Thank you for the knowledge Mr Radar. I Figured out High Laser VS Falcon right before you used it as an example, I feel so silly now, it's so obvious.
Honestly a lot of stuff that seems obvious is still really tough to figure out on your own! Melee is damn complex

This is a great format, really enjoyed it! Short, sweet, and to the point, but with plenty of examples. Good stuff.
I have no problem with the video being "live" like a powerpoint with some videos you're clicking through. obviously it's less polished than a fully edited one, but like.. I don't see it as a significant problem. if it enables you to make content you otherwise wouldn't make, dope.

I can see a point where new viewers are offput by a perceived scuff but this is great content that im glad is out instead of suffering in editing hell

I personally really like this format (lingering on slideshow text) because I can very quickly see what you're talking about when skimming through the video, and then watch the good follow up information
don't have to browse through the transcripts like I usually do
being able to pick the right chapter based off that sliderbar preview is really strong
definitely don’t change up the style. You have concise and strong points and emphasize them with examples to make it clear to the audience.
Enjoyed the video. Theres a lot I haven’t thought about when it comes to falco lasers :)
I think the video is great not only bc of the amount of information contained in it, but it shows how nuanced and well-thought out each laser has to be to be effective in most matchups. Ppl will complain about falco being carried by laser but don’t understand how complicated it gets around the mid level to actually have them be effective, and how mindlessly camping is a lot trickier than it might seem at first.

Great format, and I think the majority of topics can be covered like this. In this format, some topics and examples would benefit a lot from embedded clips, if that doesn't take too much effort.

Another good laser is the high laser vs marth that is unpowershieldable. If you shoot a laser frames 1,4,5, or 6 of your jump marth cant PS
This is stronger in some ways from the low one against marth because marth still has a 1-2 frame window to PS against the low laser if they're dashing back
Also against falcon im pretty sure that falcon can nair over most high lasers and falco sometimes needs a super high laser to completely anti aerial a nair
Last thing ill say is not all lasers need to hit your opponent to be useful. I think you kinda cover this later in the vid but using lasers to shut down your opponents options can be super useful even if they dont hit. Shooting a high laser over puffs head can still be super good since you prevented her from just freely jumping
I'll take slideshows every day of the week than some VOD of someone getting sidetracked in a lesson and rambling for 15 minutes (I love you Fiction, but I need to know how to shoot a laser not the exact frame I should be fast falling to option select between Shiek's fair and bair off of FoD's rising, low platform).

The PowerPoints are pretty based. Same information, more to the point. Plus you could share the PP after and people could look back at it later rather than having to skip through a whole video.
does the laser after the powershielded low laser have to be a high one? Cant you just jump over the powershielded low laser and manipulate the timing with which you press laser and your ff to have a mid laser still come out? In my experience high lasers are kinda hard to apply vs marth because of low profile + easy powershields, and i think i can usually shoot a mid or even a low laser after jumping over the deflected one.
It doesn’t have to be the highest possible laser, it can be medium high. But, the reason it’s low>high is because if it’s low>low you sometimes will end up jumping over the laser, only to fast fall back into the tail of the laser you just jumped over if that makes sense.
If you choose to not do a fast fall, your laser comes out slower which makes it less/completely ineffective depending on spacing. Imagine a spacing where Marth is planning on immediately wave dash f-smash afterwards. If you do the fast laser he can’t f-smash, but the delayed low laser gives him enough time.
Finally, high lasers are pretty good vs Marth because of his height and short hop approaches. If he wasn’t so good at power shielding you’d do them a lot, and since no one really tries doing powershield into powershield that’s why high laser is good. The “high lasers are easier to powershield” thing just doesn’t apply to the second laser 99% of the time since Marth’s dont go for that as it makes the mixup worse

I’m glad 99% of falco’s don’t employ these and are just dumb as a bag of bricks. Laser is complicated but using it is extremely easy and in order to counter it you have to put in a lot more effort to counter play it. From mid to low level play falcos just get away with the dumbest stuff.
I think saying “using laser is easy” kind of goes against the entire point of the video haha.
I totally agree that laser initially is much easier to use compared to how hard it is to defend against…but when you cross the point where most players are good at defending against it, it gets quite a bit harder all around

The video is a good idea but it is executed poorly will still like the video. U should ve wary of laser heights but these are not good examples. I could touch on this.
Crouching to powershield is not just marth and Samus this video is so wrong.
Samus and Marth are the only ones with glitched shields that don’t follow their model when they crouch or dash which is what I was specifically referring to. Not sure what you think I got wrong (happy to be corrected) but who else do you believe has this glitch?
My understanding was that the highest possible laser cannot be PS’d by marth… is this just wrong, or are both true?
