I admit that I’ve always found her FA counterpart far more entertaining and interesting, but I’ll always credit this character for setting the foundation for that.
One of the few Ravens to hire you and NOT betray you later. It's a shame she didn't show up or even be referenced after this game, though Amber Crown is referenced later on one of AC2AA's mission maps.
I feel that given she seems to be the type to take on the supportive/recon roles in missions, her AC is pretty well suited for such goals. Her AC being incredibly quick lets her engage in as little confrontation as possible, her head is a great mix of lightweight and with radar functions, and the pixie 3 is a perfect all-purpose weapon with a massive ammo pool, allowing her to complete long missions without strapping on other heavier weaponry. Ammo costs probably don't concern her much given how much wealth she already has in outright paying the Raven for personal hire. it definitely could be upgraded for this job, maybe a better head or a back mounted radar, but for general purpose missions that don't include AC fights, it's sufficient for her roles in missions. this would also explain why she's not even in the Arena like many other ACs despite being a skilled pilot. Confrontation against other ACs isn't really what her AC is suited for
She has 1400 (kilos I'm assuming) in free weight on her AC. Bare minimum, she should invest in a blade. Next I'd say upgrade to the best boosters she can get. A radar and basic small missile pack or some rockets would round out the design. Yes it's a scout/recon AC, but that just means that she should be focused on high mobility and being able to quickly take down interceptor units so she can run if the situation calls for it. (If we talk about the Gen3 remake, then I'd say either antimissiles or stealth extensions. Or go nuts and get the energy condenser and BAIL using OB if things get too sketchy)
Great breakdown on Sumika. Though when she was talking about grafting computers to a brain, it makes it sound like a prototype version of Human Plus. Being a test subject like Stinger along with her AC being developed by Murakumo makes me think this took place during the events of AC1 but parallel. Nevertheless, great informative video as always 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
@@vhaneinhander1834 That is very true. Have you seen the drawings of the ravens from AC1 from the data book on the game. They can be seen on reddit www.reddit.com/r/armoredcore/comments/xgw2oo/translations_from_the_armored_core_official_data/
Might be pulling a rabbit out of my ass but the surname "Juutilainen" might be a reference to "Ilmari Juutilainen" who was the most successful Finnish fighter pilot during WW2.
Strike Witches/World Witches brainrot had me thinking of Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen when I saw Sumika's surname lol. They were both named after the famous Finnish pilot. Also is this where Kasumi Sumika's surname comes from?
Coral star itself comes from armored core nexus; the logo of the ac is from AC wiki and as for the shadow lady it is from the game SD Gundam g generations Cross rays. One of the custom female characters which i edited.

Sound fair in my books.

True and I'll have to try and find that mission.
I think the operator from For Answer (also named Sumika) and her pink Next are supposed to be a reference to her

For a skilled Raven I'm still stunned she still sticks to a GPAC instead of using an ordinary AC.
Could be a personal choice after all she could afford it.
@@armoredcorelore very good point

Thank you and it is possible after all if Masters of arena can be parallel why not Project phantasma?
PP event take place 2 years before AC1
It would be nice to meet her again at some point, but I feel like that is just a dream. She was a reliable partner tho
Sumika was a cool partner/employer for the raven. Maybe in another game we'll get someone like her who does what she does.
I had no idea Armored Core had such depth to it's lore
Yep. All fun to dig up.
i love ac been wanting to draw fan art of the female pilots. thanks for the lore
Thank you and i wish you luck with your drawing.
@@armoredcorelore thanks! Though it can be hard to find detailed images of the pilots but I'm a try anyway.

It is very possible Oishii after all we have lynx and thier ac's sharing names with French revolution historical figures and dates.
Always liked the look of her AC in project phantasma. Plus it's got a cool name in my opinion.
It's a neat craft, i just wished i could have piloted it for the video.
She is an intresting Character Sumika nice work man
Thank you.
Ah yes, the first character who ended up evolving into our operator for the rest of the AC series.
just found this channel and happy I did! very comfy

Well done!
