The punch Canelo landed on Saunders was absolutely perfect. Canelo even said after the fight that he felt Saunders' cheek break and he knew Saunders wouldn't return for round 9, that's why he started celebrating before the announcement. No, you and every other dum dum without an iota of discernment or capacity for critical thought saw a big bold shit-stirring headline emphasizing "BJS disrespects MEXICAN reporter!!!??" and just ran with it from there, ignoring that the nature of the disrespect wasn't even specifically racial (is there a racist connotation of Hispanics having poor oral hygiene I'm unaware of)? It's a bad habit; if you go to any decent gym for boxing lessons one of the first things they teach you is "you can bend a little, tuck your chin down but most of the movement when you dodge punches is from your legs, bend that knees or you gona move into an uppercut". Some guys do that bc they are very fast like Saunders and they line forward very rapidly to get caught but, Canelo was searching for that punch since the beggining of the fact bc he's good enough and he has a great trainer. Doctor thank you for the great explanation and visuals of Saunder's injury. This blow was traumatic enough, but if Saunders would absorbed another punch in that area, the damage would have been much worse probably life threatening based on the illustration provided.

He may not be able to fight again. If the healing leaves the area weaker, the athletic commissions might deny him a license.

Taunting Canelo like pulling faces and sticking his tongue out didn't really help. It only made Canelo angry and wanting to do real damage which he successfully did.

Now I feel bad for thinking Billy quit. But to those people that think Saunders was ahead,he was ahead like a mouse is ahead of a cat in an enclosed space. Canelo fought just hard enough to weaken and set Billy up.Canelo,Mexican Jaguar

I think Canelo was ahead, but not by much at all. One, maybe two rounds. If Billy was about to find another gear again, he could have won the fight. He was making the Mex look a bit daft and clumsy, but Alvarez is a different cut and got him out of there.

All those clowns even some pro fighters saying Billy was a weakling for not coming back out smh He def. wanted to as a fighter, but corner made the right decision to save his eye. We need a video on the type of force that was behind the uppercut Canelo threw. Didn't help that BJS ran right into it also. He detached Callum Smith's bicep, now this. Canelo's power accuracy is insane. Sheesh

I think everyone understands the severity of the injury, but everyone is making fun of him because he insulted another fighter about quitting early, even stated that he would die in the ring before quitting. If he never acted like a bully then I don’t think people would give him a hard time. He’s a good fighter, just a big douche lol.
