You gotta think that is was a combo of his body's conditioning and the most intense and advanced forms of sports science to expedite recovery. They did not just whack and icepack on his knee and give him pain pills.

@@SheckleRFan715 Not really, if the injury is minor I just wait for the reports the following days. This one was hard to watch but I wanted to see this man's opinion instantly, I wasn't subscribed but I remembered he is quick and very thorough with his analyst.
It was kind of a sort of comfort to understand or have someone's medical opinion instead of waiting days to hear anything.
Anytime Doc says, "appreciate". He is about to show you something nasty.

@@MrKpy86 Actually, it fits very well! Appreciate means to recognize the full worth/value of something, and also it means to understand completely. I believe because we usually use "appreciate" in a positive/happy connotation, it sounds weird, but when you take note of the actual definition of appreciate, he used the word 100% correctly. The 2nd angle he showed of the hyper extension showed just how severe it was.
You can tell Brian had to write a ton of essays, because that's something we do in essays. It's almost always better to use words that aren't in every day vocabulary, because it shows your mastery over synonyms, etc... as well as how diverse your wordbank is. Sometimes, all that English prep/knowledge sticks with you.
It is definitely a weird term, but context matters. In med school, it was used a lot, even in lectures especially when looking at imaging or histology slides "We can appreciate....(Insert whatever they wanted to highlight)"

@@reyhanrahem4337 when players are tired they're less precise with their movements. Fatigue definitely could've led to Trae Young stepping back onto the refs foot. Fatigue definitely could've contributed to this injury too.

As soon as I see it, I knew the hyperextension was worse than Embiid's. Even if Giannis is lucky to just get a bruised knee, he can still miss 2-3 weeks so he might not be back for the remaining games of the playoffs uncluding the Finals if they make it that far. You hate to see this happen especially when you are this close to the championship.

Not being a free agent destination, lack of draft capital, lack of depth, Bud being Bud, horrible salary cap situation, and other teams improving faster than normal. Bucks window is sadly closing.

Giannis and the bucks fought their butts off to beat the nets (as a bucks fan I’m sorry to the nets for the injuries). When they finally get a shot at the finals, this happens. This is terrible. I really wanted Giannis to win this ring. This really brings my hopes down. I really don’t have any words to say how this feels. It doesn’t feel real. Injuries suck man. Playoffs are gonna be boring if this effects him too much. I still have faith that he will make a recovery. Props to the hawks for handling the injury well. Prayers up.

The only real issue I saw with his performance (excluding Game 1) was how quickly he would get tired. I don't think people realize how insane a man that just came back from an injury and averaged 35/13/5 on 60 percent from the field is... when he would come out of the game to catch his breath. The man is insane.

He is 99% done this Post season. Don't need a doctor to tell you that.
One thing i noticed is that although his upper body is really muscular, giannis has pretty slim legs(maybe cuz of genetics or just being 7 feet tall). Compare his legs to lebron who has tree trunks, and I think this might be a factor why giannis got injured here. Anyways prayers up for the Greek hope he gets back stronger at least this series 🙏
It was a "freak" injury. Anyone who has their leg pushed inward before landing would have same thing happen. I think what made this worse was Giannis was trying to avoid landing on the right leg with much weight because that's where the most traffic was. So he put more weight than usual on his left leg as a result, and that made the hyper-extension worse.
This just a freak accident..it happens sometimes and it sucks

@@wave3x660 Collision in short right field, second basement clipped him which made him spin and land really badly..fracture in his ankle or lower leg, plus a dislocation. Lots of clips of it on here, looks pretty brutal..

Definitely disagree with completely disregarding fatigue here. There were reports that said his left calf was sore. I think if he landed on plantar flexion it would've definitely helped prevent that hyper extension on the knee. Also, the gastrocnemius helps knee flexion.

Brian I actually did this same thing today. I felt pain instantly inside my knee but once I got up and started walking it wasn’t as painful as it was. Could there be something wrong?

You can usually walk around pretty easily after ligament damage
If I felt pain instantly I'd rest for a week even if I felt ok next day. Maybe you at least weakened some ligaments
If it swells, go to a doctor and get scans done. Youre knee is not like your ankle where you can roll it all the time and bruise it and hurt it and its fine, you can easily permanently injure your knee
