Great review. I’m excited about the improvements in this watch. It seems like Tudor is listening to the community and making great refinements. Love the burgundy, but I’m waiting to see if they do the blue bezel next year.
I felt the same about the black bay burgundy just like you but never pulled the trigger because it wasn’t quite right - the same goes for other Tudor pieces in general for that matter. I always liked the brand and what they’ve been doing, but never really loved any one of their watches enough to actually add to my collection. Now however, the time has come and I just knew right away when was released that it was the perfect one for me… the one I had been hoping and waiting for. Picked mine up last weekend and couldn’t be happier, just love it! 🤩
Nice chat and review, thanks. This is my current favourite watch. It is the first Tudor I really like, great spec - the lack of text on the dial helps a lot - and the jubilee looks like a perfect match for it. Cheers!
Excellent discussion on the new Black Bay! One other thing I noticed regarding the crown tube is it doesn't stick out as far as the old one did. I guess before they made it longer to show off the color that was matched to the bezel.
I still don't understand why Tudor won't make this exact watch in BB58 size. That's what i want. The burgandy bezel feels to me to be THE on brand Tudor watch. Tudor are Black, White and red
Thanks for great review - it was succinct and full of personal observations rather than repeating a specification sheet. One question: Does the fine link bracelet get rid of the faux rivets?
I picked it up in 2023 and enjoyed it, but it didn’t have a glide or T-fit and it is the only thing I didn’t like. I bought a jubilee from Uncle. Now I’m looking to change the strap to a ZEALANDE strap with deployment clasp. I have the Tudor BBgmt opaline dial and picked up the ZEALANDE with deployment clasp and oh boy what a difference.
Great video and insights, would love to see Zach talking about Tudors more often. With that said, I wish we got to see more wrist shots to get a more complete perspective on how this gorgeous watch might look on the wrist IRL.
I'm all for Zach Kazan getting to do more Tudor videos. I coincidentally watched the WatchCrunch video on this watch just yesterday, but the Oyster bracelet version. It's interesting to compare the two thoughts about picking each of those bracelet options. I've tried this one on, but I recall it was on the Oyster style. I would have a tough time picking between the two. I really love what they did with this model refresh though, and hope to see it on the BB58 and GMT model within the next couple years. I had totally ruled out the previous version of this watch as wearing too thick upon trying it on. The BB GMT had some upper cuts in the case side that helped it a bit, but between the minimal clasp adjustment, let alone T-fit, I wasn't completely sold on it. If they implemented all these refinements on the GMT, I'd have to revisit it. I also am curious to see if/when they'll expand the colorways on this one. I like the burgundy, but think either a blue or the black/gilt would be a more versatile option for me personally. I'm excited to see if they expand the METAS certifications further in the brand. I'm sure they will, but the question will be how quickly.
Agree on the GMT,sold mine because I could not get a good fit and it was top heavy. Tudor said at W&W that they will make all their watches Metascertified in the future 👍
Excellent review! I got sucked in for the exact reasons you did vs the previous version. They didn’t just shave off that mm, the finishing has it appearing like more than that mm. The 5 link is the one I had to have, but the waiting list was long. I impatiently bought it on 3 link, felt for it, and ultimately traded out for the 5 link. It’s much more comfortable, and the shorter links work better with T-Fit. Keep up the great work!
I picked mine up today. The local Tudor boutique got it in yesterday, lucky timing on my part. The sunburst dial looks good in direct sunlight, hard to capture on camera. It wears similar to my Omega Seamaster 300 Diver though I put that on a NATO strap since the OEM bracelet was not comfortable for me.
If I've made new BB41 Burgundy review, it would be exactly the same. My first Tudor and definitely a keeper. Actually if they would add a date to this watch and possibly (altough not essenstial) ceramic bezel, it would probably be my one and only watch.
I alos like the changes they did in the bezel. Looks like the teeth are more pronounced. This is going to be my first watch! Also going to go for the 5 link
@@SIZZO76 so what, some people prefer a watch that ages?. Vintage watches with faded bezels and creamy coloured lume plots are very desirable, you’ll never get that aspect with ceramic watches which is a shame.
Great vid! Love that the METAS certification makes this a “2 liner” Can’t wait for METAS certification to roll out to the rest of the lineup for this reason alone
@@wornandwound awesome! The “Jubilee” looks great but its not a deal-breaker for me not to have. What’s the “plain” black version of this called? Is it also upgraded to be as “thin” as this?
Absolutely love the face. Love the bezel. Love the bracelet. Absolutely despise the chunky case on these tudors. If it was around 12mm I would buy it in a heartbeat. But they wear like 15mm which is really disappointing for a watch that just tells time and have absolutely no compilations. Also I have so many friends buying tudors complaining about really bad quality control and bezel not lining up… I’m sticking to longines.
I have the original, wish I could see the original and this new model side by side to see the difference in case thickness, that original was way too thick.
I'm sorry to post this but when you open the case to the BB... it sucks inside. It god awful ugly compared to omega, gs, rolex, etc. In the end, you get what you pay for. BB people are cheap rolex want to be.
Great job Zach! Get this guy his own Tudor series!
Just purchased this watch two weeks ago. Absolutely love it and havnt worn my DJ41 since.

I’m staying to save up for my Tudor black bay 41 mm red with a jubilee bracelet

me too; bracelet was always an issue for me and it was too thick. With the Jubilee it kind of scratches the GMT master 2 itch on a budget as well...

Keep reviewing Zach Kazan!!!
Will do!
The Tudor fits you really great. I really consider that watch for myself too. Keep the Tudor series coming'

Great show Zach! Not only do you need to do more Tudor but also need a proper photo shoot
I’ve got one, and they’re very special. Mine stays on winder most of the time next to my Submariner, but when it comes out it is a real show stopper.
I bought the Burgundy 3 weeks ago...fantastic watch from Lunns ,Belfast
Never been interested in any Tudor, until now. This is nice.
We need to see more of this from you on here!

I love the Black Bay. My only gripe is it doesn't have a date, which I prefer. I believe the only model with a date is the S&G 41
This is gunna be my next watch for sure I have a omega plant ocean and a Tudor 58 blue this just works for me that’s for sure great video
Very well done review. Tudor is one of my favorite brands. 😊
Thanks for watching!
More Zach please!!!!!!! Excellent video. Cheers.
You got it!
Best Tudor Black Bay in my Opinion😁

Hope they bring the new five link bracelet to the other models as well!
Waiting to see this in different colors. Its inevitable.

I hope they give this design to the bb 54 at some point too. I'd buy one tomorrow.
Just got mine today. Love it!
Great to hear!
Love you on camera 🎉🎉🎉
Great video and awesome choice of timepiece!
Thank you kindly!
Probably my second favorite Tudor behind the BB58 navy blue.

this will be my first luxiery watch.. i hope, its not too small for my 8 inch wrist
Well done!!!
Excellent review!
Thanks!
Crazy that one has to put one's name on a waiting list for a Tudor... well, that's how I got my bb54
I'm dying for Harrod's to get the green version of this!
Great review! Thx
Glad it was helpful!
A Rolex in everything but name & price, beautiful watch and incredible value. Tudor putting the squeeze on Omega from below for sure.
The aluminum bezel will fade😂😂😂😂
Tudor is nowhere near the level of OMEGA STOP IT😂😂😂😂😂
Tudor is a fake Rolex 😂😂😂😂
@@SIZZO76 you are thick

Great video, great watch!
This watch demands a S&G bracelet. Would be incredible.
Nice review
What size is your wrist?
Is the lume still that custard colour like 58 or white is hard to tell
How is the accuracy?
I own a Gmt Master ² and i prefer the Black Bay Burgundy for its esthetics 7n days a week
whats the cool wall clock with the red case?
Mondaine- they make officially-licensed watches and clocks using the design from Swiss Railways.
Right move would be to make this a BB 54 colour option.
Great vid!
Love that the METAS certification makes this a “2 liner”
Can’t wait for METAS certification to roll out to the rest of the lineup for this reason alone
Fingers crossed!
Can not get the right fit😢 on my 15.5cm wrist.
Thanks for posting the video. For me Tudor does the same each year. Same old tudor in diffrent colour.
Dumb question but is there a black version of the Black Bay Burgundy?
On this bracelet, not yet!

My friends Pelagos had to go back for a wonky bezel fix.
@@mrnoisy4883 it seems like it happens everywhere now. Awful QC.
A cream dial and a GMT hand would wreck, too.

The case of this one is very similar to the new Rolex explorer 2.
Still no drilled lugs...
Keep this guy on. I won't type the rest..
That aluminum bezel is going to FADE😂😂😂😂
Tudor has waitlists, now? You kidding me?
😬
Türk müsün hacı abi?
Burgundy or monochrome ?
The Rose stamp on the crown looks cheap and undefined. On the BB Chrono Steel 2017 it is sharp and nice looking.
Agree! I’m wondering if Tudors fit and finish is going downhill, doesn’t look as good as my 58.
Looks fine to me in person 🤷🏻♂️ maybe just not as deep and dark of engraving.
Rolex Sub 300 m WR 12.4 mm thin
Tudor bb58 200 m WR 11.9 mm thin
Tudor bb41 200 m WR 13.6 mm thick
Why, oh, why Tudor?
Thanks for the vid, man.

You couldn't be any further from the truth. Do some research on tudor.
Shame it is still 41.
Still way too thick !🥴
Nonsense, try one on.
Have you worn it in person? I’m guessing not or you wouldn’t have commented that, it’s great. Very similar size and feel to the Rolex explorer 2.
Too thick
