Aaaah this song takes me back to the openness and freedom which was the Wind Waker and all this game stands for, best overworld music in my opinion of all the Zelda games!
After listening to the original Great Sea theme from Wind Waker, I figured out that the ending acoustic (4:50-5:23) was the background music in the very first introduction of the song. That was after listening, and listening, and a lot more listening.

Chuggaconroy, he had a legend of zelda majoras mask lp a while back and used this song in one of his videos so he wouldnt bore the audience with him doing the same thing over and over, its a great song.

The extra A was a result of a typo he kept, and he has been using his username for 14 years." That's what I read. Maybe he has multiple stories, or maybe I'm just completely wrong, but that's what I read.
damn, just yesterday I was thinking about how I should do an epic cover of this, and I started to look forward to it... great cover though. I was thinking along the same lines of adding a bunch of original stuff in, cause the original doesn't have that much to work with.
The overworld theme always was epic, but I always prefered the cursed ocean version after you visited greatfish isle. Y'know, the one that is laced with Ganondorf's theme? ah well, this mix brought back a lot of nostalgia, and didn't disapoint in the least.
chuggaaconroy--he used this in a Swamp Spider montage in episode 28 of Majora's mask. And it is a very awesome sound, so chuggaFans have to check out the source!

I came here with much trepidation, after the 'Lost Woods Dubstep Incident', which left me mentally scarred for life, but i can honestly say, while it's not the same as the original, it can't be, and while it doesn't quite live up to the standard of another artist's cover of this song, i can honestly say, 'good Enough'. jkjk, it's 'great'.
