And they couldn't make a story
I've always played a good character for some reason I couldn't bring myself to do most of the evil deeds on the Fable games. I've never seen the strike choice for the mercenary mission so that was a big shock to me how brutal it was.
Dude! I loved this game! You have to show an update to your status after you have 5 wives, a bunch of kids, and set the record for catching STDs.
Maybe it was just me but I had a wife in each of the main towns. AND if we were holding hands we were headed to the nearest empty bed. LOL!
While it didn't deliver on all the promises, Fable 1 still remains the best of the series. That said, I really enjoyed all 3 games. They were just fun, back in a time when games could just be fun, and not need deep story lines and crushing difficulties.

@@shyspacewolf4675 they absolutely did but it wasn't treated as a crime if they didn't nor were there as many games that tried to force it even when the writers/devs couldn't pull it off

It's pretty incredible to go back and look at what all was promised though lol it's insane to think anyone believed it
I remember in Fable 1 or 2(so long ago) the more evil deeds you did you would grow horns and people would cower from you and you had flies around your head. If you were good you'd have a halo and people would cheer when you walked by. If you were a stealth character and did your missions at night your skin was pale from lack of sunlight. If you did your mission during the day your skin would be tan. As you got older you tan skin would start to look rough.
That's fable 1. These games were impressive from the start.
The fact that you can fart and burp makes this game so much better
I loved all three fable games they literally got me into my favorite game genre rpgs and choice and consequence
Loved this game and the ability to just buy houses without visiting them physically 😂😂. Quite a few good additions and a few dumbed down things, but as a Fable Fan I still enjoyed it! Many improvements over the previous game and the world doesn't seem as empty or boring.
The hand holding is still ground breaking in 2023. Name me one, and I mean ONE other game that has a hand holding feature in it? I'll wait... 😂

My copy was actually a borrowed copy from someone who worked with my mom at the time and I loved it so much that the lady just let me have it cause I played it constantly back then lol

when this was first announced i remember the hand holding thing being a big deal like all games from now on will do this as its so revolutionary and ground breaking, the only other game i can think of doing it is ICO

the economy system was pretty cool, i remember going around and buying as much property as possible and then if you come back to the game days/weeks later you get all of the taxes. i can’t remember exactly how much money i got once but i hadn’t played in like over a year and when i came back it was an absurd amount lol. literally went around and bought every single shop and house possible
Really I thought you didn't collect money offline in Fable 3 and Fable 2 had a collecting cap I believe
I downloaded all three Fable games on my xbox series x, I am looking forward to playing them. I have only played Fable 2 back in the day.

21:13 I remember getting stuck here. Samuel wouldn't say a word. Complete hard lock, had to restart the entire campaign and start from scratch.
I overall enjoyed this game up to the point of becoming king or queen, after that it felt rushed and disappointing. This game should have allowed you to make more decisions especially after becoming king or queen
when I was playing this game, I most of the time go with the good options. BUT sometimes like 1 out of 10 decisions, I'll go evil just to be out of character. The npc is probably like "wth, what's wrong with you?"

i dunno about you guys, but fable 3 is my favorite, not that i like the others any less but i grew up with this one :)

@@kitsu3025 WRPG gamers are suffering. Witcher trilogy over, no Elder Scrolls VI in sight, probably not even one line of code has been written for Fable yet. I'm really getting tired of the waiting, been 10+ years for most of these series and most other games releasing in the meantime have not held my attention

Sometimes the bad option isnt the best one to chose if you want to be a little evil.
Keeping Saker alive keeps the mercenaries there which adds prostitutes to that area
Also keeping the chickens alive adds chicken race gambling
You should look into this 2004 action rpg called "Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines" the original game that's on steam is a buggy mess but there's an unofficial patch that can run the game on modern systems bug free and at 1080p 60 fps
This is 4K and I think runs in 60fps on the Series X

I became king, made everyone happy and exhausted the entire funds on them to the point it back fired and got almost the entire country killed. Still had max good karma but everyone hated me lol.

That is the problem with 5g you have to have transmitters every 40 feet in order for it to be feasible. watch mrwhostheboss video he explains the problem real well
I don’t think it was the game that was terrible, nor the mechanics. I think it’s the art style that killed this game tbh. The first 2 fables were cartoonish and vibrant. Then there’s fable 3….
Fable was such a ridiculously cheesy franchise that only got more ridiculously cheesy with each instalment. Which would be fine, except it never seemed willing to entirely commit to its own ridiculous cheesiness and kept trying to be taken seriously.
I'm guessing you torrented this, as it is pretty much impossible to buy this game now on PC
I felt Fable 3 was such a let-down. The second half of the game had very minimal gameplay until the very end.

there is even a place to "sacrifice your wife/husband" to be more evil...
also if you truly wanna break the game, yet still be evil, evict everyone before you become king/queen in all the lands making everyone homeless, but put several billions into the kingdom vault. 1 gold = 1 person saved, so filling it with like 30 billion makes the crowds so big your game glitches 🤣🤣
