Nice potted history, thank you! It's our job to keep the spirit of Camel trophy alive!

It's a shame that the Camel Trophy no longer exists. I'm really interested in how it would look today and what 4x4 it would be driven with.

They sold a “defender trophy” version of the new defender! Which came with a chance to compete in some sort of event but I can’t recall seeing much about it. I believe the “defender trophy” defender 90 that was for sale at my local dealer is still there on the lot. They’re stupid expensive.

I remember seeing this so many times in the old NATIONAL GEOGRAHIC magazines.

If you''re going to make videos, make sure you are accurate, unbiased and protray only verifiable facts, here's a few that you failed on: The Series 3 fire, yes, started by a jounalist, but the vehicle was towed clear of the village so no other things were damaged, that is clearly visable in the film, so no decimated village. Land Rovers of that age are still one of the most reliable vehicles on the planet, mainly because there are a lot still avround, but they are only unreliable if not looked after which comes from people thinking they do not need looking after, they do, they need servicing, repairing replacing parts, just like any other vehicle. I personally ran a Discovery 1 for over 170,000 miles with the onlt things being replaced were an auto gearbox because the previous owners never serviced it, an axle, by choice as the swivel bearings had failed and it was easier to swap than fix as I needed it for a 1,700 mile trip leaving before parts whould have arrived and a prop doughnut. That was it. That vehicle is now on 255,000 miles. Nowhere can I find information to support the link you make of Camel and G4, in fact it wassponsored by Nike in initial competition run up.
Not likely to see a 2020 "Defender" in Sandglow? Yes, avsolutely as it is a special edition colour and was produced. It has also been retro produced and examples can be seen on the internet. Do a google search!
