Love the comparison as you pick up on some differences others don't realize. But the real reason they didn't use the terms is because it is a trademark and they have gone after other companies that use it.
Jubilee is a Rolex trademark I imagine, so Tudor (or anyone) are not allowed to use the name. Its like the Rolex being called a Day Date, but the Tudor is called a Date Day. Jubilee Style lol. Well done on noticing it now has 21mm lug width. Almost all TH-camrs missed that when it first came out! I would highly recommend Tudor specific (they have very small entry points) Bergeon spring bar tweezers if you are taking Tudor bracelets on and off. Work faultlessly!
@@HawaiianHorology Do you have the Tudor specific tweezers? Mine hold the Tudor spring bars perfectly in and out. Maybe I have just been lucky. They have slipped on other watches, but I have a regular sized Horotec pair too now.
@@HawaiianHorology Is your tool 'Tweezers' (maybe that's not an American word?) or just a straight tool? The Bergeon one I have is 7825. Not so sure it is actually Tudor specific, but the ends are noticeably smaller in both width and depth to the Horotec ones I just got.
Sounds like the experience at Ben Bridge Timeworks is highly dependent on the salesperson. This past December I worked with Ernest & couldn’t have had a better experience when I purchased my Grand Seiko. I’ve recommended him multiple times since.
I dislike the new direction Timeworks went in Ala Moana. So much less personable now too with the new crew. I want that new burgundy black bay though. What is your favorite watch store now?
I really like the Rolex store in Ala Moana and at international market place. One of the best is the Omega boutique in Ala Moana they are always friendly and they even gave my kids a coloring book and color pencils the last time we were there!
Yeah it's a bit pricy but I think it's worth it, but if you already have the oyster the you probably don't need it. Hopefully they come out with an updated black bay GMT with a 5-link this year
I've never bought anything from Ben Bridge at Ala Moana, but I've been there to look at watches. I first went in to look at what Tudor watches they had. Their selection was limited and the associate told me they had no control of what watches they receive from Tudor. Another time a security guard told us we had to wait to go inside because the two available associates were busy helping other customers. We waited a few minutes and then left. The Omega boutique is my favorite place to shop for watches in Honolulu. I've always been treated very well and they are well stocked. And, apparently unlike Ben Bridge, all of their staff can swap out bracelets and make adjustments. Aloha! 🤙
I think they may have sold you a fake. I would go elsewhere and take a look. I have the 2023 black bay and it had the half moon not the teardrop like yours. I purchased mine from a tutor boutique here in the US
Thanks for the help I believe mine is genuine. I saw your video about the bracelet and I see the difference but I bought the bracelet from an authorized dealer I think they are just different from the different models but next time I'm at the AD I'll check

Yeah I remember a while ago strapcode had to change their name of the bracelets becasue of this. Thanks for watching!
Am thinking to buy it am a bit confused between the jubilee bracelet or rubber strap…! Plz do give advice

Yeah I have the bergeon tool but I'm still not that good at putting it back on but I can take it off with easy lol. Thanks for watching and commenting

I think my tool is for Rolex if I'm not mistaken, but I think I just need more practice changing out bracelets lol

I have the same one the 7825 and I agree the tips are a bit shallow

I'm glad you had a good experience the last time I went in they were very pleasant and friendly when I went in to try a Norqain and some Grand Seikos
Thanks for the comparison and the video! It’s not a jubilee but it’s jubileeesque
or maybe jubilish lol
Considering swapping my black bay chrono white dial for this
If you want something slimmer and easier to wear the go for it! But that would be a perfect 2 watch collection!

I agree excellent service at the Ben Bridge Rolex but Timeworks not so much.
Yeah i agree the Rolex store is awesome!
How much is the bracelet ?
it was about 1000 usd
That's why you always buy the watch on the bracelet.
great advice
Why not just call it a Tudor Jubilee? That is their interpretation of a Jubilee style.
yeah they should!
I like the links on the tutor better than the Rolex!
great choice!
Oof 1k for the 5link, i have the oyster and thought about getting one. Thanks

@@HawaiianHorologydo you know price for the Tudor black rubber strap?
I think it's around 700-800

I totally agree about the Omega boutique they are awesome hopefully they will call me soon for the snoopy speedy lol. Thanks for watching!
Protect your neck.
Shaolin style!

I’m thinking I may be wrong because mine is a non-diver so maybe they are a bit different. Something worth looking into.

$1000. Damn that's a lot
Yeah but I think it worth it.
quit moving watches around in your hands, can’t see the detail.
sorry!

Forever!
Honestly I think the new Tudor Black Bay belongs best on the Oyster anyway! Simple elegant powerful …
it does look awesome on the oyster too
Except tha isn’t an oyster. It’s a “3 link” according to Chewdor 😂
