To defeat a bully with humiliation instead of violence: PRICELESS. What daring! What outrageousness! What insolence! What arrogance! Mork (and Robin Williams), I salute you! 😎👍
In life, you'll come across fights that just aren't worth fighting, and nothing's more hurtful to a someone's pride/reputation than fighting someone who won't fight back. Mork is a heck of a tactician.
Well rehearsed bit. Works because basically both the extras and the bad guy, the late Brion James, who always played heavies, do a credible job during the slow motion sequences. Williams ad-libs are just icing on the cake.
Kudos to the other actors in the scene playing slow motion. Special attention to George (Brion James) for doing it and being willing to play the heel and straight man. A great character actor who usually played heavies and sadly died in 1999 at the age of 54.
That's where this falls apart. First Mork takes a moral stance against violence, but he only wins by engaging in the fight and using his superior power to win. So instead of learning to respect his position of passive resistance, Mindy (and the audience) get to see him 'kick ass' on the villain's terms.
I remember when Benson went to jail undercover and had to face Brion James. Also when Bo and Luke Duke got arrested and put on a chain gang and Brion James was one of the guards. He made a crude remark about Daisy and Tom Wopat laid him out!
Funny skit. Of course it's only a skit. In real life we don't have alien powers. In real life, real violence has to actually be dealt with. There is true Evil out there and Someone has to meet it. Either the entirety of Society stands and stops it (usually can achieve this through small metered amounts of justice (violence) or a small front line has to deal with the brunt of it. This is much uglier. or the worst option is when a large part of a society has been coddled into believing evil doesn't exist, and simply looks the other way while places like Chicago, LA, Portland, etc burn to the ground. Those people on that front line experience true catastrohic consequences resulting from "shut off from reality idiots" that refuse to call a spade a spade, while hiding in the suburbs far from the realities and playing out of thier voting and life choices.
AAAnderson055-- So your measure of a person's worth is how much they like an idiotic sitcom from the 80's? Wow, only a really simplistic moron would put that much importance on a silly TV show.

Well easy to deal humiliation instead of violence if you have a magic ability to slow down time..
A timewarp kiss! I love it!!!
I wonder if they dated or secretly in love without the other knowing...

Not many realize Robin's true Value.
I miss Robin Williams so much!! RIP!!
8:46, best use of a time warp!
I’d forgotten all the rapid-fire one liners Williams injected into this.
Peter... you've become a pirate...
"I have beaten guys who are fast "
"Not this fast I'm into timewarps"
Still funny all these many years later
If only he'd sang "Let's do the time warp again," during the second punch.
Where Peter Parker learned to fight.
RIP Robin Williams and Brion James.
Great scene! I love this show!
Robin Williams @ his best
Pam Dawber is so pretty. I can't believe she was born here in Michigan.
I wonder how many takes it took for Robin to get that hat on the hook!
Hey look George I have the support of the people I win! I will use this

Exceptional episode
I miss him. Another depressed genius.
He may have been depressed like all of us, but he didn't commit suicide. Do some research; the man was snuffed out, plain and simple.
@@Write-Stuff He had Parkinson

Hard to believe. This was 1978. Jimmy carter was president and Van Halen had just bust onto the scene. Seems just like yesterday. 😢
November 23 1978
The choreography is shaky, and the slo-mo actors weren't that great, but Williams as Mork simply makes this scene.
I think the fact that they were trying not to laugh at mork but failing made the whole situation even more funny for me
Do not mess with little old ladies.
This is the 1st time I've seen that since it aired.
I like how he made the sound effects of the spurs on cowboy boots
Wow he has some super powers
I know that actor! Seen him in a few films ( mostly horror ).
Look Mae no arm😅
I love his shirt?
7:19 LOL
exellent!!!!!
Stereo 😂
Wow... He's fought Leon, the replicant
Violence is humiliating? Yes, for the person who loses.

I got the support of the people. I win.

The first season was the best
Leon?
No and yes. This is Brion James who portrait Leon in Blade Runner
In an episdode of happy days, Mork was fine with destroying a building and killing everyone in it, just to beat Fonzi.
People change.
@@dan_hitchman007 That is one huge personality change. I wonder if he sleeps well at night. LoL
@@heinzerbrew Not even he sleeps upside down
He lost one to the FONZ
Hey, it's Leon from blade runner.
yep
My mother? Let me tell you about my mother!
WOW!
Oh fuck! I would be very scared of Leon.
I'd like to see his Popeye impression
Bartender, SPAM for everybody!! I likedctge puzzled look on the server's face
"Bvvvbbvvvuup!"
Dirty Dog, from The Jeffersons, is George.
Hey ! Is that the guy from Blade Runner ! Um, um... Leon ! Wake up... time to die !
I miss the days when you could buy lady’s blue jeans that came up to your waste like Mindy’s.
waist* and believe it or not pants like that are back in style with young women
One need to be really skinny to wean jeans now.
@Holly B. You ladies, have a *'waist'.* It only becomes a *'WASTE',* when you *'overdo', the Haagen-Daz, or Ben & Jerry's,* etc.
@@WalterDWormack214 I bet you live alone,friend.
And showed off that pearbottom.
I miss robin Williams!
No match for Mork vs Fonzie.
Is that Jeff Foxworthy?
That is the late, great Brion James (Bladerunner amongst many, many others).
Didn’t think Jeff was born yet in the mid 70s.
I thought the sane thing but, no.
Sub'd
Pam Dawber...what a POA
now we need the Fonz and Mork, the Fonz hooks him up with Shirley, and comedy is born.....
good luck shakespeare
Watching this now I know why I thought it was rubbish the first time around!
😀👍🙏🖖👍🌍
Not sure if there has ever been a shittier show that had such a great comic as its star.
The show was nothing, but it was fun watching Robin clown around.
SPAM FOR EVERYBODY!
they really need to do this skit on the flash
Well, they did it with Quicksilver.
First yr was great second on was lousy!!!
Holy shit it's Brion James!
I can't believe I used to love this show. It is really embarrassing.

Look at that pointy little bra she's wearing on her ironing board chest. How precious.
Mork from ork was a dork
They named you right is your middle name OFF RIP Robin we loved you 😇
Robin Williams was NEVER funny!
That show was absolutely ridiculous ! So stupid! 😖
This was a great reminder of what a crappy show Mork and Mindy was.
