Personally I think this game has one of the best openings I’ve played in awhile. My jaw was pretty much on the floor the entire time, really did a good job of immersing me and selling the world to me which a lot of games try to do later on. The game massively benefits from that IMO
Game has a 10/10 world building, setting and premise. I found the combat, and dialogue mid. Game just loves to fill every little moment with way too much dialogue.

I aim for the head, use fully charged heavy attacks, and it gets the job done, and I found it to be very fun. I also use the environment to my advantage, the AI is bad sometimes, getting stuck on certain things, and I just bash them in the head early game. Later, you become ridiculously strong, like a Jedi Knight type of stuff.
The pacing looks so ridiculously fast and i kinda like it. Sometimes i just want action with some quick info in between right before i get shot at again
I am glad this game gets some positive coverage. Too many people just look at flaws. I play it with russian audio and it is so good. I love the russian acting. The english does suck though
According to MortismalGaming in his review, the devs told him that the game is actually DESIGNED to be played with Russian audio, which explains why the VO kinda sucks for every other language. Strange it's not on by default though, or that they didn't at least get English VO artists with Russian accents.

As someone who knows NOTHING about this game other then this video now. It's got a real Bioshock vibe. I can see people enjoying it. Personally I'm not a Bioshock kinda guy. I think it's a great franchise. But I'd have to play this game as its own thing.

my solution was to switch the spoken language to russian and put english subtitles on. then i don’t even read subtitles a lot of the time so it’s more immersive

Enough of Black Mesa commute intros. That said, the world looks amazing.

i’ve noticed that the game auto saves too but only when you’re underground or on a mission. if you’re in the open world and die then you truly go back to your last save point
I love that mechanic! Makes it more immersive and strategic, planning your playstyle carefully. It's old school too so it's another reason I like it. I always play on the hardest difficulty, so things like that makes the game more suspenseful.
By time I got out of the facility to the outside I realized that listening to game in Russian with English subtitles so I could follow along made it WAY better. The english voice acting was painfully bad.

You can really tell that the English dialogue wasn't the original voice acting. It was kinda... not good. I don't speak Russian so I can't say for sure the original voice acting is better... but it's gotta be. Lol.

Never been a great fan of the 'save point' save mechanic.
i’ve noticed that the game auto saves too but only when you’re underground or on a mission. if you’re in the open world and die then you truly go back to your last save point
I love that mechanic! Makes it more immersive and strategic, planning your playstyle carefully. It's old school too so it's another reason I like it. I always play on the hardest difficulty, so things like that makes the game more suspenseful.
By time I got out of the facility to the outside I realized that listening to game in Russian with English subtitles so I could follow along made it WAY better. The english voice acting was painfully bad.
