Or how the droid had to dart out from behind cover instead of just rotating its sensors to the rear, getting a fraction of a second glance, and then calculating its attack based on that image.
They can rotate their cameras 360 degrees, but that doesn't mean they can see 360 degrees at all times. You can clearly see that none of the cameras were looking behind when Anakin was sneaking up on it.
you can tell if a droid is deadly when it is accurate, smart, and or doesn't die in 1 shot by a blaster you can send a few of these in a mission and they can last over a minute in a fight.
3:10 this scene always freaks me off since i was a kid A droid, with a sniper rifle, in the SUPREME CHANCELLOR office, security measures in star wars are dead, wow
It is part of star wars lore that if you're being attacked by a droid, sometimes it's worth it to simply command them to stop, depending on the situation, they may not have been programed to ignore you. At least I remember that from one of the really old novels.
I would think they would cost not as much as a specific faction unit like how commandos are unique to the separatists but instead a unit like Boba Fett and Bosk if that makes sense
At 0:56, the droid that lost an arm regains it, only to lose it again when it falls. It happens another time before that but I'm too lazy to find it. At 1:05, it has more of a stub, whereas previously it was cut off almost at the shoulder.
Mine are the ones that are either hard to kill (whether it's a trooper or a Jedi) or have really cool skills in mobility or combat. So this is one of them
Senate guard armor by that point was mostly for show, compare that armor to the one you see them wear in say like SWTOR it's obvious by that point the senate guard is just ceremonial.
Well, it's like RollsRoyce. They have the best quality and luxury. And you don't see em everyday. You see normal cheap cars Is the same, these most cost a lot, they better use cheap ones easy to replace
i think is beacuse he have detached it or nightvision take many energy from his battery . This is reason when he use flashlight like Din Djarin or clone's
They seem to be almost equal in terms of agility. And both models seem to work best in teams. Accuracy seems to be about the same as well, and both models are extremely capable in melee combat. However, the IG-86s seem to have an edge in how they're able to contort their bodies, thus opening angles of attack impossible for the BX. I'll go ahead and assume they're also better armored, although we've seen both BXs and IGs take several blaster shots before being taken down. Now, for the price. Last I checked, the BX costs only 20000 credits, which is about the same as a vulture droid. IGs being IGs will naturally cost more. A lot more. I couldn't find a price for the 86, but I think it's safe to assume it's at least three yes the cost. Maybe more.
Don’t remember when those droids where get the famous of being letal. I know those (all models variants) get some famous during the first trilogy where the bounty hunters where introduced, but since the, i don’t remember how they were known to be such dangerous. I mean, clone wars and the Mandalorian show us why, but I see when people notice there are some IG droids, they almost pee their pants. I feel more scared when Command droids show but I can see in comments that an IG droid its even worst than Commandos. Both Droids are awesome anyways
These are all IG-86's, which while not commonly sold, were originally made as security droids. They were just really deadly and didn't have some of the constraints of other security droid models, and because of that they found a lot of use by criminal elements.
Since I heard that IG-88 and Dengar are going to be released in the Star Wars Retro collection I would like to ask this. Can you actually buy multiples of either IG-88 and IG-11 retro collection figures to army build assassin droids?
I think it’s funny that anakin was able to sneak up on it when the droid was designed to see in 360 degrees.
I think it's funny 2 force sensitive couldn't sense or hear them, they were like 4 steps behind her how could she not hear them.
The force was strong with those two droids (and with anakin)
Or how the droid had to dart out from behind cover instead of just rotating its sensors to the rear, getting a fraction of a second glance, and then calculating its attack based on that image.
Yeah I thought that
They can rotate their cameras 360 degrees, but that doesn't mean they can see 360 degrees at all times. You can clearly see that none of the cameras were looking behind when Anakin was sneaking up on it.
0:30 you know it’s season 1 when dance music starts playing when an action scene starts
This must be where they got the idea for the Dark Trooper's theme XD

Or moff gideon
He has literally a rapbeat as his theme

Such a bizarre choice. I’d bet good money that was George’s idea.

Like commandos
To nurse and protect
I shudder to think what would happen if they encountered one of the later IG-88 models that are practically and upgraded version of these
Wow the lighting and animation have come a LONG way
And the music too
"Thanks for the memories."
Even though they weren't so great
that was actually funny
Such an underrated droid design I’d love to see it make its way to live action

Haven't you seen The Mandalorian?
The Mandalorian?
If you are talking about the assassin droids then go watch The Mandalorian, P l e b
MANDOLORIAN HAS YOU COVERED
Ah, the early Clone Wars days with that rustic look and feel
3:10 this scene always freaks me off since i was a kid
A droid, with a sniper rifle, in the SUPREME CHANCELLOR office, security measures in star wars are dead, wow
i mean to be fair palps doesnt exactly need protection...
1:42 those guys are useless. a senate guard sees armed assassin droids, pointing lasers at him, and he tells them to stop...
are we going to ignore that he literally tanked a shot that WENT THROUGH HIS CHEST? not to mention his armor as well, holy shit
Because they are as intelligent as the screenwriters and what they make them to be. A real one wouldnt act like that.
Thats probably why they were replaced by the shock troopers

@@noahboucher125 man that's a cool idea, about to get murdered an you just say "cut it out" and suddenly you have nothing to worry about
Ever since IG-11, I've loved these Bounty Hunter droids
Me Too :-)
I used to have a toy one of these when I was little just after the show came out, I was devastated when the leg broke.
Thank the stars for super glue.
Are you talking about the Kenner one?
When i was a kid i thought the animation was so good, damn they came a long way

We need those droids in Battlefront 2
Facts but too bad ea give up on the game I'm still mad about that😂
I would think they would cost not as much as a specific faction unit like how commandos are unique to the separatists but instead a unit like Boba Fett and Bosk if that makes sense
Kind of wish they would replace Bossk
To think that I thought the first clip was test footage at first shows how far this has come
4:23
One of the smartest people in star wars.
1:44
"Stop!"
IG was like "Lol blaster go pew pew!!"
Guard got targeted, "Stop!"
IG-86, "Are u serious?"

On a side note, that animation of it switching shelves is fucking cool as shit. Really shows how creative you can be with a robot like these ones
Ashoka's death because she didn't here those loud robot noses
For real. Their start up noise is so loud. Like how do you not hear that.
And aren't force sensitives supposed to have heightened senses?

She didn't die in this video.
Not gonna lie but given how tough and advanced IG units are known to be makes them my Absolute Favorite type of droid in the Star Wars Universe.
Mine are the ones that are either hard to kill (whether it's a trooper or a Jedi) or have really cool skills in mobility or combat.
So this is one of them
Man I feel bad for that droid at 1:51
1:48 causes pain to astromech fans
Yeah. I hate to see Lep servant droids die. Scratch that I hate to see droids that ARE good die.
I like the portrayal of the ig droid in the mandalorian. Savage.
2:07 the way he dodged the blaster bolts, damn
2:04 Anakin pulling a Han Solo here
One day a IG droid give it's life to protect a baby Yoda named Grogu.
0:29 hey look they use electro music, dark trooper style
No wonder the Empire hired one along with the other bounty hunters during Empire Strikes Back
That's IG-88 not IG-86
1:48 No! Not that droid duo!
I like that droids in an animated show is less exageratedly robotic than in a life action show.
These droid's have better armor than senate guard Elite of republic ... wtf i always think senate guard armor quaranted medium bulletproof
Senate guard armor by that point was mostly for show, compare that armor to the one you see them wear in say like SWTOR it's obvious by that point the senate guard is just ceremonial.
Well, it's like RollsRoyce. They have the best quality and luxury. And you don't see em everyday. You see normal cheap cars

Maybe they are more showy like the queens guard yeah they have guns andbtraining but they arent used for battles.
My planning is probably way too heavy for a human to have on their body, that’s probably why Mandalorian armor IS RARE because it’s very light.
It seems like all armor in Star Wars does nothing. (Except Din's)
Definitely my favorite type of droids in all of star wars
R2 literally outsmarted an IG Assasin twice, he would've escaped Bane's droids if C-3PO wasn't brought up
2:24 why does he use a flashlight, dont they have night vision?
Different model maybe?
These are sentinel droids not the assassin kind
Honestly I'm confused too
i think is beacuse he have detached it or nightvision take many energy from his battery . This is reason when he use flashlight like Din Djarin or clone's
I dunno, older broken down models?
3:03 Looney Tunes time it is
0:30 kinky droid
3:01 “pull the trigger, please, I promise it will be most optimal”
0:55 he has an arm. 1:00 but then he doesn’t, wow, they really where beginners.
"We are to rendezvous back at the Senate building🤖 3:36"
1:16 The music is really weird
But I kinda like it
It’s like Space Dance
I would like to see a comparison between an IG11 and an IG88.
It's effective, if your goal is to kill us all! - George, Déjà Grape (2008)
Nasty things. I can't believe the Republic permitted their creation.
I don’t think they did ig- units are made illegally somewhere I think
The voice of the flying droid though....anyone else think its familiar?
Seth Green
Rip the droids :(
Poor senate droids were just doing they're jobs!
Its funny how in 0:57 the driod grew back his lost arm and then it just disappeared again.
Those are my favorite droids

i feel like the commando driods were stronger than all driods since they are deadlier than other driods in melee and range
imagine if the entire driod army was just commando driods
youd need to keep firing to just even get 1 of them down
IG-88 and HK-47 would like to speak with you
She seriously didn’t hear those things turn on
Were the IG sentinels just constantly blasting awesome beats every time they went into combat mode?
wow the mouth animation is atroushi.
I thought the ig in the thumbnail was lego starwars
they got the music from Ratchet and Clank leftovers
I have always wondered which series is the best one.
IG 86 or the BX...

No. But they're bounty droids so they don't care. I still feel bad for those good droids however. Especially the one that tried to escape.
Why did they not use theese guys instead of stormtroopers
Golokagebopp
I’m going to say this for no particular reason but those assassin droids are not of the 4 IG-88 models
I noticed something, does the ig-86 model move faster than the ig-11?
0:29 You wanna tell me that the jedi didn't hear the droid noises behind her? I love the series but this is just pure bullshit.
I thought these guys are supposed to be super rare? Like legendary rare.

depends on which IG unit
advanced ones are rare mass produced units are common
Since I heard that IG-88 and Dengar are going to be released in the Star Wars Retro collection I would like to ask this. Can you actually buy multiples of either IG-88 and IG-11 retro collection figures to army build assassin droids?
I did. C:
