It is sad that Chrome and Murakumo has entirely vanished in AC 2 and any mention is sparse; wished we could have seen more of these two corporations. Maybe whatever assets left from them got acquired by Zio Matrix, Balena, and Emeraude; like how Omer absorbed the remnants of Rayleonard.
There are still references to them in AC2 and AA, though barely in the latter case. Murakumo is stated to be the one who created/discovered the pre-war Mars Emigration Project, and even apparently got started on it before falling through, the Murakumo Dome is clearly a reference to them. Chrome sadly gets almost nothing, though I think a mission map or two show an "Old Chrome Base/Fortress" in AC2AA. That's as much as they get however, aside from the remake missions in Nexus. In any case, Zio Matrix and Emeraude seem to be the spiritual successors to Murakumo and Chrome respectively, in regards to their outlook and the technology/methods they employ.
I casually glanced down when I was scrolling on my phone and I thought that image on the thumbnail was South America, then I realized that "shape" was a girl.
CHAOS is an AC type from Armored Core Official Guide and Mechanical Guidance. The CHOAS is developed from AC Vixen. The term MT for CHAOS only appear on NA version of the game. Japanese version and prototype disc never refer it as MT.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Murakumo is far from perfect, especially if Chrome starts winning, but generally Murakumo is far better and I’ll always support them over Chrome. Chrome comes across as so condescending to the average worker and to the Ravens they hire.
No argument here from me, it quite clear between the two evils Murakumo is at least a bit more human, well apart from the kidnapping and human alterations. But as you say not perfect.
To be fair to Chrome, if you do well for them, they do state that they should reconsider their opinion of Ravens being just "convenient throwaways". Some of the better parts come from their missions, and considering Chrome chooses to just fight to the end with what they have left, as opposed to having the whole world at gunpoint, I'd say Chrome was still less evil. They were ruthless, but they were at least honest about it.
I would love to see a mature series based on armored core(I wouldn't be the first). The companies, economic powers that hold control over almost all the political structure and daily lives of the people living within their sphere of influence, the raven organization whos pilots choices decides whos friend or foe with its own system of control/regulation. I could go on but the AC series has such a rich background and while we're not given much info at first glance( a Fromsoft signature)it's more than enough to build a great series around.

I've never heard of this game or ever searched it up. Why is this in my recommendations?!?! Literally has no bearing on me or immediate entertainment value to me. Well, not gonna stop me from watching it. TH-cam truly underestimates my attention span. Live commentary as I'm watching: AYOO THEY GOT JESUS WATER WALKING GUNDAMS AND PLASMA GUNS AND TERRORISTS!! Oh, that last one isn't really good, is it... "Fire at will at any *attractive* target." ICBMs at the ready, Sir!
@@armoredcorelore what are you doing?! Don't waste time replying! You gotta make more content. You gotta explore the armored core lore. (ik ik, my rhyming is on point)
No sadly not. Its just nexus got a bonus disk with it that went into more details about the events and the player could replay certain levels from the old games in the engine of the nexus game. So better graphics and the use of nexus parts.
You keep mentioning armored core nexus in this video and in the one for murakumo. But you don’t mention them at all in the video for nexus. How are they connected?
Good question and the answer is that ac nexus came with another disk of remade levels from old games with more lore about them. Really there is not connection to the nexus game itself, but these remade levels on the other disk it came with explored the levels and story more of the timeline where chrome was active.
i can't believe google chrome would do this

@@foenrik8941 thanks for the insight
I always got a Murakumo vibe from Zeo Matrix. I imagine the execs are of the same lineage
According to the lore video on Zio Matrix, Zio was a Murakumo subsidiary, which is why they were the ones to find the Mars project.

Hmm well this certain isn't what i expected to read this afternoon. Neat.

Neat learn something new every day.
That does make more sense. Good to know.
Chrome's operator look like Fio from Metal Slug.
Yeah i see it. And metal slug, some good times.

Funny that you say that, because it came across in my game like Murakamo was the clear antagonist among Not Bad Guys in my playthrough.
"Were they right?" I dunno fam, but they do get points for not trying to use a literal death star.
Yeah murakumo already had that, so guess it was a case of don't copy my homework.
That Chrome operator 😍
Well, it's good to know for research purposes.
Eh, Lana Nielsen is sexier.
During my initial playthroughs of these games I was 100% on Chromes side
That's fair.
Chrome are lunatics, but their operator is a cutie.
I'm still on that AC Biz, I can't wait to play the games again
I hope you have a fun time fellow raven.
So... Construct Engine became a super evil giant corporation in the future.
Yes and instead of making 2d games they took over cities and made ac's to keep that power.

You're the only one who makes these kind of videos on TH-cam. You must be very hyped for the new armored core game don't you?
I am looking forward to the new game when it comes, but i like ac in general and its history is just something that took my interest.

It has been years since I last played Nexus is it really a continuation of the first game??
No sadly not. Its just nexus got a bonus disk with it that went into more details about the events and the player could replay certain levels from the old games in the engine of the nexus game. So better graphics and the use of nexus parts.
