A common Theory among us Hazbin Fans is that Stolas' song is the prediction of the end times, where Hell will collapse and creation dies, and all that will remain are the children of these Gods and Devils, who will begin creation anew.
Annndd, Octavia has the “key” to that creation. The light (the possibility, the spark, the tiny chance of life) is in her eyes. “You came and stole away the light and put it in your eyes”. Octavia is holding the key to the possible creation of a new “CREATION” [when creation goes to die] in her eyes, (as seen in the animation, her eyes are light), and THAT is why Stolas is telling Octavia “you will be okay” (even though creation as they know it is ‘dying’ and even though their home, LITERAL HELL, is collapsing and Stolas is gone, OCTAVIA will still be okay.)

Well I mean Stolas is a hellborn demon I believe, meaning he has longevity and even then if he were to die, he’d probably just end up being in hell anyways. I believe hellborns are immortal iirc, but the idea you have is a great one tbh. So, given the unlikelihood of Stolas’ death, I feel Octavia’s reprise of the song at one point would be poetic in nature and would help provide her with a great deal of character development

Revamped lyrics because to be honest the old mistakes triggered me sorry-
"You came and stole away the light and put it in your eyes" always gives me goosebumps. It's a shame the second verse couldn't be put into the episode. I really think it emphasizes just how much Stolas loves his daughter. How she is literally everything to him. Plus, I'm a sucker for flowery language like that.

Revisiting this after Circus. God, Stolas loves Octavia so damn much. The abuse he endured so she can have a normal homelife, the way she was likely the only source of love and affection he had in that palace. She’s the one good thing that came out of his marriage. This song hit me like a truck, like we were still getting a read in the series bc we only had the pilot and first episode to go off, then this comes in and you are just like “wow”
Right? All we had from stolas so far was him speaking vulgar into a phone for 20 minutes straight and some bits, and then all this emotion and character definition killed me
When I first watched this episode, I had JUST finished watching this song when I got a call that my grandmother had just died. She was an absolutely unbelievably incredible woman. When she died, it wasn't a massive surprise. She had been on a downhill spiral for a while. If anything, it was a relief that she wasn't suffering anymore. And, she got to join her Baptist Minister husband up in Heaven.
But still, the news hit me hard, as it of course would. And this song was stuck in my head. I went back and listened to it over and over again just crying my eyes out. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. It felt like a message to me. It makes me a strange sort of happy and emotional to get to hear an even more beautiful rendition of this song.
I'm crying my eyes out right now again, months later. But, it's okay. Thank you for this. You are incredible.

honestly this reads like the guy who would sing this is utterly depressed and hold onto his daughter as his only solace. Which makes his relationship with Blitz even messier: with Blitz, he thought love could after all be fun, but he leaned way too much into the "fun" and now we know it can't keep going like this, and Blitz don't know the sheer desperation behind the facade of lust that Stolas shows him. For a brief moment Stolas had not just a daughter but also a lover, and he was super excited, but now, he might lose both because of how reckless he's been in his excitement. I'm worried for him.

As much as I LOVE this cover, I am wondering: why do you say “seven hells” instead of “seven rings”? I mean, it still works and it sounds awesome coming from your pipes, but it always takes me out of it for half a second.
The original song said 7 hells , but they changed it in the show to avoid contradiction (since its all 1 hella of a hell not 7 in the show)
