I have tested this car too. The most complete version. The weakest point is the engine. Starting 60 km/h and higher it makes noise during the acceleration. It must be a stronger engine for this car weight.

2:45 - Indeed... the rear doors just open a crack...
3:01 - Indeed... hardly any legroom...
Neither the "standard" Yaris nor the Yaris Cross seem made for a family. When you see how limited the space in the rear seats is and how much (or better: little) the rear doors open, you wonder what the designers had in mind here. If I (with my 6 ft) had to sit behind myself, I poke my knees into the driver's seat.
Try to install a child seat in a Yaris/Yaris Cross, let alone "fill" that seat... 😒
Compare the space, especially in the back, to a Honda Jazz or Jazz Crosstar. They are 13.5 or 9 cm. shorter, 7 cm. narrower and have a 4 cm. shorter wheelbase. But... much more space and much more accessible!
Unfortunately, you have about 100 liters of luggage space less in the Hondas (if you didn't know that a lot of junk fits in that empty space under the magic seats, for example a folding buggy...).
