Excellent ride .
Great series so far 👏. Done Ireland in 3 separate mini tours and loved it too. But great to watch you're coverage as you miss so much when riding. Look forward to Wales. 👍
beautiful journey through lush green fields and trees, nice filming 🤗👏👍🏵️
It really was an amazing trip👍🇨🇮
Great video mate, done the Antrim Coastal Route with my son June 2023. We did it anticlockwise from Belfast to Londonderry. Stopping in Derry, think you have dropped a clanger by not walking down to the Giants Causeway. It was amazing, but more like a 40 min walk each way from the carpark, and yes we were fully leathered up, with helmets........looking forward to the Welsh section, as I'm a South Wales lad. Cheers ShaftRides.
I really should have gone down for a look🤦♂️
It was good to see you looking a souvenir shop , when you said that before heading to the causeway you were on part of the North west 200 Road Racing course. If you look backe on the road you can see the grid marks like white u shapes. You could have got souvenirs in portsteward or portrush . There is a mot in Northern Ireland from 4 yrs & every year after that.
So glad you did the coast road,it’s a peach of a road
It really was, and with the weather to boot!👍😎🇨🇮
Fantastic video mate black pud is a must on the breakfast
I've given it my best shot to like it, and have tried it many times, but it's remains utterly disgusting!🤣🤣
Looks like you finally hit some sunshine and the roads look amazing so maybe I need to do an Ireland trip at some point. If I heard rightly this all happened late May, early June when I had a quick jaunt around Wales for three days but I left on May 26th so just before you arrived..
I was late to the table myself with touring Ireland, but it really is worth it👍🇨🇮
Black pudding, love it.
Nice video, great scenery, coastal road is stunning,I don’t mind black pudding, don't eat sausage 🏴, I heard that about not needing an MOT in southern Ireland but that was 30 odd years ago ,not sure if its correct,
Black puddin... I'm with you, Haggis... no, sorry you have that wrong. Another amazing days riding, thanks for taking us along.
I've definitely stirred up a hornets nest on this subject. Haggis smells like what I feed my dog in the morning!🤣🤣
@@thelikeablerider8800 it may smell like your dogs food, but that doesn't mean that Haggis isn't delicious. Ever wondered why your dog gets so excited just before breakfast....
Always look forward to your amazing videos my friend! Thanks for sharing and ride safe my friend 🙏
Thank you very much, I'm glad you like them👍😜
Loving the videos , Sean , your trip is one I want to do in retirement . Ride safe
Can't think of a better retirement trip, you'll love it👍🇨🇮
5:50. Aussie here. Loved the haggis. Never had it before visiting Scotland this year. I'll try and buy it here but it's not readily available. As for black pudding...I like it but prefer white pudding.
Nah I'm out! I've given it plenty of chances, it remains utterly rank!🤣
Slagging haggis and black pudding!?! Outrageous! I love both ❤
I almost unsubscribed 😉🤣
I really should learn not to include such debates in my videos. Last year, while touring Scotland, I foolishly referred to my breakfast as a "full english." Can you imagine......🤦♂️🤣
I did the Wild Atlantic Way in September..... totally agree with you...... the people, hotels and roads are amazing. I couldn't do the NI section due to work commitments.... that's a trip for next year.... can't wait 😀🏍
The East coast of NI, which I didn't get to, also looked great!
Everyone has to pay in to the causeway it’s owned by the national trust who uses the money for the up keep. He was telling you to go to the nest entrance I think you can walk in for nothing, your bike would be safe enough up that end area. Which I had new when you were there I would have made arrangement to take you around for the day .great video
Souvenirs are always a must on a trip, even if it's just a bottle opener!🤣
Nice video...despite your slanderous comments about black pudding, a great addition to breakfast..😂😂😂. You got lucky with the weather. Cheers Steve
I don't know how you eat the stuff, I've given it my best shot, I'm done with it!🤣🤣
Perfer white pudding, it’s the future! 👍
I'll give it a miss!
Ah the obligatory Irish music 😂😂🎶
Great video as always. Like others have said MOT in NI but not in RoI. The scenic route is a single track road around the headland (Torr Head) but the road you took from Ballycastle over the mountain to Cushendall and then on to Carlingford is a better riders road. Glad you managed to catch the one day of summer we had this year.
Ah okay, don't mind a single track mind, but I'm glad I went for the castle road. Great days ridding👍🇨🇮
Hi yes mot in northern Ireland but non in south and giant causeway if you get thear before 9am or after 5pm you can ride down to it just a rip off as normal good luck in wales love the place but watch out for speed cameras 👍
I'm all up for paying for it if someone is being paid to maintain it, but this was clearly on another level of money making.
re the black pudding, I tend to agree, but have you tried the white pudding? Not bad!
BTW in Southern Ireland, no MOT for bikes (called the NCT here)
I'm done trying it, or in any other form. Somethings just shouldn't be eaten!🤣🤣
Hey Sean, there is most definitely an MOT for bikes in NI (unfortunately lol).
Seems only to be in NI, bugger!
Nice one Shaun. One of my pet hates is people trying to make money from natural beauty. It's not like they made them. They do the same in Wales at Devil's bridge.
It's fine if someone is being paid to maintain it, but that was a whole other level of money making.
Loving this journey, pml at your description of black pudding and haggis, feckin hillarious, if you get the chance try ‘fruit pudding’ - white pudding with fruit, maybe sultanas, used to call it Spotty Dick, sort of cause and effect…..
Think I'm done trying to like it. It's off-limits from here on in!🤣
Do you think you could publish the GPX routes you took for this adventure ?
That get asked a fair bit, maybe I can look into that for the future.
No mot in the ROI. Mot in NI.
28:20. The tourists on the Giants causeway are like ants. Imagine them driving down there? It would be total chaos. That's why they use shuttle buses or you walk. Worst thing about motorcycle touring is lugging your gear around if you are not happy to leave it on the bike.
Yes, looking at it like that, it would be utter chaos if it wasn't organised in some shape or form.
No MOT for bikes in Malta
Mate I 100% agree with you about the black pudding and haggis..... 🤮🤮🤮It's the food of Satan, and should be made illegal 😂😂😂
Total agree, not to be consumed in public, and to be transported in a brown paper bag!
another great vid Shaun always the way making money out of natural beauty 🙁
Yeah it's a real shame, but as someone else rightly pointed out, imagine the chaos if there wasn't some sort of organisation! For me though, it's always a put off having to pay to go look at nature.
