters need adjustment -they are clacking ,otherwise COOL !

Could just be a sticky valve or lifter. Don't know what you guys have in UK, but here in the colonies we have marvel mystery oil. Works great I'd that's all it is.

All of the 78 pace cars were automatics. I've had the same car for the last 19 years, it was my dream car growing up and still is the best looking Vette to this day.
Sounds like an old truck.. Cant get out of its own way.
