Rich & Ewa. Maximum respect to you both! I’ve been riding since 1979 when I bought my first bike (a brand new Honda XL185) and I can honestly say I’ve never ridden in conditions anything like those on this video. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for eradicating any lingering thoughts I might have had about moto camping! Yes, there’s little doubt that there’s some money to be saved by camping but I’d rather travel light knowing I have unlimited hot water, a hot meal, a cold beer and a warm bed waiting for me at the next hotel! The thought of waking up in a cold wet tent is the stuff of nightmares! Rain, motorcycling and camping……an unholy trinity!!! However, you continue to impress me with your tenacity, resilience, dogged determination, humour…..and cheese suppers!! Long may it continue!!!
Well said ABD. I'd love to be able to b&b with light luggage, it sounds great too. There's pros and cons with every method I suppose. As long as we have fun doing it, carry on carrying on!
Respect Guys! My wife and I gave up UK motorcycle camping years ago following two solid weeks of rain on a tour of Cornwall two-up. These days it’s Premier Inns & B&Bs, the hot meals and hot showers more than make up for the cost. Well done, great video.
You two deserve a medal. I told you before Wales and Rain go together .😂. You are both great motorcyclist ,iam glad you are both back safe and well. Take care
Nice bit of filtering... including the best example of what we have to watch out for, a car moving from a stationary lane, to another stationary lane 'that's moving faster'. Funnily enough, on my last trip to North Wales in September, it rained like that on the way home. I left sunny but chilly Wales looking like the Michelin man in my one piece suit. By the time I got to Raglan I was well pleased to be wearing it. Those Voge 900's really seem to be going well.

Hello again I don’t mind riding in the rain as long as I have good wet gear , I need some new gear so it looks like I will be getting Oxford gear cheers again Francis
Glad you got home safely. Reminded me of a time back in 1982 when our biker gang went up Derbyshire dales camping for Easter week. We camped in a pub garden, it rained, sleeted and sometimes snowed, the entire week. Could barely sleep due to and old crappy barn guttering leaking and dripping next to my tent. Oh what times we had. 🤟
I gave up camping a long time ago. If the weather is bad as it was in Scotland last year, there is always a warm place to dry off and rest if you go B&B.

A good point about the luggage , the quality now is better than some of the so called named brands easy. The bikes for me they are as good as many others but time will ne the judge of that. Hard slog in the rain no matter what bike your on great video.
Yes I have to agree, in the short time we have had these bikes I have had a real hard time faulting them! The heated seat and grips were nice on this ride, wow that was a horrible ride, one of those days when you begin to wonder if it’s worth the risk anymore or should we just pull over and find a hotel. If we had been further from home I would have close to do just that
@ontheroadadventure no more than any other tent. I ride alone and it's easy to use, plenty of space even with my bike in there. I use my own ground sheet, theirs was expensive. On my first trip it ripped, I sent a photo, they sent a new one no arguing.
You two looked super happy to be home!! Nice vid, pleased that you published it, living in the UK ain't all Cakes And Ale when it comes to the weather, very impressed with the panniers, bet they're a fraction of the price of a European "branded" set...... which is also made in China!
Well done folks for battling through, once you get your gear on and get on the bike semi dry you are usually ok if your gear is fairly good, camping in the rain is no fun, nice inside listening to it but that's all. 2 questions, what;s that big screen carpride? sat nav thing and what's the name of that alarmed disc lock? love u bye🥰
Three types of people (in cars), when you are filtering, those who help you by making space, those who are oblivious to you, and those who make a conscious effort to block you! My water-proofs let me down on Monday this week (07.10.24) commuting 15 miles to my home from the centre of Manchester, well Old Trafford really. Fortunately I had picked up some new boots, the previous Saturday, so at least my feet were dry. I just hate the lack of visibility, when it's hammering down!
Those people that try and block you are just jealous that you can make progress while they are stuck, some awful idiots on the road, oxford rainseal overboots are good and Scott waterproofs.
Welcome home safe guys. New subscriber here, loving your raw style. I have to say, my Triumph Trophy 1215SE has been all over the UK in ‘biblical’ downpours; the panniers and topbox have done Triumph proud. My Pan European before would let water in but never had an issue with the Triumph. Back to Northumberland from Sussex tomorrow, but might have to take the car as I’ll probably be bringing some stuff back, we’ll see. All the best

Its called liquid sunshine!! No point worrying if a tent is wet as it needs unpacking. That coffee machine is so cool tho. Ridden in rain so heavy that we has to slow to 20mph cos no visability. Also put soaking bike gear on knowing ot was going to dry during the day. Not nice and my worse is putting on a soaking wet helmetnew saying....."wetter than an otters pocket!"

I don’t know maybe we can ask them and see what they can give us in the future
Those bikes are sooooo bmw! Love the shape and quality of the luggage set .
Couldn't agree more! Just half the cost!
That was rain but them bikes are the bee's knees and very smart bikes I must say
We are very impressed with them, every bit as good as any other machine I’ve ridden at double the price of these
A good point about the luggage , the quality now is better than some of the
so called named brands easy. The bikes for me they are as good as many
others but time will ne the judge of that. Hard slog in the rain no matter
what bike your on great video.
Yes I have to agree, in the short time we have had these bikes I have had a real hard time faulting them! The heated seat and grips were nice on this ride, wow that was a horrible ride, one of those days when you begin to wonder if it’s worth the risk anymore or should we just pull over and find a hotel. If we had been further from home I would have close to do just that
I've got one of those tents, really good loads of space and easy to use.
Do you not find the condensation an issue?
@ontheroadadventure no more than any other tent. I ride alone and it's easy to use, plenty of space even with my bike in there. I use my own ground sheet, theirs was expensive. On my first trip it ripped, I sent a photo, they sent a new one no arguing.
Definitely stay in the tent...what beautiful British weather
Rubbish day! Some times you just have to push through
Great test for the bikes so far but blimey 9k ! I guess it’s the long term that counts but defo looking good .
We shall see… 👍
Another great honest review 😊😊👌👌
Thank you 😊
Rain sucks, but you did it. Awesome content... it's not always sunshine...
No it’s the real experience on this channel 👍
Yet another great video. It was good to see that the panniers didn't let the weather in, what your new helmets?
Yes the panniers have been really impressive. Ewa has Nolan carbon mine is LS2
Is touring Ireland on the cards? Like wild Atlantic way or ring of Kerry?
We did do a tour in Ireland some time ago now but you may still enjoy it th-cam.com/video/r2yhh8-sEA4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UhHRkG5DZdrBjQre
You two looked super happy to be home!! Nice vid, pleased that you published it, living in the UK ain't all Cakes And Ale when it comes to the weather, very impressed with the panniers, bet they're a fraction of the price of a European "branded" set...... which is also made in China!
Yep the quality of the product is amazing for the price
Been lovely here on Anglesey all week , expect rain near mountainsjust like the lake district when we rode up there at the beginning of july 👍
It’s never fun on days like that but we always like a challenge
@@ontheroadadventure it's just the way it is, I enjoy riding rain or shine but much better in dry weather👍
Well done folks for battling through, once you get your gear on and get on the bike semi dry you are usually ok if your gear is fairly good, camping in the rain is no fun, nice inside listening to it but that's all.
2 questions, what;s that big screen carpride? sat nav thing and what's the name of that alarmed disc lock?
love u bye🥰
Thanks bud, yes it’s Caruupride sat nav and Oxford Boss Alarmed disc lock
@@ontheroadadventure Thanks.
Bloody good on yer both 👏
Thanks eddie
Hi, how did your Oxford Rain gear hold up in that heavy downpour?
Very good 👍 we have a review video of them on the channel
Yes but the guy I fear most is the BMW that won’t slow down even if the heaviest of rain!
Yes they will do their best to try to stop you! How sad
Love watching your videos!
Makes me want to go out and do all that stuff 😳 but I’m 65 so it’s hotels for me !
Keep the videos coming 👍🏻
You can do it!
Van with a bed in it and a tow bar for a trailer with the bikes on it.
A tempting prospect!
Come visit sunny South Africa. Mostly sunny riding weather all year round
Now that’s a trip we would love to do!
Thanks bud, safe trip 👍
You two are as mad as a box of frogs but a very well done to you both for going out in that lot . I bought the carpurid this yr went to the bottom of Portugal with it & i ues sygic maps of which i found to be very good tells you all you need to know as your rideing where the next petrol station is when there is a speed camera coming up & a lot more . Question how does the Oxford oversuit do in that rain 🌧️ ? have fun guys regards Ray
I’m going to try that app, so many have suggested it 👍👍
I salute you both, that weather looked biblical!!!
Epically so!
Well done Both of you , Riding in Rain as Heavy and Constant as it was No fear in you both, How would you Rate the Oxford Rain Gear out of 10 and are the Trousers hard to get into with Motor bike boots on .Cheers Francis
Thanks Francis, Its never ideal to ride in the rain like that but sometimes you just have to get your head down and get it done. We love the Oxford Bright Rain stuff. Very good.
It only rains once a year in Brecon , starts on the 1st January and finishes on 31st December 😂
ah we were unlucky to go right at that time lol
Really enjoy your videos guys thanks again. 😎
Our pleasure!
Monsoon weather, 😮you'd have been better off in a speed boat 🚤 🚢 😏 definitely not fair weather bikers , respect 👍
Many thanks, we ride on regardless 👍👍
Its called liquid sunshine!! No point worrying if a tent is wet as it needs unpacking. That coffee machine is so cool tho.
Ridden in rain so heavy that we has to slow to 20mph cos no visability. Also put soaking bike gear on knowing ot was going to dry during the day. Not nice and my worse is putting on a soaking wet helmetnew saying....."wetter than an otters pocket!"
I hate the wet helmet feeling, that’s the worst
Be Interesting to see what the on board dash cam footage is like side by side your go pros.
Terrible I’d imagine 1080p vs our 5.3k cams
Ewa & Ritch that’s bad weather ride safe 😇
Yep, no fun
Nice Wales wether drive to Spain or Portugal there is stil good wether good luck
It has crossed our minds
Well done guys never pleasant riding in the rain. How dry did your Oxford rain suits keep you both?
Yes they are very good, and they reflect light making you much easier to be seen especially at night
you guys made my friday night 🍻 Have a great weekend
@@trekker8187 yup and mine
Sat chuckling on a cold dark night
We all get days like this, just got to push on through them
Glad you enjoyed it
Good filtering d as lightly moist ride home 👍
Yep some days you got to just get it done 👍
@@ontheroadadventure been there done that boil in the bag all in one suite helps
Hopefully you didn’t meet anymore fookwits in Wales
We’re nice really 🤔
Well done guys, l think gortex gloves might be a good investment 😂
Yes we would love a upgrade on the gloves soon for sure
That looked horrendous! Not done heavy rain (or snow) for a many years now! Impressive that the panniers held up. How did your waterproofs do?
Thanks Andy, the waterproof tops are good they are Oxford rainseal bright and glow in the dark we have a video on them, very good
Hate riding on a motorway in heavy rain, too many idiots driving at excessive speeds….accidents waiting to happen!
Well done both; I guess you enjoyed a hot meal after that and a good sleep🛌💤💤💤
Yes there’s always a BMW still wanting to travel at 120mph despite the risk of aquaplaning
@@ontheroadadventure I may take some stick for this but I reckon BMW (&Audi) drivers read a different version of The Highway Code to the rest of us; either that or their cars come with a ‘How to drive like a dick’ Manual!! 🤪
there well made lid on top most sensible
You have to give it to Voge, they have a good product here especially for 9k
Lol i thought these were bmw gs until you mentioned voge :D that brand is new to me! :)
Lol well most of it is!
