Annndd, Octavia has the “key” to that creation. The light (the possibility, the spark, the tiny chance of life) is in her eyes. “You came and stole away the light and put it in your eyes”. Octavia is holding the key to the possible creation of a new “CREATION” [when creation goes to die] in her eyes, (as seen in the animation, her eyes are light), and THAT is why Stolas is telling Octavia “you will be okay” (even though creation as they know it is ‘dying’ and even though their home, LITERAL HELL, is collapsing and Stolas is gone, OCTAVIA will still be okay.)

Well I mean Stolas is a hellborn demon I believe, meaning he has longevity and even then if he were to die, he’d probably just end up being in hell anyways. I believe hellborns are immortal iirc, but the idea you have is a great one tbh. So, given the unlikelihood of Stolas’ death, I feel Octavia’s reprise of the song at one point would be poetic in nature and would help provide her with a great deal of character development

When I first watched this episode, I had JUST finished watching this song when I got a call that my grandmother had just died. She was an absolutely unbelievably incredible woman. When she died, it wasn't a massive surprise. She had been on a downhill spiral for a while. If anything, it was a relief that she wasn't suffering anymore. And, she got to join her Baptist Minister husband up in Heaven. But still, the news hit me hard, as it of course would. And this song was stuck in my head. I went back and listened to it over and over again just crying my eyes out. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. It felt like a message to me. It makes me a strange sort of happy and emotional to get to hear an even more beautiful rendition of this song. I'm crying my eyes out right now again, months later. But, it's okay. Revisiting this after Circus. God, Stolas loves Octavia so damn much. The abuse he endured so she can have a normal homelife, the way she was likely the only source of love and affection he had in that palace. She’s the one good thing that came out of his marriage. Ok, so I was not expecting to be moved to tears. To realize how touch starved a 28 year old man can be. This is likely my favorite song by this talented man that managed to evoke the delicate sense of a tender and loving father. He owes me a big ass hug to fix my sheer emotional imbalance

Gotta disagree on that. Stolas’ voice is a bit higher-pitched overall, a bit thinner. I’m not knocking Caleb, of course. His voice might be way more booming, but he pulls this song off wonderfully.

And, she got to join her Baptist Minister husband up in Heaven.
But still, the news hit me hard, as it of course would. And this song was stuck in my head. I went back and listened to it over and over again just crying my eyes out. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. It felt like a message to me. It makes me a strange sort of happy and emotional to get to hear an even more beautiful rendition of this song.
I'm crying my eyes out right now again, months later. But, it's okay. Thank you for this. You are incredible.
